For the headache, I’ll use a regular browser. ### 1/5 — Log in issue *2024-06-27, version 2.0* I installed the required certificate for the app, but it still states that “this connection is not private” ### 1/5 — Horrible Platform *2024-05-09* I’m not usually compelled to write reviews, but the Army needs all the harsh criticism it can get, so hopefully senior leaders and civilian workers can figure their lives out. The idea of the app is about the only good thing that comes from the app. It’s a launch platform that takes you to a webpage. Of course since it’s a government website, you’re promoted with an “unsecured website” message. Safari and Google will not let you proceed even if you accept the risk. This app is utterly useless. ### 1/5 — IPPS-A site crashes immediately after logging in *2024-02-27* I’ve tried both DS and CAC login on my phone and both options result in immediate website crash after logging in. I can get into most other army websites no problem, just not ippsa. The same happens when using any browser app as well ### 1/5 — Who created this? *2024-02-25* Whoever team invented this need to be fired!! New update just tells me log out successfully every time i log in using my phone. I really don’t understand how they have millions of dollars but they make the worst services. ### 1/5 — Really?! A “launch platform?!” *2024-02-05* When I saw that the app had finally fixed the DS Logon error so you could access IPPS-A on this app I was hopeful. No such luck. This thing is exactly what it say it is…a launch platform where you are simply taken to the IPPS-A website. And what’s worse, when you go to the PAID section to check your leave, you are taken to the windows version of it which is absolutely useless on your phone unless you zoom in to see it! What is the reason you guys can’t just make a working app? Wait, let me guess…it’s too hard with security features and data will be stored somewhere else, blah, blah, blah. I fail to believe that the Army can’t at least hire a contractor to make an app that is secure to go to on on your smart device instead of being taken to the actual website. No one better mention this as a success on their OER/NCOER. The two factor authentication fails every time. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling it and nothing works. Tried to download certificates but get a 404 error code. There is no value in it and the screenshots on the app download page misrepresent what you get. What a waste. The army is so worried about security of UNCLASSIFIED communication channels that it prohibits any actual work from getting done. On the upside I called the support and got to meet a guy from India ### 1/5 — Not Good *2024-10-02* Only really allows you to submit for leave. Doesn’t let you see your STP. Doesn’t let SMs see their PPWs. Doesn’t allow for a lot of self service actions you’re able to do on a computer. Also have to go round and round just to login. The last update said the trust certificate issue was fixed but not on my iPhone apparently cuz I still have to click through the warning pages like 8 times then hit refresh just to get it to load. If nothing changes with the next update I’m definitely uninstalling the app ### 1/5 — Who is behind this app? *2024-07-31, version 2.0* Why everything the Army has is really bad? Lowest bidder gets the contract? I was only using this app because the few things that actually works was looking at your promotions points sheet but now is gone. Love being able to complete a leave form on the app on my phone but needs to be easier to log onto. My Apple iPhone doesn’t like the security and doesn’t want to let me through. I have to try multiple time. Also you should be able to print from the leave forms an actual form with form number, signatures, etc. I needed to provide a copy of my leave form to a travel office at the airport and it was very hard to find something with my name to present. I look forward to future improvements and features! Thank you for all your hard work. ### 3/5 — Fairly new system *2023-01-29, version 1.2.3* This is oracle system is not new to the market however this design is new to the Army. HR professional in the are Army were used to manual submission of paperwork were it has a 99% chance of being stuck on someone’s inbox for weeks, months or sometimes a full year without action. This is the solution the Army has to ensure Soldiers have visibility of their career. This system has definitely some improvement to make. One I can recommend is the cross platform compatibility. Some soldiers are used to the IOS and some are used to android systems. That’s is just the handheld example, now when it comes to laptops or deskstop, again some people are used to windows, Mac, chromium or Linux systems. So please fine tune your cross platform compatibility, not all Soldiers likes to use windows system to conduct army transactions. ### 2/5 — Almost *2023-09-05* This app would literally make everyone’s lives a million times easier if it worked properly. Great idea, poor execution. Haven’t seen an update since ‘Nam. It’s hard to believe with all the funding in the world they can’t figure out how to create a fully functioning app. Hope it’s fixed soon. ### 2/5 — Made by the army… *2023-04-25* Of course it’s another failed app from the army. Basically have to have a ds login which is okay by me, but what’s the point of the app if it just send you to the website anyways ? Doesn't really make much sense maybe one day the army will get with the program.
