## What is Intensity Check?

Intensity Check — Did you actually push harder today?

You just finished a workout. It felt good — but was it actually better than your usual? Intensity Check visualizes your latest workout and compares it against your previous sessions of the same type, so you know how today really stacked up.

No dashboards to configure. No streaks to babysit. Open the app and get a clear read on your effort - right after you finish, right on your wrist.

How it works
Intensity Check reads workouts recorded by Apple's Fitness app and lines up your latest session next to the ones before. A simple chart comparison shows you at a glance whether you went harder, longer, or eased off.

Compare what matters for each workout type:
• Active & total calories
• Duration and calories per minute
• Average & max heart rate
• Distance, average pace, and speed
• Pace per 100m for swims
• Lap counts
• Heart rate over the workout, superimposed over the previous ones

Metrics adapt automatically to the activity — pace for runs and walks, speed for rides, pace-per-100 for pool swims, heart rate and calories for strength and HIIT.

Catches the workout you forgot to end
Left the timer running through your cool-down, your commute, or the rest of the afternoon? A three-hour "run" wrecks your pace and calories-per-minute and throws off every comparison. Intensity Check spots these automatically — flagging sessions where your heart rate went idle long before the timer stopped, or where the duration dwarfs your usual for that activity. It suggests a corrected end time based on when you were actually working, and you can fine-tune it with a tap. Your effort-based metrics stay accurate, so the comparison reflects the workout you really did.

Built for Apple Watch
The watch app runs on its own, no phone required. When you wrap up a workout, Intensity Check prompts you right there so you can see how it measured up before you've even caught your breath.

Supported workouts
Running (indoor & outdoor), walking, hiking, cycling (indoor & outdoor), pool & open-water swimming, strength training, functional strength, HIIT, yoga, and more.

Private by design
Your health data stays on your device and in Apple Health. Intensity Check reads what it needs to make the comparison, nothing is collected, and nothing leaves your devices.

Stop guessing whether you had a good session. Check it instead.
