You have to take the time to poke around in the settings and read the help files. Once you do, you'll find that this app is an outstanding drawing / drafting app. I'm using it for everything that requires drawing or illustration and it gets the job done. The developers have a comprehensive user manual on their website. Download it! You get out of it what you put in to it. Invest the time to learn the interface and you won't be disappointed. ### 5/5 — iPocket Draw *2018-11-13, version 2.062* I have used Auto Cad and other Cads for over 20 years! For small/medium sized construction projects IPocket draw gives me all I need! The mind boggling advantage is it a 50 times cheaper than ACad And 10 is times easier to use! Especially with an iPad Pro with the active pen And You can draw wherever you may be, in the office, on the couch, in bed on even on the beach; anywhere! Inoltre è ben supportata: se scrivete all'autore dando suggerimenti, state sicuri che vi risponderà e prima o poi ve li troverete implementati nell'app. Ottima per fare rilievi da trasferire poi su computer o per semplici disegni quando non si ha il PC a portata di mano. (Usata su iPhone dal 3Gs, al 6s e su iPad->iPad Air) È da migliorare l'importazione dei dxf (soprattutto di grandi dimensioni) mentre è assente l'importazione da dwg. L'integrazione di servizi cloud (iCloud, dropbox,...) è supportata con la funzione 'Apri in...'. Da acquistare sicuramente (un must che non ha corrispettivi di usabilità su altre piattaforme smartphone/tablet) ### 5/5 — Perfect *2015-05-15, version 1.963* It's exactly what I was looking for and intuitive to use. I wanted to be able to grab images of charts online and import into a program where I can draw support lines and also duplicate lines I drew. This works. Eric ### 4/5 — E-rick *2014-04-03, version 1.940* It's not a cheap apps and using It feels like the basic Autocad in terms of basic drawing tools and what these tools does. My wish lists would be to improve on champering, increased accuracy in snaps to mid, end, intersections. Saving it to other formats (jpg etc.) should allow compression in aspect ratio to give the right proportion once it's re written to other formats. This app is quite powerful for iPad and I hope you can add more functions to the menu similar to technical drawings or designs. Please keep it up. ### 2/5 — Good app until it drops out losing most of the current drawing! *2013-12-17, version 1.931* Good app, however every time I've used the app for longer than 30-40mins it drops out closing the app thus losing the majority of the drawing you are working on and as you can imagine this is unbelievably frustrating!!! Bearing in mind the £6.99 I paid for the app the less I expect is a stable app! What was a welcome and enjoyable app experience, instantly became an empty white screen that crashes the application with any attempt to move the work area... Completely broken! If the developer provided contact information within the app or on the website, I'd be letting him know directly instead of submitting this review. And this has always been the problem with iPocket Draw - the developer is very "hands off" when it comes to support, instructions, and the like - a man of few words. I hope you develop engineering applications for structural civil engineering but as accurately as the accuracy of this application. Anwar ### 5/5 — Help with “snap to grid” *2025-10-24* I’ve spent a good half hour to simply “try” to snap a simple line or point of a line to grid. I’ve selected “snap to grid” icon, I’ve played with several different resolutions (including 1 pixel), the program would just avoid the grid as if I had chosen some “avoid grid” option, especially intersection lines of grid. Also, when I choose the Angle button between two lines with one common point, it displays the number as a text but I cannot type a different value of an angle there which would change the actual angle of the lines on the drawing. I guess the same is valid for a simple length of a line. Apart from that this looks like a very nice program. **Developer response:** Bonjour, I made some videos to teach how iPocket Draw works. To modify the angle of a line (or other datas), you must display the edit pallet. The instructions are OK but if you keep playing with it you can find the function you are looking for. It is good for someone that has previous CAD experience, it is difficult for someone with no experience. If are looking for an iPad CAD program and you have previous CAD experience, like to make accurate 2D drawings on the go and you are crafty and persistent then THIS PROGRAM IS FOR YOU. Highly recommend it. ### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for! *2021-01-30, version 3.02* I worked with AutoSketch on my PC. This app is the perfect transition to my IPad Pro. Easy to get used to the interface and PDF export or print are the options I need. Have not found one function which I used on my old AutoSketch missing. This app has it all and I can straight away make my drawings without having to learn a drawing program with thousands of complicated functions I will never use for the relative simple work I do with it. For example, grabbing objects a specific way allows you to snap them in alignment against other objects and using the dimension labeling tool is super handy but unique in the way it works. If you need to draw a project to scale, this is an excellent app. In fact, I now consider this one of the top 10 best apps for serious computing on the iPad Pro and using the Apple Pencil 2. The price point is another factor that swayed me in this direction as a competitive offering had a horrible subscription model which this one thankfully avoids. ### 5/5 — Perfect for on site measure drawings *2020-01-21, version 2.071* I bought this app to use when I do site measures. I don’t need it to be accurate, just to be able to draw the room with all its. Features. It’s really easy to add new symbols and they can be adapted easily in use. I really recommend this app for anyone who just needs to draw a layout quickly.
