Especially important since it is at a vacation home and checking in on it in the winter and raising the temperature prior to heading there were the key functions I was looking for. It connects sporadically and the controls work on and off. Seems to happen when I need to change it. Disappointing since this was a $500 addition to the cost of the already pricy spa. ### 2/5 — Often down & very limited abilities *2026-05-11, version 2.13.4* 30-40% of the time the app is down and has to be reset. The features are much too limited. Cannot verify what time the spa is set to. Most functions can only be done from the spa aside from setting the temperature and filter and econo cycles. I don’t have this problem with any other app on my phone (so it’s not the strength of our signal). At the recommendation of our World of Spa representative, I deleted the app, rebooted our entire system, and reloaded the app. This made no difference. Very frustrating. ### 1/5 — Frustrating app and frustrating company *2026-03-07, version 2.13.4* I’ve had this since my spa was installed 5 years ago and it continues to decline. Setting temperature rarely sticks, setting “eco” times and filter run times is a neurotic and “will it? Won’t it?” experience, and worst of all there is no way to set the time manually because “the app will automatically sync the spa to your phones time”. After 5 years I will tell you it does not. I finally installed Home Assistant on a raspberry pi just to install the gecko/intouch plugin and it’s amazing. It’s responsive, it works, but it unfortunately also won’t let me set the time on the spa nor will it manage filter times. I have also had connectivity issues with the app, even though the wireless receivers are less than 10 ft away from each other (can’t run a direct Ethernet line for some reason?). I’m a network Admin so I’ve done everything right such as changing signal channels, etc — I’m convinced it’s a problem with this app, because home assistant has never had an issue connecting to the spa. ### 1/5 — Out of date *2026-02-05, version 2.13.4* The app doesn’t seem to work anymore after IPhone updates. Will this be something that will be updated? The app does not work eve with the network adapter placed within 10 feet of the spa. Why have I paid $14000 for a 9 year old deprecated system? I chose specifically the model I have with the transmitter so that I can manage the spa through the app on my iPhone. I am blind. We are in 2026. Apps are very easy things to develop, even teenagers make them. This company is unable to create an app with simplicity, access to all functions and even label the buttons properly so that blind users using voiceover or magnification features built into Apple devices can be independent and enjoy their spa. UI is unintuitive with icons that make no sense. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — It’s all about your WiFi *2025-09-05, version 2.13.1* I’ve had zero issues with this product since installing. It was easy to configure with my Aquaterra spa after opening up the side panel and plugging into a port on the controller board. I left the unit inside the spa cover and did not mount externally and it’s working great. The key is good WiFi. I have a mesh system and my spa happens to be very close to one of the mesh routers, although it is on the other side of a stucco wall. The app itself is not very intuitive, I wish they would make a mode that would force the hot tub to not come on at all for the times scheduled, 4-9pm for our utility company charging the highest rates. The economy mode does prevent the heater from coming on which is nice but the pump will still run on occasion during those scheduled hours. I’m still giving this 5 stars, I’ve turned my hot tub up while experiencing back pain at Costco and it was ready to use when I got home at the temp I set it to! ### 5/5 — Super easy setup, exactly what I needed *2025-03-31, version 2.10.6* This app works in combination with Gecko's in.touch 2 accessory modules. I wanted to have my spa heat itself while my solar panels are making electricity, and be able to preheat before I hop in. The app is very thoughtful and flexible, and it has worked perfectly so far. ### 5/5 — I fixed the problem *2025-01-16, version 2.10.6* I had nothing but problems getting this app working all the time. I discovered if you get connected (and sometimes you need to be well away from the spa) there is a way to change the communication channel to the spa. Hit settings and then in.touch network and there are all the channels. I use 15 and mine now works 99% of the time when I’m sitting in the spa.
