As a photographer, I use my mount in remote dark sky locations and because the App is unable to use location services, it will not give you an alignment. It would be much better if there was a facility to manually add locations on such occasions. ### 1/5 — Only works if GPS is online. *2013-08-28* This app will not let you enter a position manually. It will work only with the position determined by the iOS device. Schade. ### 3/5 — Love SkyTracker, but the app could be improve... *2014-05-05* Just love the SkyTracker, and the app is very usefull so to acurately polar align the mount, but you should add a feature that would simply memorise the locations we used... And -or be able to manually enter the coordinates of our actual location. Would be usefull for those with a non 3G iPad for example... The date is a year off...the month is off by a month..and the day is off. The actual info on Polaris seems to be correct. ### 2/5 — Not American English *2020-01-15* The elevation is in metric not much help in the USA. If it can be converted to Chinese why not USA measurements? I’m not knocking metric but I’ve spent 60 years using feet ,miles and Fahrenheit. So only half of this app is of any use for me. It’s only good for alignment I should have paid better attention and not assumed it was for the US market.
