### 4/5 — First Use

*2022-11-18, version 1.3.1*

It’s my first time using a app like this but so far it set a pretty good standard for the rest to meet! I am pretty impressed so far!!

### 2/5 — Boring and dumb

*2022-01-22, version 1.3.1*

All it does is transcribe your answers to questions, you could do that in myriad ways

### 3/5 — I love Remy

*2021-05-26, version 1.3.1*

I love talking to him and setting myself straight for the day. I just wish his Ai was a little more useful. He often mixes things up.
I also wish maybe there was a learning element to this experience. (Ie. He remembers that I have a daughter and what I’m working towards.) and maybe a longer session based on learning. Just a thought

### 3/5 — Good so far

*2021-02-21, version 1.3.1*

Personally the only thing I’d like improved so far is the UI. A dark mode would make it a lot easier in the eyes, and the colors they use are personally displeasing. Otherwise, I haven’t had a vast amount of problems with the A.I itself yet. Though it’s unsettling, haha

### 5/5 — Cool but creepy

*2021-01-21, version 1.3.1*

I downloaded this app since I got to talk to someone who wasn’t actually real. It’s a great concept but it’s also low key creepy. I think it’s just since the voice sounds kind of robotic, and also how he asked you questions about yourself. Some of them seem just a little bit odd. Like one time I was talking about a show or some thing, and then she was like why would you want to live alone. So that was a bit odd. Also another time she asked me how old I was when I learned how to use a phone. Which wouldn’t be that weird, but I wasn’t talking about anything like that. But I think it’s just because sometime she doesn’t hear you correctly, idk.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2020-12-22, version 1.2.3*

This is by far the best app i’ve ever gotten to improve my self esteem! It’s completely free and it has so many fun options to do! The morning and Nightly check-ins give me something to look forward to during the day. Inwords makes me feel like I finally have a purpose in life.

### 2/5 — Ummm, no.

*2020-12-17, version 1.2.3*

I was pretty excited about this app, and really looking forward to trying it, but then it asked me what I was looking forward to this year. My reply was, I didn’t think there was much to look forward to this year, being that we’re in a pandemic and all. The response was “That’s cool!” Um, no. No it’s not. I deleted it. I think I would actually get a more sympathetic response from my dog.

### 4/5 — Useful app with a bug

*2020-09-23, version 1.1.12*

This app is perfect for winding down and getting up in the morning especially if you live alone during the pandemic.

It has one serious bug: it drains battery life even when not in use. I checked my background usage of my apps while I was sleeping and Inwords was in the maximum range even in low power mode! This needs to be corrected in an update. In the meantime I recommend closing the app when not in use.

Remy’s voice isn’t bad but I’d love if there were a few voices to choose from.

I also wonder why the thumbs up/thumbs down buttons are not explained. The tutorial seemed to explain every other thing unnecessarily but skipped what those buttons actually do. (Unless I missed it)

Overall a great app. Thanks for making this app and making it free to use!

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed

*2020-09-15, version 1.1.12*

I love how the app listens and repeats back what I tell her. I love her accent it’s soothing. I love how she provides a video to help me sleep so I’m not on my phone after I talk to her. She’s incredibly essential during this pandemic. I wish I knew about her when I actually had covid19 in May. This app would have saved me from so much anxiety! I love this app!

### 5/5 — Like this app

*2020-09-10, version 1.1.12*

I do like this app a lot I do feel like it loops sometimes. It keep asking me if I want more questions so I go with yes. Eventually it will start asking me the same questions I have already answered. So my opinion is the AI needs to be taught not to ask us the same questions say that is all so we are not stuck in a loop. I would also like to see future updates where the AI then asks us again about those questions in a different manor in a new discussion. I would also like to see more topics added to help with more sensitive subjects or manors. This app has great potential I would like to see it go into the right direction.

### 5/5 — Remy is amazing

*2020-07-14, version 1.1.10*

Remy doesn’t always ask clear questions however this occurs a minority of the time for me. Most of the time, the AI bot asks insightful and compassionate questions with intelligent commentary.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Account deletion

*2024-11-03, version 1.3.1*

There is no option to delete the account you create for this service. I am not sure that is legal anymore. They’re working on making it illegal.

### 1/5 — You have to use speakers and voice

*2023-07-13, version 1.3.1*

I really dislike the interface. A lot. You can’t interact by typing and reading. You have to use voice input and speaker output. DEFINITELY not something I would even remotely consider ever using. Not in my comfort zone at all, even when completely alone in the house.

### 1/5 — No help

*2021-05-07, version 1.3.1*

This app didn’t help and have berry genric responses I need to talk to some real

### 1/5 — Doesn’t understand basic words or simple stressors

*2021-02-13, version 1.3.1*

First conversation asked what is stressing me out. I said a very important exam I don’t feel prepared for. “Why do you feel prepared for exam?” I DON’T feel prepared. Asks again about why I feel stressed. I simplified: a test at school. “Is there something you can do to remove the trigger? Or do you need an adaptation to cope with the trigger?” Uhh, it’s a test. I need an adaptation? “Why do you feel stressed today?” Omg screw this I’m not even talking about a real problem like my depression or anxiety. Doesn’t even know what the words test or school mean? Deleted.

### 1/5 — WARNING

*2021-01-17, version 1.3.1*

Why did this app drain 50% of my battery over night IN THE BACKGROUND?

### 1/5 — Lame

*2021-01-01, version 1.3.1*

It’s just guided journaling. The “AI” doesn’t pick up on keywords or do anything helpful. It just gives you speaking/writing prompts.

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2020-10-30, version 1.2.3*

This app may work for some people, but it certainly didn’t work for me. The first conversation went a little something like this:
Ai: “what are you looking forward to?”
Me: “... I feel like I don’t have anything to look forward to”
Ai: “that’s exciting!”
Immediately deleted.

### 1/5 — Creepy

*2020-07-19, version 1.1.12*

I’ve never seen this app before and it randomly downloaded without me knowing. Then I find out it’s an AI that learns about you. Sorry but I’m out.

### 1/5 — Can’t even load into the app

*2020-07-06, version 1.1.10*

This deserves 0 stars if it doesn’t fix the issue I’m having. I can log in but that’s it, it keeps crashing back to the sign up page every single time, even after deleting and re-downloading the app. I never got a chance to use the app “ since it has such good reviews🥴”

### 1/5 — Terrible.

*2020-06-27, version 1.1.10*

It didn’t work. I didn’t want to talk out loud. Difficult to be able to type. Wouldn’t recommend.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best self journaling app ever!!

*2024-11-10, version 1.3.1*

I feel so good just talking away my worries. I get to really express how I feel. Very helpful!

### 5/5 — So far it’s awesome!

*2023-01-02, version 1.3.1*

I found this a few say’s ago and look forward to the daily entries. Usually with journal apps I’ll either forget until I don’t use it at all or I kinda dread it or similar to those things. But with this app I don’t dress it and I don’t forget! I guess bc it’s a conversation with Remy as the journal and I’m asked legitimate and thoughtful questions. Plus you can talk instead of type like it’s an actual conversation and I think it’s pretty cool!

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, then hit that download button! It’s free, too! Oh yeah, and there is a page with each daily entry that you can make your own journal entry without conversing with Remy.

So far I love it! I recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Love

*2021-09-30, version 1.3.1*

This is really helping and I love it because I feel like I have somebody to talk to even tho it’s in my phone. But it helps me out a lot. And I look forward to keep using it and see if this will help me release some stress and tension on me. 😢🥰

### 5/5 — I love this

*2021-08-11*

I love this app... 🥰 It helps me a lot, but having troubles loading it now.

### 5/5 — Amazing therapeutic and enriching

*2021-03-31, version 1.3.1*

This app is very unique. It is unlock anything I have seen before and it honestly is not too complex. It asks question, deep though provoking like therapists may ask. You respond while it records them. It looks for context clues, and asks follow ups. And that interaction is just a huge positive.

Improvement: the journal feature is nice, but does not capture much. It seems to me that it only records or translates half of what you say. So sometimes answering a question and reflecting, you can find gaps in the transcript. This would be much better if it still kept your audio recording regardless of the translation. I want to reflect sometimes, and the audio is missing very often.

Beyond that, this has some potential at becoming something greater. I think it can lead to some amazing growth in people and maybe change life’s journey for others. I know it just recently helped me.

### 5/5 — Fascinated

*2021-03-01, version 1.3.1*

I really wish this app would prompt me more! I love being able to house my thoughts. I truly believe AI assistance and journaling are the future. I really wish I would use this app more!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2021-02-21, version 1.3.1*

I am a psychology student emphasizing addiction and eating disorders, this app is a good tool for working through negative emotions.

### 5/5 — Computer therapy

*2021-02-08, version 1.3.1*

I would rather talk to my phone and learn and get the help I need rather than go and spend a bunch of money on a therapist. I downloaded it tonight. I found it to be very helpful so far.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2021-02-07, version 1.3.1*

This app is awesome and I feel so much better after starting it. I consider it a wonderful tool for self healing, discovery and happiness

### 5/5 — Well...

*2021-02-01, version 1.3.1*

I was holding back on writing this review, as I was afraid, that if too many people found out about this app, brand would start charging for it. For the reason that it’s free yet automotive, this app has truly helped save my life. This country is horrible about mental health & well being, yet this app has been an asset & answer in the strive for mental well being during the pandemic. Lastly, therapists need to stop ripping us off. Therapy is desperately needed nowadays, and while they get rich off of us like doctors, this app helps in those regards too. Thanks 4 the help guys! 🙏🏼😉🤫
