We decided to follow a biblical model of marriage and found that Intimately Us might be of benefit. We have learned so much! We are more deeply connected now than we have ever been. From the educational material to the additional resources, we have learned so much. We’ve gone from having sex a couple of times a year to once or twice a week. We’re celebrating our 46th anniversary in 3 weeks! Podcast and have been enjoying both for months now. It’s wonderful to share something fun and intimate together. We’ve used many functions of the app, including the reminders, challenges, calendar (journaling about date nights and lovemaking together on it), the sexy bucket list, fantasies, flirty invites, and games, but the most impactful has been the LEARN section. We’ve been married 22 years and are learning things about anatomy, biology, emotional intimacy/connection and technique that we have never known before. I’ve recommended it to so many couples in our church that at this point I’ve lost count! The only change I suggested to the Intimately Us team was making the “challenge completion” private to the spouse completing it, similarly to the reminders section. ### 5/5 — A great way to connect and keep intimacy playful *2025-11-17, version 1.1.2* My husband and I started using this app after our pastor recommended it to us as a way to reignite the spark! It has helped my husband and I reconnect so much more than we have. We love the challenges we do for each other. The date ideas help a lot when you can’t think of something. This app has spice up and help our marriage. Thank you. Also check out the chat Just Between Us. It keeps you personal texting messages away from sending only things you want your husband or partner to see. No accidental messaging of stuff you don’t want others to see. I sent over a dozen password reset requests and I’m not getting an email. Help. ### 1/5 — Glitched Premium Subscription *2025-01-11, version 1.0.96* The app is glitched when you go to sign up for premium. For the monthly and yearly options it offers a 3 day free trial. I tried activating the free trial for both the monthly and yearly subscription, and my iPhone Apple Store even confirmed that I was subscribed, but the app wouldn’t respond. I deleted and redownloaded the app, refreshed it a billion times, and even deleted my account and created a new one, but nothing worked. The app would not allow me to access any premium features. I don’t want to purchase the lifetime subscription until I know I like premium, so the free trial not working is a massive issue for me. Please fix it and get back to me. I want to like this app, and I want to use it. Any info spouse I and try to put in, try to complete any challenges or change the challenges doesn’t work. I sent in a help ticket and never heard back. We upgraded to the full app a few years ago, and it was worth it until now. (Only for straight couples, irrelevant for me personally but not the vibe I want.) And chat feature is a separate app, which is super annoying. But if your queer, there’s nothing for you here. If you’re an atheist, there’s a LOT of religious messaging. If you’re cool with porn, prepare to feel judged. If you’re not a middle class guy married to a tradwife, expect a lot of the recommendations to not fit your lifestyle (“meet your husband at the door in lingerie when he gets home from work” or “pick your husband up after a business trip wearing nothing but a trenchcoat”). ### 2/5 — Bait-and-Switch; Gatekeeping; belittling to people not in their religion *2022-08-13* Don’t get me wrong, there are good things about this app. I like that it’s not raunchy, and that it focuses on how important the actual relationship is in improving intimacy. At the beginning, I almost upgraded to the paid version. But I started noticing them gatekeeping in their articles…repeatedly… Over time I felt more and more alienated and downright disrespected. I sent them an email asking them to alter some of the language of their articles to make them more inclusive to non-Christians, and they responded enthusiastically thanking me… but instead of taking my advice they just published more articles implying even more strongly that Christian ideals were necessary in order for a relationship to be successful. I feel so disrespected and discriminated against. ### 2/5 — Safety options for those with betrayal trauma, past abuse, and past sexual addiction. *2021-11-18* Overall, the app is well done. However, I wish there was more opportunity within the app to customize games, sections, pictures, and advice for those with triggers and boundaries from betrayal trauma, past sexual abuse, and past sexual addiction. While triggers such as these get more manageable over time as couples get to a healthy place, the triggers and boundaries never completely “go away.” So a clean marriage app that focuses on the mind, body, and soul — such as Intimately Us!! — that also incorporates customizable options for the emotional safety of the couple would be THE DREAM! Things such as an option to turn off specific prompts within the games for one spouse who may have trauma from those specific actions but leaving it on for the other spouse instead of having to turn the option off completely……an option for turning off the fantasy sections within the app for those with past sexual addictions that want to completely avoid any potential avenue back into addiction……an option to turn off the pictures within the app of other couples being playful because, even though they are not inappropriate images, it may be uncomfortable or potentially triggering for a couple who is using the app to specifically grow their own intimacy on a mind, body, and soul level to see all these other couples……an option to turn off prompts, references, or advice about “self-pleasuring” for those with past trauma or addictions……an option to turn off certain positions that are triggering to abuse survivors or former sexual addicts……etcetera. There is a lot of useful information packed in here for Christian couples, and several resources for more related Christian resources as well.
