### 3/5 — Serious Short Coming

*2024-01-25*

We monitor our own alarm system. (We are 7-9 minutes away) Initially the system would “Call” us if an unauthorized entry occurred day/night. Now it only sends a “Text”. So at night (when we’re asleep) it’s useless. Only a small chance it would awaken us.

### 4/5 — Sray/Away buttons/icons

*2023-10-06, version 3.20.1*

just wondering why i can not use the Stay/Away buttons/icons. i have to manually press on the code numbers on my cfon to turn on/off the alarm remotely

### 4/5 — App is Replaced by Alula Security App

*2021-08-27, version 3.6.0*

Download new app

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-11-16, version 3.5.13*

Stopped working after update.

### 1/5 — Update useless

*2020-11-14, version 3.5.13*

The update numbers are so small you need a magnifying glass please check this out and fix. Thanks

### 3/5 — Version 3.5 update has issues

*2020-11-07*

The new version now pushes double notifications. The event history screen no longer shows zone descriptions or user names without going into an additional screen per event. The new screen format isn’t as easy to read as version 3.2.

### 1/5 — App no longer works

*2020-11-07, version 3.5.12*

Recent update rendered this app useless. I cannot get in because now there is a username and password required. It would have been nice to get a headsup before they made it impossible to retrieve the username! I’ve had this app for 8 years.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore

*2020-11-05, version 3.5.12*

It sometimes worked and sometimes was glitchy over the past 7 years, but this last major update added a request for username and password. Can’t get in at all.

### 1/5 — Blank screen

*2020-11-03*

After the recent update, there is nothing but a blank white screen!

### 1/5 — Bad

*2020-10-29, version 3.5.11*

L’ancienne version style keypad beaucoup mieux, Nouvelle apps vraiment pas user frrendly

### 1/5 — This app hasn’t worked in 2 weeks

*2020-05-02*

This app is screwed up, hasn’t worked in 2 weeks I am unable to arm or disarm my alarm. Junk!!!! If not resolved soon will have to switch alarm companies

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2019-11-18*

This app looks and work as if a 5yr old made this... the app wouldn’t connect to my home security system and now I'm outside my house for the past 30mins waiting for it to connect. Highly unacceptable...

### 1/5 — Worst App Ever

*2019-10-04, version 3.2*

Ipfob never works. I get a “low battery” flash every time I open the app. My password doesn’t work. My alarm code doesn’t work. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling and that doesn’t work. I go to the alarm dealer website to set alarm, and it instructs to go to ipfob. It’s like you can never get out of this loop. Do not waste your time as you will be continually frustrated.

### 1/5 — Needs an update

*2018-12-13*

Love the app, when it works! Running on iPhone X and the app won’t load with latest update! I don't know if system is armed or not I have to keep resetting it. Please fix ASAP

### 1/5 — IpFob

*2018-08-31, version 3.2*

App not functional. Terrible!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Password issues

*2018-08-12, version 3.2*

App allows you to attempt incorrect passwords ad nauseum. Major security risk!

### 2/5 — Horribly rudimentary

*2018-02-26*

It works but...
- The app is not secure. Even my garage door opener asks me to verify my fingerprint or password before accessing the app. This should be an app that does require a bit more work to get into in my opinion
- I wish it had panic buttons integrated. Hopefully never to be used, of course, but it should be there.
- Account and password isn’t customizable, same going for the name of the actual device displayed. Also, one account fits all people with access. It would be great to allow creation and deletion of accounts that can log in (each child individually, dog walker, maid etc). That way there’s a way to verify not only what time the alarm was disengaged and engaged, but also who did it.
- Zones are numbered rather than named. This could be easily customized.
- Overall it looks and feels like it was designed in the early 90s.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore!

*2026-04-29*

This is a basic app that I used to remotely arm/disarm my wired security system set up by an installer. Worked for many years until recently (April 2026). Tried resetting password with different emails but doesn’t recognize any password now. Useless. Have not tried customer service as some comments state they have none. One star.

### 1/5 — No longer works with alarm

*2021-11-01, version 3.7.0*

What’s the point of this app now?

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2021-08-01*

One star is too low. This app feels like it was written by junior high kids after a weekend app design class. It’s just mind-bogglingly bad. It periodically hangs, crashes, fails to connect, etc. And it is such an important app to have, if you use it to arm and disarm your alarm system. There really should be an option for zero stars.

### 1/5 — App Now Useless

*2021-07-22*

This app worked fine for several years to arm and disarm our alarm system. Now however it opens to an Events page and there is no way to get to the arm / disarm dialog rendering the app completely useless.

Despite uniformly 1 star reviews of the recent update demonstrating the app is complete garbage now, the developers have done nothing to correct the issue. This is unforgivable since the app is critical for the functioning of your house alarm. If this lack of response continues the only choice is to cancel the alarm system that uses this forsaken app and go with an alternative.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2021-07-22*

App needs to be updated. I can’t access any of the functions.

### 1/5 — What happened?

*2021-07-10, version 3.5.23*

I can’t arm or disarm my alarm anymore.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2021-06-25*

This is the worst app I have ever used. After resetting the password, it doesn’t recognize the password. First time I have seen this.

### 1/5 — Latest version does not work

*2021-03-09*

I just update this app. I won’t show the key pad anymore. Now I can’t use it to arm/disarm my alarm remotely.

### 1/5 — New Update???

*2020-12-02*

I would be embarrassed if I were the creator of this new update! It looks like they had a 7th grader develop it. Please bring back the previous one. Normally, people are excited to see what’s new and can’t wait to browse around the new update but I feel like I went from playing a Play Station 5 back to Atari. Worst update in history!

### 1/5 — Hard to Read

*2020-11-25*

Do you think you can make the numbers on the pad any smaller? It’s ridiculous! Hard to see hard to read tiny print on white background little contrast. App works but you need a magnifying glass!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excelente

*2025-11-26, version 3.28.10*

Muy gasolinera de usar

### 5/5 — Works every time

*2023-06-18*

There is nothing like having an intuitive app. I must say, this is the most useful app I’ve found for what it does and can do. Everything is at your fingertips and it allows you to control devices all from the app. The best part is that it works every time.

### 5/5 — 2 years no issues

*2019-09-27, version 3.2*

Having remote access to the security system at our vacation home has been extremely helpful. No problems except don’t lose your username or password, it’s a pain to reset.

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2016-11-17, version 3.1*

I complaints here. This is awesome!

### 5/5 — Works Everytime!!!

*2016-10-06, version 3.1*

Never had an issue with this app. It's fast compared to other alarm apps. If you are having issues with the app it's most likely something to do with your internet either going to the module or your phone. Also If you want a more updated interface try securesmart.

### 5/5 — Quick & reliable software

*2014-09-21, version 3.1*

The app does what it's supposed to.

Feature wish list:

programmable buttons like the ones on the ademco 6160 key pad. It would be even better if these keys could be controlled through home kit so that Siri could arm the alarm, etc.

### 5/5 — Dealer

*2014-08-20, version 3.1*

User friendly highly recommend

### 5/5 — Love This Ap

*2013-06-27, version 3.1*

This ap just keeps getting better and better. I have a Honeywell alarm panel and wish that you could make buttons for arm and disarm similar to the other panels as it would make it easier to operate. Also could you make the background color red when armed. Now it is always green and you have to wait for it to cycle through to see the state of the alarm. Thank you for the good work. Thinking about upgrading to the CBAT...

### 5/5 — Central Security Houston with DSC System

*2013-02-14, version 2.6*

Works great. Just log into the virtual keypad and label zone/user names and it sends text with the name to let you know it who armed or disarmed the system. I use it to see if my teenage daughter leaves the home or lets anyone in when she is home alone.

### 5/5 — 10x better than the $35/month option

*2013-01-05, version 2.6*

Now that I have my security system on iPhone, I use it all the time. The alarm notifications reporting directly to my phone via TXT and a phone call is the most important feature to me. Opening and Closing emails also help me keep track of who's in and out.

I understand the value of central station monitoring but don't see the need and this is all I use.
