## What is Intermittent Fasting?

Burn is an intermittent fasting tracker that shows exactly what your body is doing, hour by hour. Start a fast in one tap and watch fat burning, ketosis and autophagy arrive in real time.

WHAT MAKES BURN DIFFERENT

Most fasting apps give you a countdown. Burn gives you the biology behind it.
As your fast progresses you can see glycogen dropping, fat burning starting, ketosis beginning and autophagy switching on. When you can see the stages, every hour feels earned.

SEE EVERY FASTING STAGE

Follow your fast through Fed, Catabolic, Fat Burning, Ketosis and Autophagy on a live timeline, so you always know where you are and what comes next. Stages are educational estimates built to keep you motivated and consistent.

ONE SCORE FOR EVERY FAST

Body Score combines your fasting consistency and your weight trend into a single number. Instead of judging progress by the scale alone, you get a clearer view of whether your routine is actually moving in the right direction.

EVERY PLAN, FROM BEGINNER TO ADVANCED

16:8 to start and learn the rhythm
18:6 and 20:4 when you are ready to go deeper
OMAD for one meal a day
Extended and open-ended fasts with no time cap
Custom windows for any schedule that fits your life

ALWAYS IN VIEW

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets
Live Activities and Dynamic Island
Apple Watch app and complications
Smart notifications at the moments that matter
HealthKit sync and iCloud backup
Dark Mode

TRACK WHAT CHANGES

Log your weight, review every completed fast, build streaks, hit personal records and watch your trends over weeks and months rather than days.

FREE TO START

The core fasting timer is free with no usage limits. Burn Pro unlocks Body Score, Apple Watch, widgets, advanced insights and analytics, history editing, progress trends and personal records.

Whether this is your first 16:8 or your fiftieth extended fast, Burn stays out of the way and lets the timer do the talking.

### 1/5 — Pro bugs!

*2026-08-20*

I’ve tried every single Apple sync workaround, yet still, somehow, I have to keep initiating pro in the app. Over and over, multiple times per session. Fairly certain I’ll have to request a refund.

**Developer response:** Thank you for flagging this, and sorry that you’re having this hassle. Having to re-activate pro repeatedly per session isn’t something we’ve been able to reproduce on our side, which usually means it’s specific to how your subscription is resolving rather than something we can spot in testing.

Would you mind emailing support@burnfasting.com? The next update adds a Contact Support option in profile that includes a support ID, which lets us look up your subscription directly and see what’s being returned for your account, that should tell us whether it’s something on our side or the store side, either way, we will get it sorted for you.

### 5/5 — Visually engaging fasting app

*2026-08-03*

Really engaging visually and very informative, not just a basic timer and the Home Screen widgets are really fantastic, could have more features but purely for fasting it’s one of the better ones out there

**Developer response:** Amazing feedback to hear, thank you so very much, we’re very proud of how the app functions and looks and appreciate your kind words. Happy fasting!!

### 2/5 — Ai slop? Fix weight tracker please.

*2026-05-29*

(Edit: adjusted rating down because dev not responsive. I switched to Fasty.) I tried to contact for a bug report but could not find where to do it.

I accidentally entered the wrong weight by 100 lbs, so the graph is way off, even after immediately putting in the correct weight. What was odd is that it put the correct weight difference from days ago, but my graph is goofed with no way to edit. Also it dos not seem to update to Apple health with that turned on.

When ending the fast, after I met my goal, don’t pressure me to keep fasting.

Thanks.

**Developer response:** Update: everything below is live as of 1.2.4, along with a pro restore fix. If you ever want to give Burn another look, we’d genuinely like to know whether it holds up now.

Hi, thank you for this - genuinely useful, specific feedback, and we've acted on it directly.

Weight graph & editing: Fixed. You can now edit or delete any logged weight entry, so a mistaken entry no longer permanently distorts your graph. We also traced and fixed the exact issue you hit: the graph and trend comparisons weren't always using the correct chronological entry, which is why the difference looked like it was pulling from days earlier instead of your last real entry. Both are corrected now.

Apple Health sync: Fixed. Weight sync had a permissions issue that could silently fail - it now syncs correctly, and if something ever does go wrong, the app will tell you instead of failing quietly.

Ending a fast after hitting your goal: Fixed. Burn no longer pressures you to keep going once you've hit your target - it simply confirms your fast and lets you close it out.

Reaching us for bug reports: You're right that this wasn't obvious, and we're actively working on a clearer, direct path for feedback and bug reports from inside the app.

Everything above is live in the latest update - if you're able to update and give it another try, we'd genuinely appreciate you taking another look at your rating. And if anything's still off, we'd rather hear it straight from you than guess, so thank you again for spelling it out this clearly.

### 1.1.8 — 2026-07-22

Squashed some pesky bugs.

### 1.1.7 — 2026-07-17

Weight tracking, done right

You can now edit or delete a logged weight entry - no more permanent typos throwing off your graph.
If a new entry looks unusually different from your last one (e.g. a big accidental jump), Burn will ask you to double-check it before saving - without blocking you if it's correct.
Fixed an issue where correcting a mistaken weight entry wouldn't fully fix your weight graph and trends.
Apple Health sync for weight is more reliable, with clearer status if a sync fails and why.
A calmer way to end a fast

Ending a fast after you've already hit your goal no longer pressures you to keep going - Burn now simply confirms your fast and celebrates what you completed.
Ending a fast before your goal still gives you a clear, simple choice, with optional support tools if you need them - never forced.
Fixed an issue where flexible (open-ended) fasts could be incorrectly treated as having "reached a goal" they were never set to hit.
More accurate Body Score

Fixed cases where your Body Score wouldn't reflect a fast you were actively in the middle of.
Fixed hydration, training, and rest-day status occasionally showing yesterday's data if the app had been running in the background overnight.
Streaks, challenges, and your Morning Brief now recognise long fasts

Fixed a bug where an ongoing multi-day fast wasn't being counted, causing your streak, challenges, and Morning Brief to incorrectly say you hadn't fasted.
Tone and clarity improvements throughout the app

Cleaned up notification and in-app messaging to be clearer, calmer, and more to-the-point - less repetitive, less "hype," more useful information.

### 1.1.5 — 2026-04-20

Added the ability to edit the start time of an already started fast, the ability to delete a fast, and a beta version of light mode with a toggle in profile view. Squashed some bugs.
