Incredibly Naive & Severely Lacking

10 Oct 2025: it is sufficient to say that this inventory manager is a very naive implementation lacking in so many things that it borders on worthless. Here are things that are missing:

1. No Item Photos
2. No purchase info
3. No serial or registration numbers
4. No manufacturer info
5. No location of an item
6. No inheritance designee
7. No item condition info
8. No current value as opposed to purchase price

Yada, yada, yada. All in all, this app is in a state of dysfunctional infancy and it provides very little info that is usable in legal situations. That might be OK for some; but, it is not a well thought out design and developed app.

21 Jan 2026: The developer has been kind enough to reply and acknowledges this app as being a work in progress. All of the previous MIAs written above though are critical features that need to be incorporated into the app. I’d like to give it a chance; but, cannot afford having to go back to add data into previously catalogued items with each update. Coming from my 40+ years of IT experience, this project could have benefited from a very serious Use Case examination to guide defelopment prior to launching the app on the App Store. That said, I wish the developer all the luck with updates.

Response from developer

Thank you for updating your review and giving the app another look. To address your main concern directly: you will never need to re-enter data after an update. All new fields are strictly additive and optional — items catalogued in any previous version load unchanged, and you can enrich them with new fields only if and when you want to. Regarding your original list, version 1.1 covers photos, purchase info, serial/model numbers, manufacturer, location, condition, and current vs. purchase value. An inheritance designee field is planned for the next update. Thank you for the detailed feedback — it's genuinely shaping the roadmap.

Response from developer

Thank you for your detailed feedback. I appreciate you taking the time to outline specific missing features. Inventarium is a young app and still actively under development. Your review has been incredibly valuable in identifying areas for improvement, and I'm happy to let you know that version 1.1 now includes: - Item photos (up to 10 per item) - Purchase information (date, price, store, warranty) - Serial and model numbers - Manufacturer details - Item location tracking - Condition assessment - Current value tracking with purchase price comparison - Enhanced statistics across all these dimensions The app now provides much more comprehensive documentation suitable for insurance and legal purposes, while maintaining its offline-first approach and simplicity. I'm committed to continuously improving Inventarium based on user feedback. If you have additional suggestions after trying the updated version, I'd be glad to hear them. All existing data remains fully compatible with the new version. Thank you again for helping make this app better.
