### 4/5 — Bite sized, practical advice

*2023-02-27, version 3.0.1*

This app offers simple, practical tools that I can immediately in my day. Splitting each topic into exploring the reasons and motivations driving behaviors, and check-ins with tools to change makes it feel less overwhelming.

My only issue with the app is that I cannot access my previous learning paths; I get redirected to sign up to the premium account which I already have.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2022-06-21, version 2.0.1*

Really excellent app, but it’s almost impossible to track moods as the app doesn’t respond to tapping on the mood faces in the mood tracker.

### 5/5 — Helps me with emotional regulation

*2022-03-15, version 1.7.1*

I love how this app guides me through different practices to build a healthier mindset. I especially love the emergency audios for different situations like stress, jealous, anger, etc. I also love checking back in and seeing this app grow with even more helpful features. The UI is smooth and beautiful and makes me feel calm. Somehow I feel heard by this app, and I’m really grateful I found it.

### 5/5 — Great wellness app for the mind

*2022-02-27, version 1.7.1*

This is a really good app. It has focus on different problems and offers multiple steps to help solve them. The steps laid out are nicely explained, good UI and really help.

### 5/5 — good

### 5/5 — Changed my life

*2021-11-12*

Ever since I started using intellect not only it has helped me in improving my mental health but it also has made my relation with my parents better.
Coming from someone with severe depression and anxiety it has helped me a lot and for it , I want to thank all the team of this app for making the sessions free of cost ,
And amazing work done guys!!!!!

### 5/5 — 💓💕💓✨✨

*2021-11-03, version 1.6.4*

Best free self help app there is!
Really teaches you really important ways of communicating!

### 5/5 — Good app

*2021-10-17, version 1.6*

I love this app it is helping with my anxiety.Would recommend.

### 5/5 — This app is amazing

*2021-10-15, version 1.6*

I spent months trying to refund this app. It’s because through some very tough times when I thought I was going to break it provided me with way to understand events and retrain my thoughts. I’m so excited to have found it again. Can’t wait to find out what I’ll learn about myself and overcome now!

### 5/5 — Very helpful . Kindly keep this app the same way ie entirely free

*2021-10-08*

Thank you

### 5/5 — I love the app!

*2021-09-29*

I just started using Intellect. I’m loving the user interface. Gives me a lot of confidence to deal with my emotional issues.

### 4/5 — Intellect was my best friend before paywalls.

*2021-09-10, version 1.5*

A few months ago I was suffering from constant panic attacks each time I left my home. Intellect was there to help me and was so grateful that it was there in my time of need.
I used it sparingly and whenever I felt I needed it to calm me down.
But now a lot of the features are blocked by paywalls and I know that I will feel guilty if I pay for it and don’t use it every single day.
But if I do use it every day I feel that it loses it’s comforting effect and becomes a chore.

It’s a great app, and I was extremely happy with it when I had access to all features. I will still use it but I know that I will not receive the same comfort because I won’t have access to some of it, especially the rescue sessions that I used to deal with my loneliness, loss and lack of sleep.

### 5/5 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2021-07-08, version 1.4.9*

Five stars! The app dose what it said it did. There are no ads. There is a premium version, but you don’t need it to be able to use all of the features of the app. No glitches, and it’s super smooth. Looks pretty and aesthetically pleasing too!

### 5/5 — It feels like free therapy

*2021-06-06*

I am glad that it’s free- but dread that it won’t be for long.
It is not a surface level investigation of yourself but a deep dive into why you are the way you are.
It allows you to assess yourself and in a way, be your own therapist. Essential in these times. Love it.

### 4/5 — Psychological reconstruction

*2021-06-05*

Intellect helps us understand our tendencies better. Often they are more universal than we think. It gives a great chance to interact with ourselves and get to the core of our thinking and improve it. Thanks to the team.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Incomplete

*2022-10-25, version 2.2.7*

You are given mini quizzes and not told if you answered correctly. Then you are asked to type out what you would do on certain scenarios and there is no feedback as to whether or not the solutions you’ve come up with are healthy or helping you grow. Needs to be more interactive and to feel as if you are being coached and can get an honest assessment of how you are doing.

### 1/5 — Self help garbage

*2021-10-01, version 1.6*

Like actually just either play video games as a coping mechanism or see a therapist instead

### 1/5 — Bad customer service, mediocre app

*2021-05-20, version 1.4.4*

I recently tried out intellect and felt the app was pretty mediocre, I’ve tried out a decent amount of these CBT apps and for a $60 cad a year subscription I expected a decent app.

When I did get premium it didn’t actually work, it took a couple days for the premium to register with my account even after I restored purchase.

I ended up requesting a refund and the customers service team was atrocious, taking a week to reply to my email and saying they can’t find my account when I sent screencaps of my account email and purchase proof.

Steer clear of this app, there are much better ones either free or cheaper.

### 1/5 — Your spelling mistakes make me question whether or not you even know what you’re doing.

*2020-12-31, version 1.2.8*

By the 3rd swipe on the introduction pages of your app you lost me. Your lack of grammar and all of your spelling mistakes are sloppy and unprofessional. Why would I use an app like that? Another note: “world-leading psychologist”.... I wonder...

### 1/5 — Please leave this app free for existing users

*2020-12-10*

I noticed app will soon be subscription based please I urge to reconsider the existing users and introduce subscription to new users after certain time

### 1/5 — Bad ‘create account’ layout

*2020-09-06, version 1.1.3*

I have downloaded this app a few weeks ago and I’m still to pass the ‘create your account’ phase. The layout is badly done to the point that I cannot enter my chosen password without hitting the ‘privacy policy’ link. And the rare times I can enter the password, there is no other button to continue or to go to the next stage. Maybe it is a good app once you manage to get in, but it makes me doubt when the access has been designed so poorly.

### 2/5 — New User

*2023-01-09, version 2.4.2*

I just downloaded the app and haven’t really done anything yet. I’m using this on my iPad and it is really frustrating that it isn’t full screen - just the size of my phone in the center of the screen. I’m not sure of the point of an iPad supported app if it doesn’t utilize the benefit of a larger screen.

### 3/5 — “In app purchases”

*2022-03-08, version 1.7.1*

I just recently downloaded this app with high hopes. I’m sure the content is good but the “buy the free trial subscription” is engrained in every option that you try to chose from. I can’t even see if I like the app first without them trying to stuff the subscription down my throat. (Limited free options)

### 3/5 — Tried the yearly subscription

*2021-09-25, version 1.6*

Pending review…

### 3/5 — Need iPad support

*2021-02-02, version 1.3.0*

Stellar app - will be recommending it to my close friends and family.

It’s a shame there is no iPad support. I would have liked to use this app on landscape mode on my iPad Pro and type using my Magic Keyboard. Will update to 5 stars if this issue gets fixed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Pretty good company sponsored app

*2025-05-23*

Easy to use, lot of great options and small journal prompts. Also liked the therapist available as well.

### 5/5 — Fruitful

*2024-02-13*

I have used paid apps before and this has all those paid stuffs in it and it does help me and I believe using continuously will be very effective from being negative to become a positive person. This app has lot of professional tools and thanks for this app.

### 5/5 — Really amazing

Hey guys I think this app is amazing and if you stumble upon I highly recommend to download my mental health has improved greatly and it has only been a week or so.

### 5/5 — Most amazing thing that has happened to me this year

*2023-03-15*

*2022-10-20*

The results are shockingly accurate and its packed in with a lot of helpful things.

### 5/5 — A Banquet

*2022-08-08, version 2.1.1*

Having had this app recommended by my minister and spiritual companion, I feel there is a feast of dishes laid before me from which I can choose what to focus on and savour in my quest to become a calmer, happier, benevolent presence in my troubled world

### 5/5 — can’t sync journals across devices

*2022-07-16, version 2.1.0*

I really like this app but I got a new phone recently and so I downloaded Intellect and I had my journal key and everything ready but it didn’t prompt me to enter in my key to get all my journals back. I really don’t want to lose everything I wrote in there but I can’t see any way to fix it.

### 5/5 — Godsend!

*2022-05-10*

If you keep your inner narratives on hold and trust where this app guides you, this app has the potential to change your life.

### 5/5 — Amazing app
