No updates in about two years, and has various bugs: album art appears/disappears, missing albums, song titles in playlists sometimes get shifted to the left "under" the artwork box, maybe others I've not noticed. You need to sort of scroll back and forth and prompt the artwork to load until they do. This is not the usual slight lag due to server resizing artwork, its behaviour looks like it could be fixable? Apart from that, iPeng is mostly a dream. Only two complaints. I’d like to see the file format at bottom while playing as I have the same recording in multiple formats. The Material browser format has that. It has everything you need that is featured on the Squeezebox controller and is easy and straight forward to use. I would highly recommend and my only issue is I have a lot of music in FLAC hosted on a NAS and I have noticed more recently that the App keeps irritatingly having to update the cache whilst using it. Expensive for what it is, I see no reason to use this app over the material skin which works nicely as a PWA app when added to the Home Screen, only it’s missing lock screen controls. Looks like the author has abandoned the app, but left on sale at a high price for what it is. Transporter and iPeng, although created some time back are unrivalled. There has not been a product released the matches them. Recently there have been a few servers that mimic iPeng and Transporter. However the versatility and interface is still the best ever developed. It is really unfortunate that Logitech took over this product. They really had no idea how or where to market this amazing duo. However iPeng is available as an iPhone app and keeps the server relevant all these years later. Works across Apple products even on Apple Watch. How fantastic is this? When these products were developed there was no such thing as an iPhone. It had not been developed. But it works flawlessly. But the genius is the versatility, compatibility, flexibility allows it to stay relevant even today. Simply the best !! The very best !! Update. Can you believe iPeng and the Transporter are compatible with hi res files. WOW. This network player has been around a long long time. The designers are geniuses with respect to streaming music. But: iPend puts the fun & functionality into the transporter. I have other streamers but the transporter and iPeng are so far better than anything else. But the interface and lack of metadata with LMS in my Safari browser was a strain to use. iPeng makes the playback experience very palatable, and while nothing close to Roon insofar as interface and music discovery is concerned, iPeng delivers the wondrous SQ of Squeeze in a nicely laid out GUI that provides a great experience. And the developer is awesome, responding quickly with a helpful solution to a small matter I’d addressed. So the excellent support earns big bonus points. I highly recommend this app for Squeeze lovers in the iOS ecosystem. ### 5/5 — Traumhaft fehlerfreie App, auch für Sonos *2023-11-04* Ich nutze die App seit Jahren, zuerst für 6 Logitech Sqeezebox Player. Da sie schon lange nicht mehr verkauft werden, kamen in den letzten Jahren einige Sonos Play, Five, Subwoofer dazu. Und das tolle ist: Auch diese Sonos Geräte lassen sich mit iPeng bedienen, gruppieren, sogar in gemischte Gruppen von Logitech und Sonos Geräten. Ein absoluter Traum. Und die mit Werbung gespickte Sonos App … wird automatisch gelöscht, wenn man nicht aufpasst. Компьютер выводит звук на ЦАП через USB, может выводить на колонки через AirPlay, UPNP/DLNA. iPeng всем этим рулит, управляет и стримминговыми сервисами. Не получилось с мультирум в связке USB DAC + колонка через Airplay. Но это вопрос скорее к Daphile, чем к iPeng, наверное. Мне немного не хватает иконок у папок и альбомов, как сделано в mcontrol. По функциональности получилось похоже на Roon, а по качеству звука связка даже лучше Roon, на мой слух.
