Main reason I have this app is to read on the tube, but it requires internet access to read articles. There’s a download button for issues but downloads disappear as soon as you close the app. This does not happen with the economist app.

I subscribed to the IC because of ST tips, however these have been very poor investments resulting in me losing a fortune

Not sure why this is so difficult for content producers. The content is great but…… if you want to read the magazine on a plane or train you are out of luck. Whilst it gives you the ability to download for offline reading, if you go offline it still wants to check your subscription. If you somehow get passed this it’s downloaded the text but no images. The images try to load by connecting to the internet but if offline makes it incredibly slow and flakey. It can’t be that difficult so please fix.
