## What is Interval?

Make a stop-motion video in the time it takes to read this.

view, so every move lands. Time-lapse mode is one tap away.

Export as video or GIF. One purchase, no subscription, ever.

Time-lapse runs while Interval is open on screen — it's built for minutes
and hours, not overnight.

Interval is for animators, hobbyists, and anyone turning still moments into
motion, without a steep learning curve.

Built by a designer who wanted a simpler animation tool.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-29

Faster exports
Export your clips up to 17× faster, with the same quality. Longer clips now take a fraction of the time.

Better exposure control
Lock focus and exposure without losing control of brightness. A new reticle also shows exactly where the camera is metering.

Start another clip
Finished with one? Tap New Clip after sharing to clear the camera and start shooting again.

Quicker GIF export
Choose 240, 320 or 640px directly from the export drawer, without opening another menu.

Smoother filmstrip
The filmstrip now keeps moving after you swipe, making longer sessions quicker to scan.

Polish & fixes
Onion skin now follows your clip in landscape, capture controls stay steady while shooting, and exporting is more reliable.

Version 1.1.2: faster where it matters, quieter everywhere else.

One-time purchase. No subscription.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-24

Export as GIF
Save any clip as a looping GIF at 240, 320 or 640px. Included, no purchase.

Landscape capture
Turn the phone and shoot a widescreen clip. Interval locks the orientation to
your first frame, so every shot matches — and what you frame is exactly what
you export.

Self-timer
Set a 3, 5 or 10 second delay and get yourself into the shot before the first
frame lands.

Redesigned camera
A cleaner top bar that keeps your framing controls together, controls that stay
upright as you turn the phone, and a preview that shows the exact crop you'll
get.

AF/AE Lock
Lock focus and exposure while you set up a shot, so the light stops shifting
between frames.

Burst mode
Press and hold the shutter in Manual mode to capture a burst of frames.

Grid control
Toggle the grid on or off. It now scales to whichever aspect ratio you're
shooting.

Player polish
A cleaner player, smoother transport controls, faster preview, and frame-rate
changes that no longer stutter.

Cleanup pass
Custom stop limits behave properly, thumbnails no longer clip at the edges,
lens panning is steadier, and the capture flow was rebuilt underneath. You
won't see that last one, but your phone will feel it.

Version 1.1.0: the "we couldn't stop tinkering" update.
