No probs with mini and 1st gen iPad. ### 2/5 — For groups only *2013-03-07* I had hoped to play Five Hundred against three computer players, but nothing doing. To play, I would need to find three other people to log in. Other than that this app has no purpose, lol you can't play with any AI, so basically if you have a deck of cards then just play with those instead. If you want people to actually pay money for the full app you better make sure the free sample is useable. ### 4/5 — Neat idea decent app *2011-01-03, version 1.6* This is a decent app considering size limitations of the iPod screen. Can be a bit fiddly to use for that reason. Would work well on an iPad because of the larger size. You need to set the dealing to work for your particular game. You 'slot' cards into a bar at the bottom of the screen for them to be invisible to others; otherwise the cards are on the table. A neat idea and it works! When iPod is flat your hand disappears from view. Drawback of pass and play is that only one person at a time can see their hand. Bluetooth on the paid version would work better. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Total waste of time *2020-04-14* The five star reviews must be from the developer, this was a waste of about 2 hours trying to figure out how to hide the opponents cards, good idea but doesn’t work **Developer response:** To hide cards, tilt the device and slip the card under the black translucent bar. You need to understand how to adjust the settings which are complicated - because there are so many features. Great app. Play any card game you want. It’s a lot of fun playing cards anywhere on multiple devices either through Game Center (and with your Mom in Florida) or through WiFi. I have connected 4 devices together once I figured out the settings. ### 5/5 — Great card App *2016-08-07* I downloaded this App, to see if it would do what I was after.... to be able to turn over a card at a time off a deck of playing cards (without the need for the pack!!) It looked as if it would allow this but I could not see how. So, I emailed the author for help. He replied, very quickly, showing me how to configure it.... Hey Presto, it now does just what I am after and I am using it for a couple of different games with the kids, great!! So, top marks for the App - and 6 out of 5 for the really great help & support. ### 5/5 — Connects multiple devices *2015-11-25* This is ‘simply’ a deck of cards - but when multiple devices are connected together it advances any card game to a new level. It shuffles and deals and then lets you move the cards around the table or into your hand. It’s better than a real deck because you can play long distance using the Game Center or anywhere in the room using bluetooth. There is also a tilt mode that is ok. ### 5/5 — Delightful! *2015-05-04* I love this app because it allows me to play patience cards games without the need for real cards and space to accommodate them, which is not always convenient. It is that much closer to actually handling playing cards than the usual card simulations where the software does it all for you. The controls take a bit of getting used to but, with some practice, they don't really present a problem. Also, I would have thought that this app would be handy when you are trying to learn a new card game and need a deck of cards to follow the text from a book and the need to randomly move cards about (something you cannot normally do with dedicated card apps). Very useful also when you are on the move, perhaps in a train, and have your iPad with you and feel like playing a patience game to kill time (saves having to download another app). I cannot comment on online play since I have not used that facility yet, however, for my purposes at least, it is a very clever and useful bit of software. I highly recommend this app. ### 5/5 — Great playing card game. *2013-09-01* This app is awesome. It is completely open ended so you can play any game. Think of it as a digital deck of cards. The game doesn't play itself, you need players to play. This app makes long distance play or places that would blow cards away, able to be played. As for the open ended part: this app only supplies the cards. The rest is up to the players to make rules and play the game. The hardest part (dealing) can be preset, and it even can organize your cards for you! What else could you ask for before telling the game to play itself? Overall...5/5. Great, open ended app. ### 5/5 — Multi-player deck of cards *2011-06-26* We had lots of fun playing on a train - two iPhones and an iPad connected using the Bluetooth function. It worked well. The one player with the full version did all the mixing. We weren't even sitting together. Great action, even at a distance. This is a deck of cards for you to play with. It is not a computerized game. But you can do anything with this deck that you can do with a real deck, except card tricks. ### 5/5 — Beautiful on an iPad *2010-11-13* This deck looks beautiful on my iPad. We played poker and bridge for over an hour. The tilt works well. But we look forward to the multi-device version so that we can play on our iPhones. Thanks for this sweet game. ### 4/5 — Grate *2015-06-06* Grate app. Deleted it because it was old. Really good. Problem is that the app will never know what game your playing like war and stuff. Still great. Also a joke from the directions symbol, Looks like something from Apple maps.
