We found the itinerary was well organised, allowed for a degree of flexibility and our guides, Sean and Miguel, ensured our safety and well being was paramount. They were professional, knowledgeable and engaging with all persons on the tour. Our guide Rony was exceptional. His passion for and knowledge of the area, the wildlife, the culture and history was outstanding. As a local he was so proud of his State and people. The tour itself is brilliant and intrepid organise everything carefully and thoughtfully. Can’t fault them. The roads in Zimbabwe were challenging and, at times uncomfortable, but the safaris were totally worth it 😊 Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!! ### 5/5 — Broome to the Bungle Bungles *2026-06-15* Our guides, Dan & Heloisa, where just fabulous, they prepared wonderful meals, lead walking tours in very hot conditions, drive for hours and still managed to make it fun. The tour itself was very informative, getting to see parts of our beautiful country with Intrepid was truly special. Bucket list stuff. With other like minded travelers. Just WOW! ### 5/5 — Amazing trip *2026-06-10* Just completed the six day trip from Alice Springs Uluru etc. Absolutely incredible experience an amazing tour leader with David Anne Marie for the last two nights. ### 4/5 — Highlights of Turkey 7 day trip *2026-06-06* Theirs a lot packed in for the 7 days. One night at each place, cappidocia is 2 nights, each day is a travel day arriving around 530pm most days. We saw so much. Gallipoli , Ephersis, and cappidocia are very special places. Our guide Mehmet Ali (Mali) was fantastic. He looked after us 200% , he went above and beyond, gave recommendations for cafes, restaurants, showed us the best places to eat, joined us on most days. We could call him for anything, helped us when we had any problems or needs He is truly amazing ### 5/5 — Highlights of Sicily *2026-06-05* This is my first Intrepid tour, and I’m impressed. Our tour leader Amelie was great! At 28, she evinces tremendous maturity and works seamlessly to understand the individual needs of the group. We had 6 tour members, excluding Amelie. We easily bonded, which is fortunate. Yet Amelie’s friendliness and passion for the area’s history also enhanced bonding. Absolutely happy to recommend this experience to anyone. Our group was all ages and genders but still we had the best time together and made lifelong friends. Well done Intrepid until next time! App cancelled trip and won’t refund *2026-08-20* I booked a $2,000 tour in Greece, only to be denied entry/service. They promised in writing that my money would be fully refunded within two weeks. It has now been almost a month. I have spent weeks chasing customer support with endless follow-ups, and I have received nothing but runarounds and still no refund. Taking $2,000 and refusing to return it after failing to provide the service is unacceptable. Do not trust them with your money. ### 1/5 — App Not Working Properly *2026-05-08* Tried to book a trip via the app but the page to insert payment info would not load. Also had similar issues on their website. When using the chat feature the app does not keep previous conversations. Which means I had to repeat and enter a lot of the same information numerous times. It has the right pieces, but they don’t work together. It can’t pull your trip info from your intrepid account but then most of the intrepid trips aren’t listed in the catalogue so you can’t even manually add them. Nick and Nuria took great care of the group, and Ed was a wealth of info about the local culture and area. We also appreciated all the history from Pat. As a slower person, I appreciated that I never felt like I was holding the group back. Our Intrepid guide Bradley was the best. His tips on the Denali and Seward tours led to awesome wildlife sightings and his recommendations for eating establishments were also spot on. She led our group very well. ### 5/5 — One of our best trips ever - Croatia, Montenegro and Albania 😃 *2026-08-15* We have just had a BEST experience on our first Intrepid tour. We have done lots of travelling over the years and Intrepid was recommended to us for the quality of their Balkan tours. We are so glad we joined this tour. Our tour leader, Ivan, was absolutely amazing - everything was so well organised and he is a delightful person. Nothing was too much trouble. Our driver, Jolande, was incredible on some of those winding roads and we always felt safe with him driving us despite some of the craziness of other motorists 😉😉. He also provided really interesting insights regarding history and society which enriched our experience. The local guides were excellent and the itinerary and activities were well thought out and paced. Hotels were really good. As for the tour itself, Gjirokaster was a stand out as was our beach stay but, honestly, we enjoyed everything. Thank you so much for organising such a great trip and congratulations on getting such a great team together. We loved it. 🥰 ### 5/5 — Intrepid Trip to Yosemite with Hannah as a Guide *2026-08-07* In short, Hannah is a spectacular guide! Yosemite is clearly a magical place and I’m glad I got to experience it this summer! In more detail, Hannah is a very responsible guide who also really understands a sense of adventure. She really welcomed the group well and we all felt comfortable and safe right away. That didn’t change. She was great about updating us about the trip so we felt sure and informed. Her stories about the Miwok and beauty of Yosemite were fun to listen to along the way. There wasn’t a day that we weren’t inspired to explore. A lot of us are teachers who were on summer break and were very happy to learn from Hannah. As someone who has taught environmental education in California for over 10 years I was really stoked to be learning even more every day. Unfortunately we had a difficult member in the group who wasn’t taking responsibility for regulating themselves or more wise choices. The rest of the group felt relieved because Hannah handled these tricky situations gracefully while guiding her to take safer choices. Basically Hannah calmly redirected these situations from jeopardizing the trip. The unnamed group member was frequently wandering, late, and not stepping back when proving unfit for the hikes. It was relieving to know Hannah could guide her to safety when the person was not taking responsibility for themself. Despite that tricky challenge the rest of the team was able to pursue their adventures appropriately while in awe of Yosemite. What a very impressive experience! I hope to go on another Intrepid adventure in the future. I’m grateful for the memories and the friends I made along the way. Hrvoje was a fantastic tour guide, easy going, knowledgeable and a very proud countryman.
