This thumb drive for your iPhone automatically starts “IPlugmate”, which immediately aborts and won’t open no matter what you do. It’s really disappointing they sold a device that requires their app and they don’t update the app. It’s now useless.

This is one reason people still by PCs - plug in drives just work, no app needed.

You can only copy files from your device’s camera roll (Recents). You cannot copy files from the iOS Files app. To make matters worse, the app’s share sheet function (Copy to iPlugmate) doesn’t work.

The app hasn’t had an update in over a year 🤨

Hadn’t used my iPlugmate in a while and was on travel. Tried to plug it in to get some archived files and much to my surprise, it no longer works with my phone. Upon further investigation, I find that the software has not been updated in four years. Shame on you!

This program does not work with IOS 17.6.1 It works ok with the older IOS 15.8.3 Thankfully I still have my IPhone 7 with the older IOS so I can use that to get my photos. Did the developer die?

Worked great out of the box with my iPhone 10.
Continued to work perfectly when I upgraded to the iPhone 12.  Now I’ve started using the iPhone 13 and this little thumb drive continues to work perfectly.   It’s fantastic when traveling to back up my pics and free up space on my camera roll.  I’m going to buy another to use with my iPad so both the phone and tablet have a dedicated external storage.

This HooToo memory stick is very new to me. I bought this to help manage the videos I have on my iPhone Pro 11. I had already backed up most of my videos, but I wanted a more accessible device, hence the HooToo memory stick. I have now backed up all of my videos and images on my iPhone—the process was seamless and impressive. I have since plugged it into a HooToo TripMate hub and watched videos on my large screen TV using wifi and I have plugged it into both my iPad and my laptop to view my videos. I also plugged it back into my iPhone to check my access to all of the backed up videos and images—it worked fine. The app doesn’t support AirPlay so I had to use mirroring, which was a bit of a disappointment. The video preview is small, so it is hard to determine what video is about to play. The preview is larger on my iPad. The iPhone plays the videos very well, I used 60 FPS HD for some videos and they play very well with AirPlay, or in this case mirroring.

I use it all the time to transfer docs from my computer to my iPad and visa versa, also to send mails to my contacts. It is a ver practical USB key .
Je l’utilise tout le temps pour transférer des docs de mon ordi à mon iPad et vis versa, aussi pour envoyer des mails à mes contacts. C’est une clé USB très pratique.

Using a Lightning USB device to transfer files between Apple and non-Apple platforms is by far the easiest way to go with the least amount of overhead.  This app and the associated memory device are simple, fast, and intuitive.  It just gets the job done, no-nonsense.  No extra Cloud accounts required, just plain and simple file transfer at its easiest.

Ok so I was looking for a way of transferring files from my iPad to other iOS devices when airdrop options were not available. This app makes it possible. I am now able to airdrop music files not downloaded through the iTunes Store to other devices. I am a digital content creator and having the ability to transfer files as easily as a non iPad computer is really helpful. All music files have a directory so you can create playlists and cycle though your music and iPhoto’s and other files. This is like having a backup files app on your iOS if the native files app does not meet all of your needs. I am thrilled with the functionality of this app. And it works in iOS 12. 🙌🏻 would recommend this app for the workflow enthusiast who wants to work from iOS devices full time. 📱📲

Ok, I am not tech savvy but this was easy!
I downloaded the app and plugged in the Iplugmate. I did read the manual but also watched a video on line. Then I started the download into the folders and within minutes, my videos and pictures, all 745 of them were transferred. I went back to be certain they were copied, they were🙏
And now I can select just a few I want to keep on my phone, allowing me more dpace👍
