I thought I found the perfect app because I have been looking forever and finally found an app I thought I would like. BUT I HATE IT!!!!!! Whenever I was doing my first recording I was talking and then it said I COULD ONLY RECORD FOR 30 SECONDS! I do like this app but it is so annoying I uninstalled it right away. I would not suggest this app! I really want to use it more but I could barely do anything. It’s a trial version to allow you to test out the app and see if it does what you want. It’s only $1.99 to open up full length recordings. I mean seriously , this guy is supposed to make an app and then give away all his hard work for nothing??? Give the guy $2 so he can eat and continue to make cool apps! Don’t like seeing an advertisement after each video, pony up the extra $2 to shut off that feature. It’s $4 for full use of the app with no commercials. That’s a small price to pay for a app that does what this does. Maybe skip 1 latté at Starbucks this week and help this guy pay his bills so he’ll keep updating the app! Ok, stepping of my soap box to talk about the app now. Things I really like: love that it can be configured to start recording as soon as you open the app. So many times I’ve tried to catch a video quickly and realized I never hit the record button correctly. This eliminates that problem. Also love the pause recording feature , that’s why I bought the app. It works exactly as intended. Nice to be able to seamlessly switch from front camera to back camera. App also has a lot of resolution settings that I think will be usefull. Hi res when needed or lower the res for quicker uploads to FB or whatever. Couple of cons: I wish the adaptive orientation worked between portrait and landscape mode while recording a video. Apparently the auto orientation only works if the phone is turned upside down. (I see this feature would be useful when say recording a plane or bird flying overhead the recording will automatically correct its orientation so the second half of the video isn’t upside down. Would be nice though to be able to switch from portrait mode to landscape mode and back again in the same recording , but that’s not a deal breaker. My only other gripe is that audio playback of you videos in app is very low. You can barely hear the audio at all. The audio is however recorded correctly and you can hear it when you playback from your camera roll and just not while doing playback in-app. Again not a deal breaker but maybe something for a future patch. (Or maybe there’s a setting I’m missing that fixes that …I’ll update my rating to 5stars if I figure that out!) All in all I think it’s a great app and worth the few bucks to unlock the full version !!! ### 2/5 — Not good at all *2021-06-09, version 1.19.0* They didn’t mention that you could only record for 30 seconds. It was okay but I wouldn’t get it if I where you. You would have to make several videos in order to do a full YouTube video. What’s up with that? ### 4/5 — Very good app. But needs tweaking. *2021-01-09, version 1.19.0* It should be easier to resume videos, at the moment you have to long press the image thumbnail in the bottom left and click “resume”. You should be able to simply click a “resume” button. It’s a little long winded when it could be much easier. Also, when you resume a video, at the end it keeps asking to “modify”. There should be an option to remember that you always want to allow to modify, it’s annoying that it keeps asking you. Can we have the menu system in landscape when the phone is in landscape mode ?. It’s hard to read the menu when it’s on its side. And finally, there should be a button on the view to choose the telephoto lens instead of having to dig deep in the options menu every time. If it is that was the case I would understand, but 30 seconds is way too short and I simply cannot support that, and also how the controls are there or not accessible to my needs as I am visually impaired so I have to use voiceover, to navigate my phone which is a part of Apple.
