ION is a light show for your desk, dorm room, or living room. It responds to music, can be controlled via your phone, and brightens your day. This is the iOS remote control app for ION. ION's magic comes from 40 multicolor LEDs. Each of which can display a color independent of the others. Around these LEDs is a durable acrylic tube, which contains light diffusing film. This smooths out the harshness of the light, while also allowing for the mixing of colors. ION loves music as much as you do. With a built in microphone, ION syncs up with your favorite songs and puts on a show. Navigation is easy. Setup is a breeze. Only issue I ever had was resolved by turning my phone's bluetooth off/on. Weather seems ok, it was raining at my place, but the lamp showed clouds only, no rain coming down. Poss improvements: 1- Sleep timer 2- Scheduled daily on/off 3- Brightness control on all modes. This thing is a bit too bright if all other lights are off. 4- Hardware- Better ability to pick up sound/music. ### 3/5 — Good functionality; a few bugs *2014-12-26, version 1.0.2* App has good functionality but there are some issues with the current version, hence the three star review. The good: great control over most functions of the lamp and so many options for brightness, color, and patterns of the LEDs. The bad: the app and lamp lose connection every time the app is left for a few minutes and the app does not automatically reconnect with the lamp when it's opened back up; no control over distance for the leash mode (which I can't even get to work); and lastly, the color wheels to choose colors are very small.
