Takes time. Shady af. *2020-09-30, version 3.20.3* I’m giving this app two stars because I did actually get a $25 gift card when I really needed it, but don’t stop reading yet. The customer service is atrocious and they’re all so very sketchy. First, it took me two or three months, as they only give you a very limited number of surveys. Second, they locked my account as soon as I tried to redeem my reward— they waited until after I did their surveys and was checking out to lock it. I had to message them on Facebook, and they took a week to reply. Apparently they locked my account because I did surveys on my phone and computer, and they told me to only use one device from now on. They unlocked my account and I checked out. Third, after I checked out they stopped giving me surveys altogether. It’s been months or even maybe a year and still no surveys have shown up for me. I guess they got what they wanted. Anyway, use at your own risk but play by their arbitrary rules so they’ll actually pay up and be ready to only use it once. ### 4/5 — Love it *2019-12-29, version 3.16.3* Well I used to love it. Always enjoyed the survey topics. Never had a payout issue. Surveys are a good length and the reward is sufficient. The past 3 days it is given me the message that there is no internet connection. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I’ve changed my network connection. Restarted my modem and still can’t get in. I’ve left messages through messenger but haven’t heard back yet. They are usually pretty quick to respond. So I’m just waiting. So close to have reached the cash out point too. ### 2/5 — Usually pays fairly, but so many bugs! *2019-04-17, version 3.16.0* This survey app usually pays better than other apps and websites. HOWEVER, there are a lot of regular functionality problems/glitches/bugs. Most importantly is that I can’t switch to landscape mode on the app no matter what I do. A lot of surveys won’t let you advance until it’s in landscape mode or it just won’t work if it’s not in it! I’ve tried making sure my orientation lock isn’t on, still not working. I know that it’s just the app doing this because I can switch to landscape in every other app just fine. Secondly, is there are issues with playing video and sound. This ranges from pressing the play button repeatedly and nothing happening to no sound playing no matter what I do (and if you don’t correctly guess what sound was playing, you get kicked out of the survey). If you can’t continue a survey because it stopped working in the middle of it, there’s nothing you can do. Also, a lot of surveys take much longer than what the app says it should take. Another huuuuuge problem is that I can’t contact support form the app. It says that “I’m not set up to send messages,” whatever that means. So, I would have to go onto the website to contact support. Very tedious. It’s a shame, because this app would be SO MUCH BETTER if it didn’t have these big problems. ### 1/5 — Do not waste your time! *2019-03-29, version 3.15.10* This is the first time I've ever actually been compelled to write an app store review. If you're thinking of downloading iPoll to make some extra pocket change, run away now! There are better options available. Here's the gist: You will spend hours earning .50 cents here, $1 there, slowly building towards the $50 cash out requirement. At some point your account will be suspended. You will have to email to find out why and will be sent a boiler plate response saying that your account has been flagged for accuracy. Your wages will be forfeited and you will have no further recourse. This is wage theft and I am surprised this company has yet to have been sued or forced to shut down, probably because no one is willing to go to that length over $50. For your own sake, don't download this app or otherwise engage with this company (Survey Sampling Intl). They're making a fortune off the work of the financially desperate. Learn from others mistake and run away now. ### 1/5 — Terrible App! *2019-01-17, version 3.15.4* The only survey that I was allowed to complete and receive money was the very first survey. The second, third and fourth survey randomly dismissed me after I filled out some information. I understand that the second and third surveys were random surveys that I may not have been qualified for but the fourth survey was a survey that was made for me based on information I entered. I spent about 10 minutes entering thoughtful information in and the survey exited and said “this survey isn’t right for you”. It’s bad enough that we’re only being paid 50 cents per survey, let alone the fact that we don’t get credited for spending 10+ minutes on a survey. Time is valuable, give us something for participating! I’m sorry to say that I won’t be using your app anymore! Thank you! ### 1/5 — TOTAL SCAM DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!! *2019-01-08, version 3.15.4* Newest update Jan 2019: My iPoll account, along with my QuickThoughts account (same company) have suddenly disappeared along with almost $50 in rewards between the two apps. Emails to support go unanswered. Just another scam by the great folks at Survey Sampling International! Prior: Where do I start? Spend lots of time on a job, submit it, and wait months and months to get paid. They lowered the SH payment from .50 to .25 per item. They deny your payment altogether without explanation. And they raised the minimum PayPal payout from $35 to $50 and then iPoll charges you a fee to get your money (which usually happens several months after you request it). Think it's about time I dropped this outfit. Have much better jobs, payouts, and integrity from the other survey and mystery shop companies I work with. Update: October 2, 2015. I have submitted surveys from the first week in August that are still "pending". I am less than $3 away from receiving a payout and they are stalling. My guess is they're hoping I will delete my account and forfeit the $47+ in there. Customer service is still non existent. They generally don't respond to inquiries and when they do it's a canned response. I'm getting paid within a couple of minutes on some survey apps (Opinion Outpost, Field Agent, and Survey Sampling) but wait MONTHS to be paid by this one. Then they have the nerve to send me emails saying "we haven't seen you in a while". Guess they can't figure out why. ### 1/5 — Don’t get this app *2018-09-28, version 3.14.8* I downloaded this app, and I took about 30-40 surveys!!! Every single one I took ask for like five to ten questions and then said sorry this survey isn’t right for you!!!! I didn’t get any points. They ask very personal questions. Like, why are you asking me these questions????? One ask for all the nicknames of my kids in the household and their date of birth. I answered all the questions and then they said this survey isn’t right for you?? What?? Why do you need my kids nicknames and date of births??? Also they ask for my tv and internet provider, and the next day everything stopped working!! I had to call my cable company and get it fixed. I don’t know if this app did it or what but I immediately deleted it!! Please don’t waste your time on this app!!!!! ### 1/5 — You go halfway until they tell you that you don’t qualify *2018-08-24, version 3.14.7* I’m sorry but I took already 3 questionnaires and about halfway into them or about 15 minutes later it tells me I’m not the right fit. That’s upsetting. Most other ones will pay you at least something small just for your time I like here. Just sounds like they want your info that they need from you towards almost the and then tell you you don’t qualify or you’re not the right match for the pool. At some big BS. That’s how much It upset me... also I bet you anything that a lot of those positive feedbacks we’re all paid consumers.. ### 1/5 — Stick to the short reviews *2018-08-12, version 3.14.6* Started with the smaller reviews and they were fine ($0.50 reviews.) They only took a few minutes to do and were very simple. Then some higher paying reviews popped up. So I tried them. The last one I did was on video games, which I do play regularly and am knowledgeable about. I went through 94 questions. That’s not a typo, 94 questions, then it told me the survey wasn’t a “good fit.” So I made nothing for about 35 minutes of honest comments about a variety of video games. One thing that was very fishy about this survey is that there were sporadic questions about the GameStop company. Now the last few questions I answered when It kicked me out of the survey were on my rating of GameStop, which I gave a low score. It seems that this was a GameStop backer review and so the low rating of the company kicked me out. How convenient. Haven’t cashed out my money because I haven’t made $25 in earnings yet. ### 1/5 — Would rate it a 0 *2018-08-12, version 3.14.6* Hello all!! I would rate this app as a 0 for 2 reasons... 1)You are almost done with the survey, you are thinking to yourself. Holy cannoli I’m going to get free money for these question! But you’re down to the last 2-3 questions and you answer one of the last ones and you get a message saying; This survey doesn’t quite fit you! So it’s really dumb!!! You wasted your time already, and you don’t get anything! I hate this with a burning passion!!!! And finally for the second reason; It constantly sends you notifications when you turn them on. Telling you that there are more surveys to waste your time, and give you nothing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! ### 4/5 — IPoll *2018-08-06, version 3.14.6* This is a pretty good app if you have lots of free time. One problem is that the surveys can be very long and pay very little. It is especially annoying when you are almost done with a long survey and then it tells you the survey is not fit for you, when it says this it takes you back to the home page and doesn’t give you anything. Even though it does this it is still a very user friendly app, and it seems to be reliable, there are too many scams out there but this is not one. ### 1/5 — Was good till they got shady *2018-08-06, version 3.14.6* I will say unlike most apps they let you get paid for surveys this one is the fastest. I do hate how sometimes I don't qualify and get nothing. I was able to make $40 dollars and after I banked my money, suddenly the app stopped working. They locked me out of my account. Tried to contact them to resolve issue and they were slow as molasses responding and when they did they tried to make it seem as if they fixed the problem but my account was locked again the same day. Basically, a bunch of lies and so. Yes, you can make money but don’t make too much or they will shut your account down. ### 1/5 — They will lock you out of your acct and keep your earnings! *2018-07-21, version 3.14.5* I downloaded this app to create a little extra spending money for my family. To cash out, you have to complete enough surveys that equal to $25. After 2 weeks, I went to cash out and had issues with logging in. Spoke to customer service to change the email used and was told it was all set to be logged in. Went to log in and a pop up told me that I was banned after I spent 3 days back and forth following proper procedure to get my money! They have cut off all contact!! Do not waste your time with this scam of a app and company!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — What happened to this app? *2023-10-18* This used to be my favorite survey app and I’ve used it for years to help me buy my kids gifts for Christmas, but it’s changed. All of a sudden, I can’t do any surveys due to fraudulent activity. I don’t understand. This used to be honest and trustworthy. Now I’m stuck at $21 and can’t get anything else. I’m thinking of uninstalling, which is sad bc I’ve used it for so many years and I’ve enjoyed it so much. I’m honest and consistent with my answers. As a college student, I’m aware how companies use surveys for their products, so I remain trustworthy and honest throughout the surveys. I’ve never had this happen before. Did someone else take over or something? I’m so disappointed. I haven’t uninstalled yet bc I’m hoping they’ll get there stuff together, but at this point, it’s useless. I can’t do anything! But there are genuine surveys that are true to their claims, this one ain’t one of them. ### 1/5 — SCAM!!! *2020-08-11, version 3.20.2* I’ve had this so for a long time. I have money that I’ve earned and I’m NOT able to cash out because my app hasn’t been working for a long time. I’ve tried to get in touch with anybody in reference to this but they do NOT provide any customer service. I managed to find a way to email them with but I get a message telling me it can not be delivered because they won’t accept it. It’s really frustrating! It was great in the beginning but as soon as I tried cashing what I earned app stopped working. I believe it’s illegal to keep my earnings from me after I earned them answering the surveys. ### 1/5 — Promising app, but scam like so many survey apps. *2020-07-19, version 3.20.1* To fellow people wanting passive income I havemade good money on merchandising apps like survey by merchandiser, field agent, easy shift, and mobee. And while I have had my difficult moments with them, they at least pay. This app collects all this valuable “profile” or personal info to start, so they can mine or sell it to other companies. They then pry for more personal info through surveys they deny payment on by saying once you’ve answered the first 80% of questions a that oops sorry this survey wasn’t a good fit for you. I literally made $2 in like ten minutes on 2 surveys and now I have wasted 45 minutes getting denied on 4 straight surveys payment. Yet they get my info and continue to email me hey we have a survey to make money. At least with field agent and my other apps I dont get offered something and not get paid. If your interested in making money and not giving up valuable personal information for FREE I suggest staying away this app and using field agent or mobee or easy shift Observa gig walk or any number of apps that don’t let you waste your time answering there questions to deny you payment to the actual survey. Sincerely, Ryan J. Gross ### 1/5 — Ipoll *2019-11-03, version 3.16.3* Update - Found out this app is apparently known for lack of customer support. But when you email them directly from the app (the email directly to their site) it comes back as undeliverable. It seems this app is good for wasting time and “possibly” making a few bucks. First and foremost let me begin by stating that you are getting “free” money for you to stare at your phone and answer questions you probably answer multiple times a day anyways. What’s better than that? Well with everything good there is always at least a little bad/negative. Pro’s - App is well made. Money. Easy. Free. And as long as you are logging in everyday then you should be rewarded with plenty of surveys to occupy your time. Con’s - You only qualify for maybe 1/4 the surveys and unlike other survey apps you do not receive any incentive for your time spent on surveys you do not qualify for. Not all surveys are screened very well so when they come to you, you may not qualify even if you didn’t do anything. Some of the surveys are obviously not well made as they are trying to control the outcome or you don’t qualify. Taking them on your mobile device can have visual issues when completing an outsourced survey. And last but not least, you can only earn a certain amount per day (which personally is disappointing). Whereas the con’s out number the pro’s, the fact that you are getting free money and you don’t even have to get dressed...? I’m sold. ### 1/5 — This app hardly works... *2019-09-16, version 3.16.3* I have had this app for awhile now and its a waste of time. Most surveys do not work, they send me email saying I have a survey however when I try to use it it ask me a bunch of questions and never gives me a survey to complete. The App won’t even open anymore. I did a few surveys after I complained and cashed out. Then I thought it was working again but it suddenly stopped and I am back to not being able to open the app even though they sent me daily surveys. I have wasted hours of my time. I just got more surveys and spent 2 evenings taking them and the balance in my account has not increased. I don’t understand why they aren’t paying me. They have asked all this personal information about me and then they don’t pay the money they promised. I wrote them a few days ago and they never responded but did send surveys, which I took and it didn’t increase my balance at all. I wondering about this app! ### 1/5 — Don’t fall for it! *2019-08-14, version 3.16.2* SCAM SCAM SCAM! This app is not an honest one!! User beware!! I don’t normally write reviews but this is worth the review! They pay people to write positive reviews. You, like I, will spend countless hours answering stupid questions for a few cents per hour. You will finally reach your limit and be able to cash out. You, like I, will get a pop up message saying your account has been flagged and closed and you won’t ever see the money that you’ve earned. I emailed their help desk asking what this blasphemy about having my account flagged is and they said they’d review it (false hope) then they emailed me saying they’re sorry but I’ll never be allowed to participate in surveys again or make another account. It’s a SCAM!!! ### 1/5 — Easy to get rewards, but what’s the point if they’re not going to pay you? *2019-08-09, version 3.16.2* As the title suggests, I have been for some reason blacklisted after doing all the surveys to the point where my cash was redeemable. I have been answering it truthfully and very rarely make a mistake. Now, I’ve been doing all of this until I reached $25 which took about a week. However, a message interrupts saying you have a “technical error” and proceeds to tell you that you have been blacklisted for fraudulent activity. Why? I don’t know. But this company seems to be very deceiving and misleading, and perhaps using people to gain profit for themselves. Also, if it was going to blacklist me why didn’t it do it before I tried to redeem my earned rewards? Further proves my point on how they are using people to complete surveys and leaving you nothing for you. I had high hopes for this app, only for it to be ruined by the people behind it. ### 1/5 — iPOLL IS TRASH *2019-05-03, version 3.16.1* SCAM!! I earned over $30 in rewards when I was suddenly locked out of my account. I emailed the help desk and I was told my name looked fake. When it’s my legal full name... which I explained. The last response I received from them was stating my account was indefinitely suspended and I could no longer use their services (i.e. collect my rewards). Other than someone thinking my name is fake, I was giving no other reasoning as to why my account appeared “fraudulent”. It’s so beyond ridiculous that it’s now funny. Upon reading other reviews from unhappy users, it’s evident I am not the only one experiencing the horrible customer service. DO NOT USE! ### 1/5 — SCAM APP! *2019-04-03, version 3.16.0* I would give it -5 stars if I could. At first you earn some decent money but then suddenly you stop qualifying for surveys or they say this survey isn’t a good fit for you right after complete the survey.... called customer service (says all lines are busy and to stay on the line but forces you to leave a voicemail) with your email and everything and they will call you back. (Pretty good set up for not getting a call back) also I should mention that you have to call them because they don’t have a customer service email. After about 15 or more phone calls and messages (wish I was exaggerating) they email me and say they don’t know a record of anything and I couldn’t remember the date because they got back to me 2 weeks after the first call. I ask them to just fund me the money I have in there and they ignored me I emailed the same thread asking again and I haven’t heard anything. This was in the end of 2018. I still have 17$ on there but can’t cash out because there is a limit of 25$ but I “don’t qualify “ for surveys that I try. So basically if you want to waste your time and energy thinking you are going to make money. This app is the one for you. Waste all that and you get nothing but time killed. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Not a scam *2021-10-27, version 3.28.0* Let me start with is: I don’t write reviews for anything. However, I know what it’s like trying to find something that works to make an extra buck, and this app really does pay you. Not a lot, but it does. I’ve cashed out over $150 over time, and that’s being very inconsistent. Sometimes the surveys are frustrating but I’m just glad I found a simple survey app that actually pays out. ### 5/5 — It’s not a scam... *2020-04-25, version 3.19.5* I’ve had this for almost 2 years now. Although the payments are meager, it builds up over time and it does require some patience. Not qualifying just means that the companies are looking for a certain type of demographic and you may or may not qualify. I’ve cashed out over $100 dollars now and that’s usually over 2 months if you’re patient enough. There is a browser version of this app if you want to have an easier time taking the surveys. Along with that, if you’re faithfully taking surveys and being patient with it, the algorithm starts giving you surveys that cater to your interests and the money starts increasing. Just recently I did a video game survey that took about 20 min and they awarded me $5.50! So just be patient. 2 things that I want to mention for suggestions to the developers: 1. Allow phone users to change the orientation for certain surveys to allow for better viewing and access. 2. Provide some small rewards for at least attempting the survey (like 10 cents or something to make it feel like you didn’t waste your time if you’re not qualified). ### 5/5 — Good if you give it time! *2019-08-22, version 3.16.2* This app has helped me so much a lot of times when I need extra cash on the side. It does take time to get good at it though. I’ve had no problems with this app at all. It takes a little while to get to the $25 in order to pay out via PayPal but what do you expect for a survey app? I like this one the most compared to others, it has less glitches, and I get more opportunities for surveys with iPoll. Don’t change a thing! ### 5/5 — Best thing that ever happen to me! *2019-03-08, version 3.15.7* I have been using IPoll since the summer of 2018. I wish I had found it earlier. Doing surveys to get paid honestly is cool. Who don’t want to get paid when their bored or even in the train?! IPoll is the best way to make money if your young and not working or even extra cash for yourself. Sometimes you may not be able to qualify for a survey and that’s alright. Their system will have glitches. But it doesn’t stop you from trying other surveys within the next hour or the next day. Very friendly user interface, it’s a very clean, smooth running app. I mean the website is good too, it’s just hard to find an app that tells you what you need to know, plain and simple! Especially on survey apps, you basically want to know one thing when you glance at it and that’s, of course ‘how much money have you made so far.’ This app, you open it...BOOM, first thing you see ‘how much you’ve made. Everything else is off to the side in drop downs. I’ve had this app for several months and have had 2 crashes and both times, they had it fixed before I had a chance to report it.
