Really not suited for the topic of traveler safety and security. I just logged in today as part of a travel risk assessment project and my password wasn’t working, maybe from switching phones. It was a hassle changing it, more so if you were in need of support. So why no fingerprint or facial recognition login? My Trips is empty. But when I try to enter a trip myself it says I can’t because it is currently loading them. Well, it’s been “currently loading” for about 14 hours now. In a crisis, would I turn to this thing for help? Not a chance. ### 2/5 — Wrong location *2024-11-29, version 17.3* My app is set up to use location services while I am using the App (I don’t want it to use it in the background). While using the app, it currently shows my location as Indonesia, while I am located in Australia. Application has requirement for strong and complex password, that dose not make sense in case of real emergency when quick request for help is required, and mind of victim may be confused. Application get locked after small number of password entering mistakes. Application is expected to be used very rarely and it is difficult to memorize complex password. Application users E-mail as user ID that bad idea in general because E-mail changes frequently, and users frequently have savers E-mails for different purposes. Any time I leave the house or am moving around away from home, the blue arrow triggered by this app shows up in the Dynamic Island and renders it useless for anything else even if I force close the app. I cannot figure out how to shut this “feature” off. I am running the most recent version of the app as of this writing. I’m ready to delete the app if this isn’t fixed - it is incredibly annoying. Additionally, I echo the issue others have mentioned with the app constantly logging out. This has been an issue for years and nothing has been done to fix it. It’s supposed to be usable in an emergency. It should stay logged in, or at the least, should work with Face ID so logins can occur quickly in times of crisis. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t update *2026-06-22, version 18.6.1* When I open the app, it says I need to update. In spite of my previous initial set up of the app, it seems the developer makes it impossible to access it, even having previously set up facial recognition sign in. I can’t imagine what the heck one does if one needed this in a crisis or emergency. Frankly, not sure it’s worth the memory it takes on my phone. That said at this point I couldn’t even tell you either way. You only find out it has done so when you have likely already travelled and need to use it. In this case, having to go through the password reset process in the middle of an incident is ridiculous. It’s clearly an in-house effort and I know it’s a lot of work. I do have a few small quirks to report that may be easy to work out: Alerts don’t seem to be showing pictures and maps, etc as they appear in the emailed alert messages. Can we find a solution for that? The navigation buttons sometimes disappear into the gray background - any way to highlight the box with arrow? Maybe a border or just a more contrasting color? Screen padding - I think the screen padding settings are optimized for Android - on iPhone version the UI comes very close to the edges of the screen. Could probably benefit from a few mm adjustment top and bottom. Location settings seem to be configured incorrectly - it’s tracking me as if I’m using navigation, not in the background (blue pill behind clock). To make this easier it may be advisable to start with a UI “template” that’s already been established by other successful apps, etc and focus more on features and info. ### 5/5 — Great tool, saved me more than once! *2024-01-05, version 15.0.21* Thanks again ### 5/5 — Hospitalization in Colorado *2023-07-04, version 7.7.0* When I was taking a break with my family from Scotland in Colorado I had the misfortune of a severe back spasm and I was rushed to A&E and spent 2 days in hospital full of various types of pain relief. I initially spoke to Simon who told me to phone 911 as I was in so much pain which I did and the paramedics were there within two minutes with the fire service. Simon phoned me the next day, and actually give me all the details of where I was and also sent me an email for the hospital as they were asking about my insurance provider. Simon made the whole interaction and process seam so seamless and made me feel reassured about my situation. Thankyou so much for this amazing and efficient service. Under the circumstances it was a pleasure and I was extremely well looked after by the St Anthony hospital in Summit County. P.S. I think it was Simon.
