Easy to use and looks good. UX better than many other similar systems. Minor gripes include the limited amount of transfer in options, a few missing funds that I would like to have bought and the odd occasion when I couldn’t log in on my phone as it was telling me to approve in the app (on the phone I was trying to log on with!). This last one only happened a few times and in the early days. Been fine for many months. Would recommend (and have done) especially to those who want to keep it fairly simple. ### 2/5 — Overly complicated *2026-08-11, version 6.16.0* Almost completely unintuitive structure ### 2/5 — Sipp transfer *2026-08-11, version 6.16.0* My sipp transfer cash has left my investengine account a week ago but hasnt arrived in the destination platform I have had no explanation whatsoever from investengine and they have not replied to my emails You need to provide live chat and customer tel number for these urgent occasions to save people being worried days on end Very unhappy ### 2/5 — App ok but customer service poor *2026-08-08, version 6.16.0* App works ok for me, though not keen on only being able to trade once a day. Worst thing is no replies from customer service and even an ISA transfer in seems to not be actioned for weeks and only then after chasing - but still no email response. Surely you can do better than this… ### 2/5 — Takes forever to do anything *2026-08-04* I have just setup an account yesterday and put in a deposit which left my bank instantly, the app requires you to build a custom investment pie which I did and gave the order to invest the pending money, I understand the rules and cut off time but I was within them , my payment cleared but waited all do for the investment order to go through and no success, I have now given up and have requested to withdraw my money with I’m hoping doesn’t take too long. I really like the concept of just holding ETF’s so your not tempted to make silly gambles and also like how you can setup a direct debit through the app but I guess this 1 isn’t for me. ### 2/5 — Customer service non existent *2026-07-20, version 6.14.0* Good platform, really let down by ultra slow customer support. 2-3 days easily for a reply and no alternative to this such as phone. ### 3/5 — Can’t clear privacy notice *2026-06-22, version 6.11.1* Good app and platform. Been using for a few years with no issues, but in last week or so every time I login a privacy notice pops up and whatever option I choose it says error on your end and won’t save my preferences. Please fix! ### 3/5 — Hard to add cash *2026-06-01, version 6.10.1* Apps a bit clunky, but the open banking link is a pain. Didn't work with HSBC, goes down some non existent QR code route, and manual transfer doesn't show you account/sort code to pay into just forces you back into open banking. Unlikely to stay unless maker it easier to invest ### 3/5 — Excellent app, but poor service and atrocious login experience *2026-05-31* One of the easiest and cheapest ways to invest in ETFs, app layout and features are great and they do an excellent job at balancing flexibility without exceeding jargon. Unfortunately, the UX is made much worse for the atrocious design of their mandatory 2FA and poor support around it. Their 2FA texts and emails have a habit of not arriving on certain days, and they have strict lockout rules, meaning you are quite likely to lock yourself out of your account for a few days at a time before human support fixes it for you over email. ### 1/5 — Really slow withdrawals *2026-05-14* Selling is REALLY slow, sell requests complete at the end of the day but then there’s a two wait before you can submit a withdrawal request and then 2 days to actually get the money, ….what? Why? Ok this would be fine if there weren’t plenty of other brokers offering fee free investing, but come on, nearly a week after submitting a sell request to actually get the money is 2026 is crazy. Compare this with trading212 instant sell, buy, transfer and withdraw all fee free, you’d be crazy to not use this instead. Would not recommend using for this reason. ### 1/5 — Poor example of an app *2026-05-12, version 6.9.1* Limited functions and not very informative app. Says you can not buy more than one IsA from the company, so had to go elsewhere, only to find this statement from this app not to be true. I think the apps designed poorly and is not supported much ### 2/5 — Good platform but poor customer support. *2026-05-11, version 6.9.1* The platform is good and UI UX are nice. But support is useless, they don’t reply to the requests at all. They completely ignored my emails and requests via the online form. There is no live support chat either. So if you have any trouble you are on your own. ### 1/5 — No Aggregated Performance History *2026-05-06, version 6.9.0* App is missing a vital feature: Aggregated Performance History. The app needs a 'Total Balance' graph that tracks growth across ALL portfolios combined (ex. ISA, GIA of different investment growth risks) over 1W, 1M, and 1Y periods. Currently, you can only see this data for individual profile, which makes tracking total net worth and % difficult. Please kindly add this! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The money are disappeared *2026-08-06, version 6.15.1* I transferred from my previous Aviva account to here and the pension never arrived. Aviva showed me that the transfer was sent successfully and InvestEngine said that they never received and they don’t show me proofs of contact to Aviva pension.This app is a big scam! Stay away from here! I’m proceeding with a lawyer to find out what happened . They destroyed my life ### 1/5 — No iPad app. Bad 2fa flow *2026-07-19, version 6.14.0* The platform that first this the best is the iPad but shame there is none available for this product. Don’t vibe code 2fa flow. it has way too many bugs. Jesus it’s fintech app not a personal project. ### 1/5 — Failed login back after last update *2026-07-17, version 6.14.0* Email to report over 24 hours, one auto email reply only as far. What am I supposed to do? ### 1/5 — Broken updates *2026-07-15, version 6.14.0* Randomly out of the blue the app is failing to login and restricts access to your account and money for no reasons. It send a verification notification to the same device it is launched on and forgets to login and now stuck in a cycle of login. It would be ideal for the developers to test their updates before implementing them as they are restricting access to funds for no reasons for paying customers. À simple apology is insufficient. Utter nonsense. ### 1/5 — Constant errors *2026-06-30* New error with tracking cookies, unable to select what I want to allow. Only option is accept all or bomb out and upset app ( I am not going to accept all tracking). Please sort this out. Generally good, but Please sort out endless login issues, which continue to get worse. Really frustrating! Could do with additional money market options as no interest paid. Would be better if not limited to trading once in a day, and being able to charge/cancel an individual trade without cancelling everything scheduled. Better information on gains/losses on total account and on individual sipp & isa portfolios. ### 1/5 — No customer support *2026-06-26, version 6.11.1* I’ve been using InvestEngine for years and always found it great - even recommending to friends - however I’m genuinely concerned about holding wealth with them after trying to withdraw money. It’s been 3 weeks and the money hasn’t been withdrawn, I’ve raised multiple support requests non of which have had any reply in over 2 weeks. Avoid ### 1/5 — Can’t be trusted with my money. Non existent support *2026-06-15, version 6.11.1* I would stay WELL away had I known what I know now. I’d give negative starts if I could!!! The app is fine but it is not possible to get in contact with support if you need any. I have been waiting for several weeks having tried chats and emails and so far have gotten one response with not actually replying to my question. The lack of responsiveness makes me question trustworthiness of a business that holds my money. The moment I can, I will move all of my money out (if they ever goddamn respond to my numerous attempts to communicate) ### 1/5 — Do better *2026-06-13, version 6.11.1* Logging in always a pain. Constantly asks if I want face id but never updates it to actually include it. I was denied access yesterday as the code to access wasn’t received. No apparent support for this. ### 1/5 — Lost money due to a bug *2026-06-09, version 6.11.1* I tried selling my ETFs and kept getting an error. Once that error was finally resolved and I could finally sell the ETF it had crashed by 20% and I’d lost my investment. I understand investments go up and down and capital is always at risk.
