The improved version of this app unfortunately seems a lot slower than the old. I’ve faithfully updated as every patch has come out hoping it would improve the slowness. Yesterday’s update has made it that literally no weather data loads. Hoping they are able to fix this as the old version of this app before the re-do was a lot better. ### 5/5 — My top weather app *2026-07-15* I rely on this app way more than the Apple weather app itself or even weather network!! I find this app to be very efficient and accurate, I used to go directly to the Facebook page and now I just get the app notifications right on my screen! To clarify, Tornado Warnings are issued by Environment Canada. We have zero control over those. Secondly, the app updates every 15-minutes with new forecast data and that can rapidly change with pop-up storms. I hope you'll give it another chance and we have big improvements upcoming for current conditions, etc. Thank you for your feedback! - Adam ### 3/5 — Helpful info but too buggy *2026-07-14* I love this app and the potential of it, but unfortunately it’s just way too buggy on an IPhone 17 Pro. The UI is choppy and not smooth, the location doesn’t update or refresh even despite this setting every 1 minute. The widget also does not update at times. This app needs improvements before I come back to it. ### 5/5 — Very satisfied. *2026-07-13* As someone who likes to be ontop of the weather this app has it all. I subscribed to IW Pro. For a very fair price, Gives you access to a really well made and reliable radar with all the features and different data information you’ll ever need. Watching the livestreams has shown me that having this app will certainly provide crucial weather alerts when dangerous storms are near by. Adam and the instant weather team strive in giving people those extra few minutes of warning, which is why I highly recommend this app. They are currently working hard on improving and implementing more features and are open for ideas during live streams. Even when I run into problems they have an amazing customer service, very helpful and reply quickly. I highly recommend this app and excited to see what’s more to come! ### 3/5 — Minutes feature seems to be gone *2026-06-26* Since the new update, there are times when the current weather displayed is not what’s actually happening there was a big thunderstorm the other day, but your app displayed to me that it was partly cloudy. So tried to find the minutes feature to tell me when the thunderstorm would be over, and the minutes feature that was always more accurate than everything else is now gone. I don’t know that this launch was thoroughly tested for functionality before it was released. UPDATE today is Thursday, June 25 at 11:27 in the evening there lightning occurring in Saint Catherine’s, and there is no indication of this anywhere in the InstantWeather application. The current conditions say that it’s partly cloudy. T storms are on the radar function But it’s not anywhere in the forecast. It’s not in the immediate conditions. instead of the Fancy updates, it would be great to see increases to accuracy. When I open the application. Now with the new update, there is way too many ads, the app lags as you scroll, and the radar page is almost unreadable anymore. Please go back to the last edition of this app! **Developer response:** Hi there! We've made a bunch of fixes and improvements to the new version of the app: 2.1.402 - Please download and give it another shot. We've added a text slider to the app to make the font size larger. Also, if you liked the old app, you can switch to it in the settings. Tap settings at the top left of the app, scroll down to the "Weather Display" section, then tap on "Updated" Weather Page Style and switch it to "Original". This brings back the old app style. Went through the settings to turn off animations but animations still present. Really dislike this updated experience. **Developer response:** Hi there Ross! Sincerely, - Adam ### 1/5 — Annoying ads that you can’t get rid of *2026-06-05* Ive loved this app and the new layout is ok except that the ads block the hourly view and there is no mechanism to get rid of them. I’m happy to have ads of I don’t pay however when they really interfere with using the app I’ll be be up not using it anymore **Developer response:** Hi there! This is fixed in the new update. All this app does is provide pointless notifications. ### 1/5 — Not accurate whatsoever, fear mongering at its finest *2024-06-22, version 1.0.720* This app/company sensationalizes predicted weather and makes it out to be worse than what it actually is. This evening for example it was predicted that there was a 98% chance of rain whereas The Weather Network was 30%. Surprise, surprise there was no rain. And this happens all the time. Constant warnings for severe weather that never fabricates. The times we’ve sent the kids to the basement because of these predictions are too numerous to count. Keeps freezing and crashes when the pop ups appear. Very lame.
