## What is Intervo?

Intervo is a HIIT and interval timer that does one thing perfectly — and asks you to pay for it exactly once.

No ads interrupting your set. No monthly subscription. No account, no sign-up, no tracking. Just $0.99, and it's yours.

But the real reason to choose Intervo is how it feels.

FEEL EVERY PHASE — HAPTIC-FIRST

Most timers expect you to stare at the screen. Intervo expects you to move. Every phase change is a distinct vibration you feel without looking:

• Work — a strong, sharp double-pulse. Go.
• Rest — a single soft pulse. Ease off.
• The final 3 seconds — a light 3-2-1 count-in tick.
• The finish — a celebratory ramp.

Pair that with crisp, synthesized audio cues and you can follow phase changes without staring at the screen.

SCREEN ON, READY TO TRAIN

Intervo keeps the screen awake while you train — that's the default, so your countdown is right there every time you glance down and it never loses your place. Audio cues play during the active workout, so you can train heads-up while the runner stays visible.

DUCK YOUR MUSIC, DON'T STOP IT

Keep your own playlist going. When a cue plays, Intervo briefly lowers your music, then brings it right back. Prefer cues over the top at full volume? Switch to Mix mode in Settings.

A RUNNER WORTH WATCHING

When you do look down, it's gorgeous: a huge countdown inside a draining progress ring, a full-screen background that smoothly cross-fades through phase colors (amber prepare → coral work → teal rest → green finish), your round and set counters, a "next up" preview, and an overall-progress bar. Tap anywhere to pause. Works beautifully in portrait and landscape, and keeps the screen awake while you train.

READY THE MOMENT YOU OPEN IT

Five proven formats are built in and ready to run:

• Tabata — 20s work / 10s rest × 8
• HIIT 40/20 — 40s work / 20s rest × 8
• EMOM 10 — one minute on the minute × 10
• Boxing — three 3-minute rounds with corner rests
• Quick Circuit — six 45/15 stations, three times through

Use any of them as-is, or tap to build your own.

BUILD EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT

The editor is simple and powerful: add steps, drag to reorder, set each duration on a wheel, and label them however you like ("Sprint", "Plank", "Burpees"). Choose how many times the block repeats and how long to rest between sets. The total time updates live as you go.

DRIFT-FREE, ALWAYS ACCURATE

Intervo's clock is anchored to real wall-clock time, so it never drifts and never desyncs — switch apps, take a call, come back, and the countdown is exactly where it should be.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Everything lives on your device. There is no account, no analytics, no network connection, and nothing collected. The only thing Intervo stores is your workouts and preferences, right on your phone.

One focused tool. One small price. Built with care.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.1 — 2026-06-24

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, plus small display fixes. iPhone is unchanged.

### 2.0 — 2026-06-21

Intervo 2.0 — a pro upgrade for interval training, still fully offline and haptic-first.

• Warm-up & cool-down bookends that auto-wrap your block on the same drift-free clock.
• Per-round splits: planned vs actual seconds for every round, right on the finish screen.
• Session training load (sRPE) with a 1–10 effort picker and a 7-day weekly-load chip in History.
• Energy estimate from an optional body weight, phase-weighted for each workout.
• Training heatmap + all-time personal records in History.
• Full run-plan preview with cumulative clocks, plus one-tap 0.75×–1.5× intensity scaling.

No account, no network — everything stays on your device.

### 1.2 — 2026-06-15

Version 1.1 (build 4)

Speak phase names — turn on "Speak phase names" in Settings to hear each step's name called out loud at every transition: "Burpees", "Sprint", "Rest", "Recover". Train completely heads-up, eyes off the screen.

Export your history — tap the share icon in the History screen to export your full session log as a CSV file. Open it in Numbers, Excel, or email it to your coach. Includes date, time, workout name, duration, rounds, and sets for every completed session.

Bug fix: speech is interrupted immediately on pause or stop so a long step name doesn't bleed into the next phase.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-14

Version 1.1

Workout History — every completed session is now saved. See your streak, total sessions, and how long you've trained this week in the new History screen (clock icon, top-left). Tap any session for details; swipe to delete.

Seven new built-in templates — Gibala 10×1 (the science-backed time-efficient HIIT protocol from Gibala et al., J Physiol 2012), Billat 30/30 (vVO2max intervals), Ladder (1-2-3-2-1 min), Pyramid (ascending effort), MMA Rounds (5 × 3 min), Strength Circuit (8-station × 2 sets), and Cool-Down Flow (active recovery).

The Finish screen now shows how many times you've completed that workout.

Bug fix: the "Use This Template" button now reliably dismisses the template sheet before opening the editor in all cases.

### 1.0 — 2026-06-04

No release notes.
