After setting up account could not login to website to pay by card despite numerous password resets etc. so decided to pay by bank transfer in the App but it doesn’t provide the BIC/Swift code necessary to do this. After repeated email exchanges with the useless customer service team I gave up on day 7 of my 8 day holiday. Recommend you get lots of €1 coins to preserve your sanity. ### 1/5 — Why bother? *2024-07-08, version 3.0.3* Why bother writing a parking app and publishing it in Apple Store if you can’t use your Apple account to tip up or your Apple Wallet??? Worst app ever ### 1/5 — Junk *2024-07-06* I’d rather punch myself in the d ick than use this piece of junk. Cumbersome to set up. No Apple Pay. Frustrating UX all round. Could learn a thing or two from Telpark. ### 1/5 — Criminally bad *2024-07-01, version 3.0.3* Not possible to pay via Apple Pay or Visa, which renders the app useless for tourists. Only to prepay and only using a Portuguese bank. So by using this app everyone is effectively lending money to the crooks at zero interest rate. I believe this app and the whole criminal scheme behind it needs to be reported to the state-level authorities and investigated. ### 1/5 — Junk *2024-06-23* Cumbersome to set up. No Apple Pay. Telpark is much better. ### 1/5 — The Worst parking app ever *2024-06-11, version 3.0.3* This is the worst parking app I ever use. Actually, that I try to use. I just gave up! The payment need to be charge into your account and doesn‘t support Pay-pal or Credit card. Only ATM. I have no idea how I would charge some money on my account. Should I go to an ATM and charge?? No idea what that means. It‘s so easy copy what the others do and works well. Why make it so difficult?? I just decide to park at another location. ### 1/5 — Cannot pay using Apple Pay or Visa, Mastercard don't even bother *2024-06-05, version 3.0.3* Useless app for tourists as you can only pay using MB Way which is Portugal's exclusive. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The app is not usable *2026-06-02, version 3.3.2* As a tourist having 20€ as a minimum top up in the app makes the app completely useless. Why can’t we top up 1€ or 5€ at least?? Terrible ### 1/5 — Don’t use *2026-05-08, version 3.3.2* Complete waste of money, minimal top up is 20 euro which is way more than needed for a week. Parking spaces are limited and there is 6 euro charge to withdraw money???? Full scam, I want my money back ### 1/5 — Scammy App - Find coins instead *2025-12-20* It made me pre-charge a min of €20 in order to use it - and doesn’t let me retrieve the remainder. Parking without a payment as a result. ### 1/5 — Just go get coins instead *2025-06-24* Unless you have MB way you won’t be able to use this app. Can’t use Apple Pay or other ways of payment. If you are in an area with bad reception MB way payment won’t work because it needs to connect to your bank ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2025-06-03* Don’t bother downloading. It’s horrible and you can’t really deposit any money immediately. Unfortunately just pay the balance at the parking meter which maybe only go up to 4 hours but you really have no choice. ### 1/5 — Can’t pay by card *2025-03-31, version 3.1.0* Pointless if you want to pay by card! Otherwise app looks nice. ### 1/5 — Don’t use it *2025-03-09, version 3.1.0* After transferring money to the balance via bank transfer, you have to send an email and wait a long time for the balance to be topped up. Mine hasn’t been credited yet. This means it’s impossible to park and pay. A whole day will pass before you do it, or maybe you won’t do it at all, as the money still hasn’t appeared in my balance. ### 1/5 — Worst parking app I ever used *2025-03-06* This app is not user-friendly at all. There is no way to add money or pay for a spot, so it's totally useless. ### 1/5 — SCAM/ BURLA *2025-01-18, version 3.1.0* EVITEM/AVOID- Tranferi dinnheiro, não aceitaram comprovativo do banco e quando pedi o dinheiro de volta para a mesma conta portuguesa não devolveram. Money has been transferred but they don’t accept the bank receipt. Asked for the money back to the Portuguese account an none returned . ## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Can’t complain as works for portuguese *2025-11-15, version 3.2.7* I read the reviews and was very reticent to try this app. However, since I’m portuguese and have mbway installed on my phone, so far it’s working flawlessly. It’s obviously not a 5 star app due to the reasons so many have already listed but a 1 star rating average just doesn’t seem fair for the experience i’m having. ### 5/5 — Works perfectly - have a sense of humour too! *2023-04-30, version 3.0.2* Had no issues using this at all. In fact, works better than most of the uk ones I’ve ever used as it sends reminders that you are still parked so you don’t forget to cancel when you leave. Was able to load it instantly using multibanco app, and parked car with no issues. You need a Portuguese car / Portuguese bank account / Portuguese phone number. But it is for Portugal so…. And they “dare you to tap your screen to park!” Made me laugh. ### 4/5 — Convenient *2025-09-15* I like the app. Makes parking much easier. The only issue is you can’t forget to manually start and stop each parking session. So far I haven’t forgotten. Those that do forget loose money. Maybe the app stops when paying for parking is no longer required but I don’t know for sure. ### 4/5 — Works for me! *2023-04-05* I had no problem loading app with €’s via MB Way. Instantly transferred. I wish you could upload money to be used in any of the participating towns instead of having to upload for each town individually. However, still a great option for towns like Faro that don’t accept Via Verde for paying for street parking. ### 2/5 — How do I top up? *2025-10-14, version 3.2.5* The nice start and stop feature only works if you have credit topped up, but HOW do I top up?
