## What is Internet Polyglot?

Internet Polyglot is dedicated to helping you learn foreign languages by providing you a way to memorize words and their meanings through the use of vocabulary lists clearly organized by topic. This helps your memory grasp more information and retain it for longer time.

How to use this program:

1. Select a pair of languages on the initial screen;
2. You will see the lesson list for this pair of languages;
3. Tap on a lesson name and you'll see the word lists and translations for that lesson;
4. After reading the words, tap on the "camera" icon and you'll see the picture associated with that word, tap on the "speaker" icon and you'll hear pronunciation of that word recorded by a native speaker;
5. Now tap on "Play" button and you'll start a Guessing Game;
6. You are given a word and several possible translations;
7. Just select the right translation;
8. All results of your game are recorded and visible on the lesson detail screen;
9. When you play, those words that you missed in the quiz / guessing game will be repeated more often than those that you know well to allow you to have more practice on words that challenge you.

Another cool feature of this app: you can play offline! When you open a lesson it gets saved on your device (you will see a green dot next to the lesson's name in the lesson list). Now even if you don't have good phone coverage you still can play with this lesson when you're in a poor coverage area - like all the foreign countries you'll go to after learning their languages through iPoly.

Here is the list of languages that you can learn with Internet Polyglot:
Amharic, Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Swahili, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian. More languages to come in the future.

### 2/5 — A lot of potential but...

*2014-04-19*

It does not allow me to register and says "please provide a password hint" even though I've already entered it. It won't let me proceed past that point. Please make this more user friendly so I (and everyone else) can use your app!

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2014-02-19*

Thanks for maked it, thank you so much :)

### 5/5 — Linguaphiles rejoice!

*2012-10-22*

Simple to use, ACTUALLY free unlike so many look-alikes, and provides an exhaustive vocab list complete with audio files for most languages. An app easily sellable being given away, any linguaphile would do well.

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2012-04-07*

I've been looking for a language app that would provide a sufficient amount of vocabulary for each language and present it in a graspable manner. "Internet Polyglot" offers both benefits and is extremely helpful for anyone learning a foreign language. The only problem with it is, when I tried English-Chinese lessons, the subcategories were all in Arabic. It's a minor glitch but I hope it's fixed soon.

### 3/5 — More languages

*2011-11-23*

Please add Korean!! You have every language I want to learn EXCEPT Korean. :(

### 3/5 — Great app but amharic and chinese need some work

*2011-03-26*

This truly is an impressive app, very useful and powerful. Unfortunately though, there are major issues with two of the main languages I bought it for:

1) The Chinese is only in traditional characters, even though simplified characters are by far the more common of the two, as they are used throughout mainland China. Can you please add simplified Chinese as a separate language?
2) My iPod touch 4 can't read the Amharic characters; they just show up as empty squares, making the whole Amharic section pretty much useless. I have another app (called simply "Amharic") that does show the characters properly, so it must be possible. Please fix and I will rate it five stars for sure!

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2011-02-22*

I think this is a great app, very helpful when learning new vocabulary. The only negative is the languages like mandarin or one that you need to have a previous knowledge of the alphabet of the language. But overall I think this is a great language learning app! :-)

### 5/5 — Отличный апп!!!!

Очень помогает учить ин. языГ!!!!

### 5/5 — Excellent language learning tool

*2010-11-14*

I love this app for the following reasons:

- Simple to use
- Quick way to learn common words and improve you vocabulary in a language of your choice
- Tests your knowledge of the words you learnt by using the Play feature

Rapid way to learn not just to know the meaning but also to pronounce common words in a foreign language.

### 5/5 — Fun time learning words

*2010-10-15*

Love this app :) Words get remembered really easy. Highly recommend to anyone learning languages. You can even learn words from specific categories like auto or shopping etc. I am planning to travel to Germany so I will definitely look up words I may need. Thank you!!!
