## What is Inventory?

Keep track of your games and have them with you all the time using this app!

The app "Inventory: Game Collection" allows you to keep track of the games you own. You can filter by platforms or status and create tags to further organise your collection. An import function makes transition from other solutions or spreadsheets easy.

To make your games really stand out, "Inventory" has a sleek, non-intrusive design while offering essential features. When making it, I aimed for an experience that makes it fun to look at your collection and presents your games in a beautiful way.

Adding your games is really easy, just use the search-feature and "Inventory" pre-fills information like the game's release date and cover image. Of course it's also possible to customise any information and add your own cover image.
You can also do a bulk import of many games, using a CSV-file. If you already have cover images for your games, you can import them as well. This makes it easy for you to transition to this app from another solution or a spreadsheet you may already have.

I want you to be in control of your data and not be locked-in with this app. That's why you can easily make a full backup of all your games to a simple spreadsheet, including cover images! If at any time you would rather switch to another solution, or want to make a backup of your data, just export it!

All your games are synchronized to iCloud, so you can use the app across devices as well.

FEATURES
- Simple, sleek design. Looks nice in dark-mode and light-mode.
- Two ways of looking at your collection: in a list (more information) and as tiles (bigger covers).
- Search the internet when adding new games and pre-fill information.
- Organise your collection by platforms, status or tags.
- Add "moments" with cool screenshots you took or to note down your thoughts on a game.
- Look back at previous years with the Rewind-feature and decide your game of the year!
- Add metadata for the region of a game: Important for collectors!
- Import lots of games through a CSV-file.
- Stay in control of your data with the export-feature.
- Use across devices with full iCloud sync.

I plan to further improve the app and add more features. Please tell me any feedback or wishes you have and I'll try to include them. You can contact me via the app.

PRICING
The app is free and offers all features for adding up to five games. If you like the app, I'd appreciate if you would support development and server-costs by buying any of the included in-app purchases - you can choose yourself how much you want to pay. Any of them unlocks adding unlimited games.

Please note that all of the game covers shown in the screenshots above are merely to demonstrate the functionality of the app and all trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners.

### 5/5 — LOVE. THIS. APP.

*2025-08-22, version 0.9.5*

The developer put a lot of effort into this app, and it shows!! The function of being able to import game info directly from online is so helpful. The fact that there’s no ads is so incredibly generous. The UI is intuitive and VERY easy to use. Can’t say enough good things :)

### 5/5 — Works great! The delete function though….

*2024-02-27, version 0.9.0*

This app is great, works well and I don’t have any trouble finding my games, I also like that you can kinda manipulate the data for a game so it’s lumped in with one type of console (for instance, saying all of my ps4 games are ps5 games so they will be grouped with the ps5 stuff), but the delete button just going away and not actually deleting the item leaving you unsure if it actually worked or if you should do it again…

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2024-01-04, version 0.8.7*

Amazing app I love it but the delete buttons never function and always just close the delete menu without deleting the item and I would love if there was an option where you could add where you got the game from and sort your list by that (example sort games to show games you got from steam in the pc category) that’s pretty much all the suggestions that I have

### 4/5 — Randomize option

*2023-04-06*

It would be good if you put an Randomizer option from a list

**Developer response:** Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I guess you mean a feature that randomly suggests a game to play? I’ll look into it!

### 4/5 — Love the app, but would love to have some extras

*2022-03-26*

Today my boyfriend and I spent HOURS searching for a great app to log our game collections and sort them by completion status. This app by far looks the best and I love how many platforms are available. I only wish there were sections for games like “abandoned” or “open-ended” for those like Animal Crossing or Super Mario Maker 2 where the game never really ends, but you may be finished with it.

Also, a notes section in the game entries would be great so you could mark down thoughts or if you own a game complication you could put down what games you have beat on the game.

Love the great work! Thank you!

**Developer response:** Thanks for your rating & review, glad you like the app! :)
Yeah, I was also thinking how to handle open ended games. You can actually hide them from your backlog (long-tap on the game)!
Adding notes shouldn’t be an issue, I’ll look into it!

### 1/5 — Game only add five game before you need to pay

*2021-10-16*

It’s not a free app and waits until you add five games before a message pops up saying you need to buy the ability to add more games.

**Developer response:** That’s correct and clearly written in the app’s description. I’d like to give everybody the chance to try the app for free instead of having to pay for it upfront, which is why I went with this approach.

### 4/5 — Underrated

*2021-08-24, version 0.5.7*

A lot of other apps require you to pay per month and have absurd numbers of preset folders. This app has all the functionality you want (tags for each platform, backlog and wish list folders, auto-fill for game info), but it’s laid out much more cleanly. Needs Atari 2600 though, or a way to add and remove platforms

### 4/5 — Amazing App

*2021-04-27*

First off - this app is exactly what I’ve been looking for for eons. It looks great and shows the info I want. My only complains are minor and would boost this to five stars. First - there needs to be a way to add multiple titles at once. Adding a large collection by hand is a pain. Second add support for iPad and MacOS. That would make this app even better if I can use it on every device I own and made specifically for said device. Finally - add in the ability to price your collection. Those are the only things keeping it from a solid 5 star in my book.

**Developer response:** Update 8/29: You can now import games from a CSV-file!

Original answer: Hey! Thank you so much for your review and suggestions! Actually, two of your suggestions are already on my roadmap. I want to release an easy-to-use bulk import of games to make it easier to switch from other solutions or an Excel-table. And after that, port the app to iPad/Mac and make use of the bigger screen estate and native features.
Please look forward to the next updates! :)

### 5/5 — Finally a way to database my games

*2021-03-31, version 0.5.5*

I looked for a long time about the possibility to get all my games sorted. This one is by far the simplest solution I could find. Great visualization! Looking forward to future feature updates.

### 5/5 — Super App

*2021-03-31, version 0.5.5*

Endlich kann ich alle meine Spiele inventarisieren.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.9.6 — 2026-01-01

Happy New Year everybody!

I updated the app to Apple's new Liquid Glass design.
Also, you can now see new features announced within the app, as well as look back at all previous releases.

Please note that from this version on, the app requires iOS 26. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thanks for using my app and I hope you have a good start into the new year!

### 0.9.5 — 2025-05-17

Big new update!

- You can now see the time to complete a game!
To do so, please link the game to the external service through the edit-screen. Newly added games are automatically linked. You can also sort your collection by playtime to find a short game for the weekend or the next big adventure to enjoy over months. Play time is kept up-to-date automatically.
- Release dates are now automatically updated when there is a change. You can turn this feature off or activate it only for upcoming games (the default), to never miss the release of a game you are looking forward to.
- The iPhone list view now shows information according to the attribute you sorted by - for example play time!
