Before you travel, iProov.me enables you to carry out an effortless, secure remote verification of your identity that links your passport, your face and your ticket together. This enables you to use your face as your ticket to travel with Eurostar. On the day, simply head to the designated SmartCheck lane at St. Pancras station, for a quick, ticketless experience. You’ll only need to present your passport once, to the French border police. You can then go about your day and enjoy your trip. To get started you need to complete a one-time identity check to create a trusted, reusable digital credential. You’ll need to scan your passport and to take a selfie-style video capture with your mobile device. iProov.me is an opt-in, consent-based biometric face authentication app, which puts you control of your data and assures privacy. iProov.me uses the latest encryption techniques, anonymises and pseudonymises the data and captures only the necessary personally identifiable information to verify an individual. This ensures the enrolled individual can then be granted access at the physical location. It does require that the user understand the document they are using. The NFC chip is commonly located on the back page of the passport. Holding an NFC device to a biometric passport logo Is a common mistake. This will likely result in the failure of the identity verification process. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-01-11* Not functional, cannot scan chip - waste of time ### 1/5 — If I could give this a zero *2024-12-27* Absolutely terrible app. I have an iPhone 13 (no case) and an American passport (no case) and no matter how many times I tried this which was more than 20. It didn’t work. It worked just fine on another entry. I needed to make so it it’s not my passport nor my phone.. Whether I enter the booking reference or scan the barcode. Perhaps it doesn’t support apostrophes in surnames - and we are in 2024. The app should certainly support apostrophes in surnames although we've found that some phone keyboards use a different characters for the apostrophe than the one that was used at the time of booking.
