The second time the person showed up at my door, I gave them the laundry and he said "so what do I do now?" I said "uhh, what do you mean?" The guy replied "so do you know what I do with this now?" I told him to take it to the people who wash the clothes and he left. Although I was concerned I figured maybe it was his first day, and I did get my laundry back that night although they left it in my lobby instead of coming to my door or at least telling me they were leaving it down there. The third time was today. I got a text at 7am saying "your uber is here." I said I'm not going anywhere. He said he was sent to pick something up, and he came up to my door and took the laundry. Tonight when it was brought back I got a call from someone who said they were an uber driver and had my laundry in the car. I said I would buzz him in but he said that someone was requesting a ride request nearby and he didn't have time to come in or bring it up or he'd miss the ride so said I would need to come downstairs out to the car to get it. Make up your own mind about it, this was just my experience using the service 3 times and won't be using it again. I was always concerned that they never give you a receipt or ticket or anything when they pick up your laundry, and even more so now that I know my laundry is most likely riding around with uber passengers. Very weird. Average price for me doing just basic wash and fold was $60. ### 5/5 — So far, so great *2016-03-10* I tried Instawash for the first time this week and I was very impressed and happy with their service. They texted and called me when they arrived to pick up/drop off my laundry, and when my clothes came back to me they were not only neatly washed/folded but sorted into types (shirts/pants/underwear/socks/towels/) AND colors (reds, darks, whites), and tied with string and wrapped around with paper. My closet looks transformed like I all of the sudden became a a fastidious neat freak. I have never used a service like this before and I think it has literally changed my life by making this one thing so much easier--I used to have to spend all day doing laundry in the coin machines at my apartment building once or twice a month... This is so worth it for the time and hassle I save. I definitely plan to continue using Instawash as long as they keep doing their great service for such a reasonable price (my roommate told mere has been taking his laundry himself to a local dry cleaner to do his wash and they charge $15 for 10 pounds of clothes...so you get a cheaper price with Instawash AND your clothes delivered to your door!). Can't beat that. After I told my roommate about this new find of mine he of course immediately signed up and plans to use it for his next load 😊. ### 1/5 — Awful service! *2015-11-02* I placed an order last night to have pick up in the morning. My pickup window came and went with no word from either the carrier or instawash. I finally received a call telling me that my service was effected by traffic and will therefore be late; after it was already late! The service rep then told me they were sending someone else who will be at my place in 20 minutes. 40 minutes later and I still haven't heard from anyone. This is awful service. I get charged if I'm not at the door when the pickup comes but nothing happens if they are an hour late. ### 5/5 — Service Quality Great. App Needs Work *2015-09-15* Whoa, same day service for only $1.50 / lb? And you get to customize your detergent, wash and dry specifications. Where have you been all my life. Kudos on using paper to wrap laundry instead of plastic. ### 5/5 — Easy breezy! *2015-04-20* The new checkout is awesome, I can place a new order with literally a single click! Their delivery and customer service is great. Love this app! ### 5/5 — Solid app *2015-04-16* Thanks for being the only dry cleaning app that delivers to my part of town! ### 5/5 — Good stuff *2014-11-19* Service is great - works just like as advertised. Will use again. ### 1/5 — Lost clothing!! *2014-11-02* Quick turn around. Good job minus the fact My lulus never came back pants and a jacket over $ 300 of workout gear. I let it slide until the day before game 7 , 6 Giants cheer towels didn't come back and my giants shirt. I did have ripped bath towels also. I found it convenient but off I lost these important items. ### 5/5 — Life saver!! *2014-10-11* Had a crazy busy week and needed to get laundry done! Didn't feel like I had enough time to squeeze in a visit to the laundry mat... This app and service was a life saver! Was nervous to try it but all my clothes came back clean, smelling fresh, and well-folded! Thanks for a great service and I'll definitely use it again in a heartbeat :) Highly recommend it!! ### 5/5 — Great App *2014-10-11* My go to app for doing Laundry. Best service ever worth every penny! ## Frequently asked questions about Instawash ### What is Instawash?
