The app is not easy to use and the interface is clunky. On the desktop it is easy to find prayers and other things. The app strangely does the opposite. I cannot wholly recommend it. The content is superb. Recently I accidentally switched to the Latin content and thought the app changed the content. When I reached out, Father was very helpful and cleared up the issue. It has helped me tremendously, and I have used it multiple times a day every day. Everyone I recommend it to is immediately impressed by its capabilities and content, which are truly astounding. This app is an invaluable tool for one’s prayer life, spiritual reading, theological study, or catechetical teaching. It’s actually incredible that an app this powerful is completely free. I cannot recommend it enough. ### 5/5 — Excellent! *2025-08-27* This app has been with me since I joined the Church in 2021. At that time, there was an audio bible that saved your progress and it was fairly user-friendly. I asked them about the audio bible and I was told, basically, “ I don’t know if it will come back, but hopefully it does.” Update: this has been fixed and I couldn’t recommend this app more! **Developer response:** Please check out the latest version (13.1.6) and make sure the advanced options in Settings are disabled. The introductory video explains basic navigation. https://www.ipieta.com/en/help/pages/simpleHelp.html The audio now saves your place not only for the bible, but also for prayers such as the rosary. The recent audio list display all audio history, or just prayers, or the bible. You can also create your own playlists. (For example: the Rosary, Litany of Loretto, chapters 5-8 of Matthew, Litany of the Precious Blood.) Currently, the audio is far more powerful and less buggy than any previous version. I got a new iPhone and was forced to run version 13. The user interface is appalling, terrible. And does not accomplish your mission to make accessibility of prayers, Latin and English masses and daily readings, easy to access in the current version. The landing page, for example, does not easily allow the user to navigate to their folder structure. Version 12.4.6 with a landing page UI for the user to easily navigate between Traditio versus Novus Ordo versus Work has been completely degraded in the current version 13. However, I finally updated the app, and the app was ruined by the update. The layout is confusing, the downloads are unstable, and the ui is much worse. Please go back to the old look and ui. I literally read the entirely of all the ecumenical councils on the go old version. I use prayers and readings in Latin, French, and English, with forays into Greek and Italian. In any of its languages it is a marvelous collection. Furthermore, in the few cases I ran into problems the response was quick and effective. A reference, Holy Bible, and also includes a Duay/Rheims Edition! MY personal favorite. Truly a massive library that every priest and lay member should have on their iPhone! So I will leave it at that and only say, “THANK YOU” for the app and constant updates! Previous title:Getting worse every update *2026-02-05* I’m updating the review and giving it 5 stars. 1st: the developers reached out and proposed a solution that worked. 2nd: the next updates worked well and all the functionality is fully restored. This is the best Catholic app. Has all the prayers. Has all the key traditional books. Has the mass and breviary. Very compact, fast, works offline. Can’t recommend it enough. Supports a few languages too. Old review, no longer valid: After years of loving this application, I’m saddened to see it going south every time they push and upgrade. Lately the user interface became so un-natural, that if you didn’t know the great content included, you would miss it. But today’s push made it un-usable. I’m luck I still have the most used books and prayers in my favorites. Tried reaching the developers on the link provided at the App Store, but the link is broken. I am always amazed at the amount of content offered at no cost.
