### 4/5 — Have no problem

*2026-06-29, version 2.43.1*

The only thing I would like to see change is buying chemicals from you there should be an option where it says I’m using my own chemicals and stop with these your out of stock it’s time to re-order you should have the option of using somebody else’s chemicals or their chemicals for the price you’re paying for this unit it shouldn’t be a one-sided thing that’s the only grip that I have

### 4/5 — Loving it so far.

*2023-06-13, version 2.30.2*

So far we are loving it, wish it had a little more information in the boxing and wish they cross referenced other chemical brands. Other than that it’s been working good for us.

### 4/5 — Eco disconnected from gateway

*2023-02-14, version 2.28.1*

Once eco sensor acquired by someone’s account it can’t be transferred to another. Eco sensor disconnected on its own from gateway being 5 feet away apart. Gateway only connects using Wi-Fi though has PoE power. Way to improve the product. No phone customer support

### 4/5 — Great Device and App, but…

*2022-07-04, version 2.22.1*

The device works as advertised and the app keeps up with the data well, but there are a couple of improvements needed to match the pHin app. The first one is to accept other brand name chemicals into inventory and use those chemicals when giving the recommendations for treatment. The other one is to be able to edit pool size and pump flow to calculate hours of filtration needed. I put in the wrong info and now it gives me the wrong amount of filtration time. Overall, very pleased. Would recommend the whole system - monitor device, bridge device and app.

### 5/5 — Awesome company and great support

*2021-12-30, version 2.16.0*

I came across iopool as a user of another competing product- which was shut down with 1-week notice. Iopool has quickly updated their app to work with the discontinued sensors from the competing product to save money and time for users who were left without any cost effective alternatives.

The app works great with all sensors and no recurring or subscription based charges- but requires semi regular test strips (they all seem to, to some extent).

The app just works with great support and smooth workflows.

Highly recommend for any water testing needs.

### 1/5 — Warning Do not buy: EOL/Defunct

*2026-07-05, version 2.43.1*

They introduced some bug with sensor Bluetooth. No software updates in a year. Defunct company. Support nice but helpless. Do not buy.

### 1/5 — Scam, and Chyna data collection

*2025-05-16, version 2.38.2*

The app is useless. As a calculator it only tells you that your water chemistry is either ok or not.
When trying to delete my account, there is no option.
I am being bombarded with email solicitations from iopool.
The app is a Chyna data collection app. Even if I manage to get them to delete my account, they still retain my information. This is stated.
Beware this app.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-09-16, version 2.35.2*

Have two of them (one for pool and one for spa). Readings are nowhere close to accurate. I routinely compare to test strips and they are way way off. IOPool units indicate ph is low (one read a ph of 4) when ph is actually HIGH according to two different brands of test strips and multiple strips. Chlorine levels in IOPool are borderline low but both test strips show total and free chlorine levels off the charts high. I’ve been using them for months, calibrated them multiple times with their incredibly overpriced manual test strips (which doesn’t seem to really do anything) and the units are almost never accurate. Oh and the app demands manual analysis with their test strips pretty much constantly - the day after I do a manual test, it wants another, which is convenient when you’re selling overprice test strips. Relying on them is a recipe for messed up chem levels. I’ve had it and tomorrow I call support and demand some type of resolution. I would never recommend this product to anyone. Expensive junk that will rapidly get you into trouble if you trust it.

### 1/5 — Completely inaccurate measurements

*2023-06-26*

Although the device initially look pretty good It will eventually generate the craziest measurements and despite multiple messages to support team to try to correct the issues, they don’t do anything.

**Developer response:** hello, it seems very strange that our support team didn't help you. Unfortunately I can't identify you with your username. I am sure that if your message has not yet been processed, it will be very soon with the greatest attention.

Please do not hesitate to send us a new message via the "support" tab of the app, so that we can assess the problems encountered and possibly replace your monitor.

### 1/5 — Annoying advertising notifications

*2023-04-26, version 2.29.4*

Stop sending me advertisements in the iOS notifications.

Provide the user the option to get updates about their tub free from these irritating advertisements.

### 2/5 — Amazing .. when it works

*2026-05-09, version 2.43.1*

The hardware is so flaky..
Constantly loosing connectivity
Would be amazing if it actually worked

### 2/5 — Stop trying to sell me your products

*2023-01-14, version 2.27.0*

I bought this device with the intention to track ph and chlorine balance in my hot tub. I’m trying to manage my tub according to the way it says in its instruction manual. Your app is too opinionated about how I should manage the chemicals in my tub. You want me to use chlorine tablets, which the instruction manual of my tub specifically says NOT to use. So why does your UI constantly badger me to buy chlorine tablets from you and to certify that I have used them? Cut it out!

### 2/5 — No notifications?

*2022-07-25, version 2.22.1*

The whole point of getting a device and an app to monitor your spa is to notify you when there’s a problem so you can take action. This app does not do that. While the monitoring the app does do is great, do the developers think I’m going to look at the app every day to see how things are going? Hardly. Pool monitors need to be set and forget, until there’s an issue, then notify the owner.

Please build in notification of some type in to the app so that when I pick up my phone I can tell at a glance there’s an issue from an incoming notification so that I can then take action.

### 3/5 — Wish it had more hot tub support

*2024-10-12, version 2.36.0*

Feels very pool centric. And it only gives you recommendations for their chemicals but they sell more pool oriented products. Would love to see them offer more hot tub focused products or care suggestions. Also wish the sensors just told me my chlorine numbers instead of the obfuscated number.

### 3/5 — Notications Dont work

*2023-08-22, version 2.32.4*

Would be better if notifications worked.

### 5/5 — Great tool

*2025-08-02, version 2.42.1*

A brilliant tool for keeping tabs on your hot tub or jacuzzi. Takes a lot of the hassle out of maintaining chemicals. Great customer service too.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!!🤩

*2025-07-17, version 2.41.5*

This is my third year using the iopool monitor and absolutely love it!!! I wouldn’t have a pool without it! It has simplified my pool maintenance and has helped me keep a beautiful clear pool throughout the swimming season!! I am so grateful!! Thank you iopool!!!❤️ Y’all are amazing!!!🙌

### 5/5 — Life Saver App

*2025-04-07, version 2.38.2*

I would give this app 6 stars if I could. It is accurate and very helpful. I had my pool tip top in just a day or so. I’m not an expert at maintaining a pool but with this app I am. I of course have the Iopool monitor and gateway. Perfect.

It’s just a shame Iopool don’t let you purchase their products in Portugal, such a shame since they do sell to many other EU countries. Otherwise I can’t fault anything.

### 5/5 — Great product

*2024-06-20, version 2.34.5*

Purchased last year at end of pool season. It showed good promise. This is first full pool season and it working as advertised . I wish I could add my own chemicals into inventory on app or share with my pool maintenance service. I would definitely recommend this over strips or taking water samples to get analyzed.

### 5/5 — This thing is awesome

*2024-05-08, version 2.34.1*

Had it over a year now and this thing is awesome. Will always use this device from here on out. App is very user friendly

### 5/5 — Great continuous measurements and notifications

*2024-03-29, version 2.34.0*

The only thing missing for me is the ability to recommend granular chlorine. It only recommends tablets

### 5/5 — Takes the work out of it

*2023-12-03, version 2.33.2*

Great!

### 5/5 — Better than pHin

*2022-08-06, version 2.22.1*

The readings are better and faster. My only gripe is it should allow for more types of chemical

### 5/5 — 💔 I miss my pHin, and…

*2022-07-21, version 2.22.1*

I also agree that it was nice to inventory a limited amount of other brands, etc.; HOWEVER, I DO love having the IO! The app took getting used to, as far as the “sanitation” part (I like readings of Chlorine…), but this is saving A LOT of money in chemical supplies, just like the pHin.

The set-up was MUCH easier than our pHin, that’s for sure! And connecting via our phone is fantastic, in my opinion. I DO work away from home two days/week, so we’ll be investing in the bridge! ❤️

### 5/5 — Great phin replacement

*2021-12-30, version 2.16.0*

Great app. Was looking for a replacement for phin. Offers the same functionality so I can keep tabs on my spa
