## What is IPCam Plus?

IPCam Plus with improved user interface
Convenient access to your ABUS IP cameras when out and about allows you to watch all videos live. The free Universal IPCam Plus app is optimised for smartphones and tablets and displays video images from up to six network cameras at once. Alarm outputs can also be controlled via the app. Users can log in both via touch ID or using a six-digit PIN code.

Camera view and online functions
The camera views can be selected individually by creating groups. If multiple cameras are saved in the app, you can switch between them in single or multi-screen simply by swiping. The integrated online help function can display explanations for the control panels, for example. The online update function can be used to update the internal camera database quickly and easily, so that new camera models can be recognised reliably.

Live image access and transfer via MMS or email
The user-friendliness of iPhones or other similar devices is of course retained; simply tilt the mobile device to the side to view videos in landscape mode. When live-streaming, simply click to switch between different quality settings.
Images can also be saved from the live cast. The relevant image is stored in the image folder on the end device and can be sent easily via MMS or email. If the video files are recorded directly on the camera SD card, the recorded material can be viewed via the app. There is no need to download the entire video; the desired areas can simply be selected and then streamed on the device.

Control of PTZ cameras
A particular highlight is the ability to control pan tilt zoom cameras using the buttons displayed in the live view. The app can also be used to configure preset positions for the cameras, and to change these at any time if necessary. Complete camera tours can also be started and stopped this way.

The app supports German, English, French, Dutch and Danish.

Important notes:
The app requires the firmware on your network camera to be up to date, so you may have to update the firmware before you start. Intensive use of the live-streaming function can increase battery consumption, causing the end device to heat up. In the case of remote connections, additional costs may be incurred depending on your provider. The video performance will depend on the transmission bandwidth.

### 1/5 — Unbrauchbar, unzuverlässig, enttäuschend

Diese App ist eine absolute Enttäuschung.

Der Live-Zugriff auf die Kameras funktioniert viel zu oft nicht, und genau das ist bei einem Überwachungssystem völlig inakzeptabel.

Noch schlimmer ist, dass Bilder und Videos nicht zuverlässig gespeichert werden, obwohl selbst die Installation der Kameras durch einen Fachmann erfolgt ist.
Das heißt im Klartext: Im Ernstfall steht man möglicherweise ohne jede Aufnahme da.

Bei Diebstahl, Vandalismus oder anderen Vorfällen ist so ein System damit praktisch wertlos. Eine Überwachungslösung, die genau dann versagt, wenn man sie braucht, ist schlicht unbrauchbar.

Wir werden dieses System definitiv ersetzen und uns in Zukunft ganz sicher gegen ABUS entscheiden.

Wieso bekomme ich die benötigte Version nicht auf mein iPhone 11 und auch nicht auf mein iPad Pro (3 Jahre alt)? 1.3.1 steht dort, aber ich brauche die 1.3.11 
... ansonsten kommt immer die Meldung „Kameramodell konnte nicht ermittelt werden.“

Die App macht genau das was sie machen soll. Wenn ihr eine Normale Kamera habt, könnt ihr (wenn eine SD-Karte eingelegt ist) Aufnahmen angucken. 
Habt ihr eine PTZ-Kamera (Pan-Tilt-Zoom-Kamera) dann könnt ihr sie bewegen und Punkte festlegen, die sie abfährt. 

Doch wenn ich die Aufnahmen meiner Kamera anschaue, stürzt die App einfach ab. Ich hoffe, das wird gefixt. 
Ansonsten, eine Super App!🕹🎥📡

An sich ist die App gut. Es funktioniert alles einwandfrei.
Mich stört es aber, dass wenn ich auf den Stream mit höherer Auflösung wechsle, die App nachdem man sie geschlossen und wieder neu geöffnet hat diese Einstellung nicht beibehält. Sie startet immer den Stream mit schlechterer Qualität.
Das war vor dem Update noch nicht der Fall..

...da kauft man nun ausschließlich Abus IP cams und soll für die verschiedenen Kameras unterschiedliche Apps benutzen??? Ich kaufe mir dann auch noch eine TVIP42560, weil auf der Abus webseite steht, diese lasse sich mit dieser App einbinden. Das geht aber nicht. Ebenso wenig der Video Server TVIP40000- mit der alten App ging wenigstens der. Ich verstehe diese merkwürdige Strategie von Abus nicht und kann darüber nur den Kopf schütteln. Warum ist es nicht möglich, über eine Abus App auch alle Abus Cams einzubinden? Ist doch eigentlich nicht so fernliegend, diese Idee, oder.....? Alternativ- wenn es technische Gründe gibt, die der Laie nicht kennt, weshalb das nicht realisierbar ist: wie wäre es mit einer Erläuterung, worauf man beim Kauf achten muss....?

Diese App wird vorgeschlagen, um die oben genannte Kamera zu erkennen. Das ist bei ordnungsgemäßer Eingabe der Daten leider nicht der Fall und die App sagt nur, dass das Kameramodell nicht bestimmt werden kann. Sehr unzufriedenstellend.
