### 3/5 — Decent

*2024-08-26, version 3.0.4*

Gets the job done but very buggy. Sometimes workouts do not save, the metrics will shift from kg to lb and i will have to manually adjust. Sometimes app randomly closes.

### 4/5 — Good until recent update

*2024-07-02, version 3.0.0*

How am I supposed to see the exercise I’m supposed to do if the annoying red bar is covering it? Uh oh…

### 3/5 — Crashes Frequently

*2024-03-18, version 2.3.0*

It’s a solid app to easily track and add workouts. The search/add function is very easy to use and tracking workouts that are in progress can be a breeze.

However it’s started to frequently crash with a “Unable to Load App” error message. I’m not sure if it’s a recent update or because I’m on a iPhone 15, but new users beware.

I’ve also seen it not accurately track my workout “diary” and not saying I worked out on a certain day even though I did. After closing and reopening the app it pops back up.

So with those frequent bugs, it’s a 3/5 until those are fixed.

### 4/5 — Really nice gym app

*2022-09-22, version 2.3.0*

The only issue with this is that the main feature that sticks out to me is the program builder which many other apps I’ve searched for don’t have a good interface for making one in their app except for this one. Unfortunately, to access this feature, you need to pay for a subscription or a life time fee.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2022-04-04, version 2.3.0*

I've been using it for a bit and very happy with it!

### 5/5 — In love

*2022-02-05, version 2.3.0*

This app is exactly what I need . It’s simple. Effective. Don’t change a thing!

### 5/5 — Perfect App

*2022-01-24, version 2.3.0*

Exactly what I needed

### 3/5 — Workouts can get erased

*2021-12-03, version 2.3.0*

Great app, it allows you to track progress. The problem is that it is buggy, which involves sets and even entire workouts being lost. If the developers could fix this it would be a fantastic app

### 5/5 — Perfect for powerlifting

*2020-09-05, version 2.3.0*

I've been using Strong for years, but this is better. Thanks!

### 5/5 — All you need!

*2020-04-11, version 2.2.6*

Over all it’s pretty compete

Tracking strength and performance

A very complete data base of programs to follow, very user friendly interface, easy to create you own program and the price of the full version it’s the best one on the market!

Hands down this is very useful

### 2/5 — Incredibly frustrating

*2020-02-14, version 2.2.6*

Previously I have had no issues with this app, but recently it has been constantly not saving any sets that I check as complete, not saving any updates to the weight or reps and erasing parts of previous workouts. I have the full paid version and do not have any internet connection issues.

### 5/5 — Great user friendly layout

*2020-02-14, version 2.2.6*

Easy to use to keep track as I go. Doesn’t slow me down or distract me.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cool UI update but bugged

*2024-07-02*

I appreciate the UI update. It looks “new” but the positive ends there. The app is completely unusable. It feels like a beta. The app will randomly delete crash/freeze and delete your logged workouts. Buttons are either overlapping or will just disappear. As you’re logging your data, the app will take you to a random date. Again, I appreciate the fresh and new UI but no point if I can’t use the app. I’d prefer to have the old UI until they can work on this app that really feels like a beta.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback and apologies for the issues you have been encountering. These should be resolved in the most recent update (3.0.1). However if you are still having any issues, please reach out to me at support@intensityapp.com and I will get them resolved.

### 1/5 — BAD UPDATE!!!

*2024-06-30*

Worst update to an application ever. deleted all my data that ive been putting in for years now!!!!
also the update made the application hard to use and full of bugs

**Developer response:** Firstly, I apologise for the issues. Your data is not lost, you are likely just logged into the wrong account. Please contact me at support@intensityapp.com and I will help you regain access to your account.

### 1/5 — Crap

*2022-12-05, version 2.3.0*

App has a lot of bugs and creator has given up on the app. Find another one

### 1/5 — Keeps requesting access to clipboard

*2022-09-19, version 2.3.0*

Why does it need my data?

### 1/5 — Fix membership amounts in the app

*2021-04-22, version 2.3.0*

Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice app. The problem I have is that in the description the developer provides for the app he/she says one thing about the prices for the memberships. But I’m the app and I’m the App Store description of the app the prices are different. Which is why we see. So I was like cool 16.99 pretty cheep for a lifetime membership I’ll do it. Then boom 30 dollars down. Idk what y’all think but that looks like a cash grab scheme in my opinion. It needs to get fixed. Not just say it in your description. Also I prob won’t get a refund or partial refund for what I thought I was going to be paying. I was going to use this app but I probably won’t anymore for this sole reason. It really turned me off

### 1/5 — Useless as a workout journal

*2019-12-28, version 2.2.6*

Every time I do an update I lose all my training notes, happened 3 times so far will be looking to a different app for this.

### 1/5 — Reset Workouts

*2018-05-27, version 2.0.7*

This app has the potential to be the best workout planning and tracking app on the market but drops the ball in a couple essential areas. I CANNOT RESET THE DIARY! I went to load a simple deadlift program from the included store to see what it details but came to find out the default settings on the app are just stupid. The app defaulted to having all future workouts already completed even as far in advance as 4 months from now. And there isn’t the ability to clear this out to start over. Also when programming the lifts it asked for my 1rm (great to see people actually focusing around planning weighs and percentages instead of passive tracking thank you btw) in pounds but went to program the lifts in kilos. When I switched units back the app converted the weight up to pounds making this useless. I would love to use the app and maybe subscribe in the future but these two key points are making it unusable to me currently.

### 1/5 — Not great

*2017-11-26, version 1.3.8*

Just downloaded, not a good app. Super buggy and difficult to understand. Not going to keep using simply because I don’t have time to get up to speed or wait for updates that would I hope make this a better app. Don’t bother.

### 2/5 — M

*2023-07-19, version 2.3.0*

Good when it works. Frustrating when it doesn’t save your sets

### 2/5 — Not awesome

*2020-06-01, version 2.3.0*

Great app but you need to add a set function

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — البرنامج

*2026-06-27, version 3.1.3*

اروع برنامج

### 5/5 — Gym Rat

*2026-06-07, version 3.1.3*

Amazing app - used it for years to track progress. It’s elite.

### 5/5 — Great job

*2025-10-04, version 3.0.13*

Literally my favorite fitness application thanks Taylor for this app we hope to see widgets being added <3

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2024-07-05, version 3.0.1*

ive been using this app for years now, and i cant workout without looking at it, it helped a lot with remembering my weights and reach full intensity. Also they have a great responsive support team

### 5/5 — Brilliant App. 5/7 Perfection

*2024-07-05, version 3.0.1*

Read it somewhere a clean, simple and easy to use app was needed for recording lifting heavy things. This legend created and shared it. Been using it for many years. Well worth paying for the premium and supporting this legend.
Thank you!!

### 5/5 — Thumbs up

*2024-06-17, version 2.3.0*

Great app for tracking lifts at the gym. Thanks

### 5/5 — Straightforward enough and highly customizable

*2024-05-22, version 2.3.0*

Tho not w/o room for improvement, the iOS app is by far one of the most straightforward and non-confusing workout trackers I used. If anything the web interface needs some more work cuz clearly users ain’t intended to use a laptop to track workouts at least in my case I use that for program building.

### 5/5 — Finally found the app I needed

*2023-06-07, version 2.3.0*

This app has been great, been using it a year and has really focused my workouts in new manner that has enabled me to improve greatly. Free version is sufficient, I just decided to pay the lifetime premium because I wanted to support the app maker for building some a great solution! Thank you!!

### 5/5 — Simple, easy to customize, has everything I need.

*2022-11-24, version 2.3.0*

This app does everything I wanted it to do, does it well, tracks everything I need with no fluff and no annoyance. Awesome app. 10/10. Wish I could buy the developer a beer.

Only function I’d like to add, though, if to be able to display RPE on the main screen and/or track it with every set. Like, after I do my set, when I tap the (+), if I could have a way to enter my RPE at the same time, like having the RPE slider in the “add set” pop-up would be perfect.

### 5/5 — Not a user yet but a convert from “strong.”

*2022-05-21, version 2.3.0*

This has capabilities from an android app I used that has been sorely missed. Noted some issues on touch input latency. Wouldn’t mind CSV interop with excel if I can get the data frame from the app’s template, or a rest timer that kicks off during set updates. I was hooked when I didn’t need a login to review the app, R.M. Stallman might lose his gut here. Not sure if I want to buy instead of subscribe, might gladly be a victim of capitalyzum to see more.
