*2020-10-26, version 2.1.15*

Desperately needs an update

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore

*2020-10-24, version 2.1.15*

Should be removed from store to prevent people from buying the hardware. Maybe the devs would fix it then.

### 1/5 — Terrible waste of money

*2020-10-23, version 2.1.15*

App just crashes before you can set anything up, so the controller is just a very expensive flashing piece of plastic. Sending it back.

### 1/5 — Crashes Every Time.

*2020-10-11, version 2.1.15*

Like everyone else says it is not working with iOS 14.Crashes every single time you select it. Can no longer be programmed. The keypad still operates, but I can’t edit change or add stations. This device is entirely too expensive to be bricked this soon after purchasing.

The silence from the developer here is really disturbing.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I agree this is Junk

*2022-11-14, version 2.1.15*

Would never buy it again

### 1/5 — Updated review

*2021-01-27, version 2.1.15*

Had this for a while now (my old review is the only 4 star one) and it used to work ok but spent an hour trying to make it work, just doesn’t. Flashes all sorts of lovely colours but are all meaningless. Mine flashes lovely and white but has zero effect on the speaker. Everything looks perfect in the app, latest firmware, right speaker all that. Help docs are useless , just tells you what happens in their ideal world.

Don’t buy one, you’re better of burning your money. Absolutely livid at the rip off this is, the app should be removed from the App Store. It’s disgraceful this is a total waste of money

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2021-01-04, version 2.1.15*

Doesn’t work on the latest iOS. Back button at top left and info button at top right are not touchable. Useless junk.

### 1/5 — Can I Swear? Not Worth The F$&kn’ Money

*2020-12-29, version 2.1.15*

Its a $5 piece of plastic, nothing special at all. I am hoping to return this thing. It will not connect after at least 50 tries. It’s a challenge now and I’m afraid I have a $160 piece of garbage.

### 1/5 — Waste of Money/Time

*2020-11-13, version 2.1.15*

Was excited for this to work but crashes every time I try to set it up..returning it! Come development team fix it!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-11-03, version 2.1.15*

I can’t get it to set up. Phone app crashes. Tablet app gets through the install and the clicker still doesn’t function. I tried hard reset from the instructions and now it won’t even get halfway through the install. It’s a piece of trash.

### 1/5 — Very unhappy

*2020-11-03, version 2.1.15*

I am unable to use the remote as it’s not compatible with IOS 14. Nothing seems to be happening with a fix so a expensive piece of plastic sitting doing nothing.

It’s highly unethical that they are continuing to sell the unit knowing full well it’s unusable for the majority of people.

### 1/5 — The Worst

*2020-11-02, version 2.1.15*

Purchased an iPort express audio keypad to control a Sonos Amp. Has never worked. App continues to crash when trying to setup. Obviously developers are incompetent because they cannot get it to work. Don’t waste your money on any of their products.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-10-28, version 2.1.15*

The app doesn’t work with iOS 14 and the iPort itself doesn’t work with the latest version of Sonos. So a completely useless of expensive plastic! If you’re thinking of buying one - don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — SCAM!

*2020-10-27, version 2.1.15*

Support will Not reply and product was abandoned yet still sold.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works with iOS 26.3

*2026-02-21, version 2.1.15*

Still functioning. Firmware was automatically updated to 14.0.22

### 5/5 — IT WORKS ！

*2021-05-09, version 2.1.15*

Must have if you have Sonos. I am so tired of scrolling thru apps on my phone to turn vol up or down. Can ask scroll through favorites but I have found I need to limit it to just a few favorites or I just get annoyed at switch time. So far any problems have been fixed by iOS updates not app updates. The app is just for setup. It is the physical button that is pure gold.

### 5/5 — Crash

*2020-10-27, version 2.1.15*

Crash crash

### 5/5 — Great addition to Sonos

*2018-01-09, version 2.1*

This is what I have been waiting for to make my system awesome for our house. It is a great addition, easy to control and makes the home system truly awesome.

### 4/5 — Mine works with iOS 14.1

*2020-10-31, version 2.1.15*

Been loving these buttons for years. The iOS problems does not seem to the developers and if you looked at there support page you could see they were not idle.

### 4/5 — Love the Control keypad

*2017-10-12, version 2.0.7*

I purchase several of these around my home where I have Sonos speakers. To not have to run to IPad or speaker itself to change volume is a great unit. I mounted the one piece with screws with the other supplied holder I placed in my restrooms near shower so I can have unit close. My issue with these is they are not seen from IPad to IPad. I have to install them all over again if I just so happen to b using different IPad when I am listening to music upstairs verse downstairs. IPort would love if it worked like other apps such as Sonos. Once it see network it is on I have my speakers and music no matter the iPad.

### 3/5 — Needs an update for iPhone X and up

*2025-06-06, version 2.1.15*

Buttons at the top of the screen are blocked by the front facing camera of the iPhone X-16 models.
I assume this app is no longer being supported unfortunately.

### 3/5 — Does not work with iOS14

*2020-09-28, version 2.1.15*

This doe snot work with iOS 14. App quits on selecting iPort. Please fix

### 2/5 — Worthless after iOS14 - Please Update!!!!

*2020-09-29, version 2.1.15*

I bought an iPort xPRESS and can’t even use it bc the app doesn’t work with iOS 14 - ridiculous!

### 2/5 — Needs multi-room controls

*2017-05-06, version 1.1*

Iport Xpress is really promising for Sonos control and in time I hope will get much better, but the current early version of the firmware completely disables the iPort when the Sonos zone you are trying to control is grouped with any zone. The product is only usable for standalone single Sonos zones. For any Sonos user with more than 1 unit, this is severely crippling.

The firmware needs to be fixed so that the remote operates exactly like the physical buttons on the Sonos unit. When grouped, the iPort remote should control the volume of the sub-zone only (not the whole group) and send play/pause/FF commands to the group master.

The one divergence from the replication of the physical buttons could be an OPTION in the firmware to have the volume control the whole group instead of the sub-zone, but this should be a toggle-able option not the default functionality. The default should be to replicate the physical Sonos buttons.
