I went to see the details of the company, particularly the news of the day regarding Microsoft, P&G, etcetera. However, I was met with a paywall. I had no access to any of the information I used before to trade my stocks and frankly, it made the app a turn off for me. I sold everything I had and will be withdrawing my money. The learning aspects of this app are wonderful, but after teaching us to think, use the information given to us and to pay attention to the market, they took away the tools in their app that we used while they already get to invest our money elsewhere as well. Also had a long term issue with being able to withdraw from the account; took three weeks to get any money out of there. Those two things sullied my otherwise un-bothered experience. **Developer response:** Dear customer. You can play, learn, interact and practice on Fantasy Finance and still see the basic graphs of any instrument you have on your watchlist. Our subscriptions are varied and affordable for those who want to take things further (for just $3.99 a month or 13 cents a day). I can’t even get through 2 without it saying I haven’t completed the prerequisites, or that I don’t have a good internet connection (even though it’s full strength signal). I have to delete the app and re login multiple times a day. I am about to just give up on this app. ### 5/5 — Great App! *2022-04-21, version 6.0.2* People use this app for a lot of different reasons and both fantasy invest as well as real life. I was initially roped into a league by a friend who has long since lost interest, but am in a few other leagues with strangers. I stuck around because the community is great. The founders are very involved and users are willing to generously share their knowledge and experience with investing. I personally don’t have a lot of time to put into investing, but I think it’s a great platform if you would like to get some low risk experience before becoming a real life day trader or swing trader. Then I found out that I mistakenly funded an account with Crypto. Update: Made a deposit and it took the deposit out. This morning I had 8 transactions of them trying to take more out. Got a email from support saying my account is over drawn and I need to pay it back…. So dropped down to 2 stars. ### 5/5 — I’ve learned more with Invstr than anywhere else *2021-09-02, version 5.0.17* Title says it all- experience is the best teacher, and Invstr has that and more. Not only do I get a feel for the market before investing my own money, but I used the Academy to go from basically knowing nothing about the market to fully understanding the drivers behind stock prices. I have learned more from investing from this app, and the fact that you can win real money is just crazy. ### 3/5 — Great, but a few problems *2021-02-28, version 4.1.5* I’ve been really wanting to get started investing so I got this app to teach me stuff I don’t already know and to let me experience what it’s like. At first the game was really fun but 1 or 2 day after it was really buggy because once it turns night it never turns day so I can’t do anything and before this bug it takes forever to turn day. So then the game just gets boring and boring. I like the concept but try fixing the bugs and I’ll enjoy it more. ### 2/5 — Issues with their investment UI and 3rd party broker DriveWealth *2021-02-05, version 4.1.5* This app is fun for fantasy investment but I recommend any other brokerage app when you are ready to actually invest. I was sent two separate emails stating $260 dollars was deposited in my account which made sense since I attempted to buy multiple stocks the same day for the same price. It took 3 days to process and was notified I had $490 in the app. Bought stocks, and hours later my stocks were sold and I was told I can no longer have access to my money for 90 days since the order never went through. I was still double charged the 13 dollars on my debit card regardless. The app is just is too buggy and confusing for real trading and scary to use actual money with when you have no idea if transactions go through or not. It has an excellent User Interface and makes it really easy to learn investing. There are also free trials of the premium features so you can access the academy and learn there too. Occasionally, you receive bonus trades so that as long as you are careful, you won’t run out of trades. This app helped me get into a field that seemed so difficult. Don’t be scared to give it a try! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-04-30* I saw a friend playing and thought that it looked like a pretty fun game. Asked my parents for months get the game just to se that I can’t login. I didn’t immediately give up though, I reset the game logged in at least 5 times even deleted the app and redownloaded it and nothing worked. But I still decided to keep it downloaded in case it starts working and then I realize that I can just ask my friend how he logged in… My friend tells me that the game doesn’t work any more and shows me. For fantasy Finance questions, please email info@invstr.com ### 1/5 — Terrible platform *2023-03-08* This app doesn’t let you send and recieve BtC or crypto. You have a wallet but it only will store the currency. If you recieve a reward; invstr+ will not give you what you earned from them for at least 10 days. Once recieved; the newly acquired reward can’t be removed or withdrawn for 30 days. Not to mention this platform will permit instant deposits; however, if you use the instant the deposit- the investment will be pending for at least 10 days. For example, they recieve the actual transfer and then don’t reward you until it “settles” 5 days later. What’s with you old timers and stock market trade rules..? Don’t y’all understand that life is 24/7 and finance needs to be also- that’s why crypto is going to take over the stock market. Eventually companies that offer “stocks” will develope a coin and get on with their lives keeping the government out of their financial pictures…. At around the 4th one, I failed the quiz initially but passed on the second try. Even with a passing score I’m unable to move onto the next module and it continually prompts me with an error saying that it’s unable to sync my progress. I tried deleting the app and logging back in to see if that would fix anything but now I can’t log in. When I try to log in with google oauth, it says that it’s unable to sign me in with Facebook even though I’m trying to sign in with google… **Developer response:** Hi Sam. Here's an update for you. I have NEVER seen one like this. You can’t just deposit funds. Even if you link your bank account. You have to go to the banks website and manually send funds to a routing and account number they provide. But websites need more information than this to send money. Name, address, etc. they don’t provide that information. I’m blown away by this deposit method. I won’t be using this app because I’m not able to add funds to it. I would say this is the most important feature of any investment app. How easy it is to add and withdraw funds. This app is the worst by strides and bounds. Unacceptable, really. Pick literally any other investment app. If the developers are reading this, you need to fix the deposit situation. **Developer response:** Hi Isaac. Thank you for your patience. ### 1/5 — They make it so u can’t cancel *2022-04-07, version 5.1.18* They automatically gave me one month free of the pro+ upgrade when I downloaded the app. It will be 3.99 after. You can’t cancel thru the app, you need to call. When you call u get a recording that says to press 1 to leave a message about why you’re calling and they’ll call you back. Except when u press one it just plays the same message over again. There’s no way to cancel 😡 ### 1/5 — Buggy, Unusable App *2022-03-02, version 5.1.17* Signed up and it said I was approved, but it froze when I tried to connect via Plaid. Now when I open the app, it takes me to a blank screen that says “Label” and has a blue button at the bottom. When I click it, it takes me back to Plaid and shows my checking account already connected. If I try to use the back arrow, it takes me to a totally blank screen. ### 1/5 — Scammers *2021-12-02, version 5.1.9* Total scam! I always test a platform & risk $10. After receiving crypto bonus & trading Btc into profit, I attempted to withdraw to my expectations unfortunately unable to withdraw also Invstr debit card has been frozen, says they’ve hit a snag in their system. That’s says it all. You can keep the money. Its like I paid for a debit card that I will never use. USE COINBASE/ROBINHOOD 😎…Adding 🗑 Trash to updated review link..reinstalled now can’t log in..go figure…LOL pretty sure someone will sue who’s dumb enough to put money of any amount after such shady antics. 😎🤝 ### 1/5 — Stole my money *2020-06-07, version 4.0.6* I’d show you the image confirmation, where I withdrew $3k from the investing part of the app on May 28th. That was after, waiting nearly 4 days for it to settle. If you ask Invstr app about it, any users know the response. “Ask Drive Wealth”, then why might I ask do you facilitate them, without a legitimate response for their operations? I hope I get my money, I don’t wanna have to go SEC. I just have other things I need to be doing right now, I want my money Invstr/Drive Wealth. This better not be some kind of Black disenfranchising operation. ### 1/5 — I paid for the subscription and it still didn’t work *2019-02-13, version 3.4.9* So i decided i wanted more functionality out of the app and paid for the subscription only for it to say error, so i tried again and then it said it went through on apple but in the app it still says error, i have none of the premium features offered and my card was charged not once but twice awesome!! A total waste of six dollars; never has an app infuriated me and totally ripped me off more. The stock symbols should be shown. If the symbols are on the site, they are well hidden. Doesn’t appear you can search by symbol. Doesn’t have that many investments to choose from. It’s not clear whether you must sign up with your real name or whether a user nickname will be shown. It turns out, your real name is shown (bad privacy practice).
