“This technology was developed using the most current clinical evidence-based information that is available in the US. Behind this technology there is a team of expert clinicians, scientists, endocrinologists, oncologists, and other specialists who are passionate about bridging the gap between expert knowledge and the patient.“
Katya Tsaioun, PhD, Nutrition, Tufts University; L.D.N.

“Proper nutrition and other alternative treatments show great promise in preventing and treating many of the illnesses that we deal with every day. I encourage all my patients to follow appropriate nutrition and research other options for themselves. The Choose This Not That series are an excellent step towards improving people’s knowledge in this area.”
Shahin Tabatabaei, MD
Mass General Hospital; Harvard Medical School

“The Choose This Not That series of apps provide dietary recommendations focused on common chronic health problems. They are easy to understand and thus easy to implement into daily life. Most doctors would find it difficult to discuss dietary recommendations at the level of detail found in the series. They should serve as a valuable complement in helping people manage chronic illnesses through dietary and lifestyle modifications.”
Andrew S. Lenhardt, MD

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2023-01-15, version 1.0*

The app is slow when using it and does not have a wealth of information like the App Store suggests. Not worth the money. Poorly put together and not functional.

### 1/5 — Can’t log in

*2020-09-15, version 1.0*

This is a horrible app. Can’t log in. Takes forever to get to the screen to see Information

### 1/5 — An exercise in frustration

*2019-11-29, version 1.0*

Incredibly poor performance. The app is completely dependent on remote servers, and those servers are generally not working. If you want to spend a long time waiting for every little thing, finally just to be rewarded with a connection error, then this is the app for you.

**Developer response:** So sorry that you had difficulties with access to the network. At times there can be temporary down time with our hosting companies such as when they upgrade their hardware or network, but it is very rare. Otherwise, as long as you have good internet connection the response time is immediate.

### 1/5 — No directions

*2019-03-10, version 1.0*

I tried to create a login. There are no directions as to what the username and password requirements are such as capital letter, numbers, etc requirements. It won’t work but I have no idea what to change.

**Developer response:** So sorry if you had problems with Sign Up process. As a new user, you must tap on Sign Up and not Login. There are no specific requirements for username and password. But you need to close the on-screen keyboard before you tap on any buttons. I wish you had emailed us so we could help you immediately. Wishing you good health.

### 1/5 — IC you

*2018-08-08, version 1.0*

I dn loaded this app several x’s and every single time I could not get registered. I kept getting the notice of needing a “code”. I don’t know where I was suppose to get the “code”. Trying to get this app to utilize was a complete and literal waste of my time; every single time I tried.

**Developer response:** Sorry about your frustration. The first time you launch the app, you should click on Sign Up. Next, YOU choose your usercode and password, and create your profile. You need to close the on-screen keyboard before you tap on any buttons. I hope you use the app and get your IC under control. If any questions email us at apps@personalremedies.com for quick reply. Wishing you good health.

### 2/5 — Not enough food options

*2018-03-04, version 1.0*

I’ve just downloaded but couldn’t find pecans under nuts and no wine rating under beverages. Will update review later. For the cost it should be MUCH better than similar apps.

**Developer response:** You will find both Pecans and Wine listed under Detailed Nutrition Guide under Nuts & Seeds, and Desserts/Snacks/Beverages respectively, as not helpful to those suffering from IC. You can also search under Is This Good for Me feature which clearly shows that both food items need to be avoided. Under the Suggest feature they will not show up, because the app will not "suggest" an item that should be avoided. If any other issue, please email us at apps@personalremedies.com for quick response.
