Misleading app, said it was free for one year, but after confirming it, I was charged $14.99! No refund, I never used it ！

hi I got this app a while ago via AppAdvice . it’s supposed to be lifetime free - I needed memory on my phone so temporarily Deleted this app… now I just reloaded yr app on new ph w more memory & when I hit “restore” purchase it doesn’t do anything . plz note I don't think I made account - please advise how to get back my acct . Very confusing practices
App Advice had a free premium lifetime promotion on this App which I took advantage of, as other users did. After downloading the app, this turned into a one-year trial instead, with 1000 credits. I wrote to the developer and am waiting for a response. In the meantime, as I was reading some of the reviews, I noticed that the developer replied to another user complaining about the same issue that duw to Apple restrictions they were unable to provide a free lifetime premium option??? This is very confusing, as I have a large number of apps from the App Store from other developers that came with a free lifetime subscription, so obvioulsy this is not only possible, but something that is used often by multiple developers. I would recommend to this developer to inform themselves better and provide it for those of us that bought the app when this promotion was offered, which will translate into more positive reviews.
