### 2/5 — 2025 and there is still this problem?

*2025-06-05*

Distortion! I see others had this problem years ago, and now I have it. I am only giving it the second star because it was good before it had the distortion problem.

### 3/5 — Audio crackle / distortion on IPad Pro iOS 18.4 in standalone mode

*2025-04-09*

Audio crackle and distorted sounds, every preset and parameter. Most likely due to sample rate, but cannot change or fix. It works fine in 44.1 so load it in AudioShare or other apps that enable sample rate change.

### 2/5 — What happened to saving patches?

*2024-10-26*

Without the ability to save patches after all the parameter tweaking it kind of defeats the purpose of using it unless you’re ok with presets. Seems like a glitch that’s been part of the app for a few years now. At least it is for me.
As soon as that’s fixed, then it’s 5 stars.

### 2/5 — Abandonware

*2024-08-18, version 1.35*

It was never fully right. Deleted now. Pity.

### 2/5 — Modulation issues

*2024-07-18, version 1.35*

Modulation issues abound in this app! Seems like whatever was done to one sound in the mod matrix appears on other sound banks selected… basically it doesn’t default to the chosen sound. Very frustrating! Also, it’s been three years of this iso app with no updates.

### 2/5 — No AUv3

*2023-12-12, version 1.35*

Considering Logic for iPad Pro requires AUv3. I just purchased this and feel a bit burned by this app as it won’t run natively within Logic. How about an update ?

### 4/5 — Great sounds

*2023-08-17*

Great sounds.

Please: get on with AUv3 support. I’d love to be able to use this in Logic.

### 2/5 — Sounds good, but changes audio quality of AirPods Max

*2023-03-04*

Whenever I open this app with my AirPods Max on, the quality of the audio coming from my AirPods turns into some low quality, distorted mono signal that doesn’t just apply to the in-app audio, but the audio coming from the whole system. The only way to fix it is to force close the app, and then restart bluetooth and reconnect.

### 3/5 — No Auv3

*2022-12-14, version 1.35*

It’s a pity that such an amazing sounding synth has no auv3 option

### 2/5 — AUv3 PLEASE!!!!!

*2022-10-13*

Neglecting iOS customers… You are fast becoming the Alesis of the iOS world as far as supporting your product users needs go.😔

### 2/5 — Looks great, sounds great, but broken!

*2022-03-21*

“Save New Preset” function does not work. This makes the app useless to me as I cannot create a sound, modify it and save as a new sound. Can only “Overwrite”, ugh… Wrote product support 2 weeks ago, no reply… Needs AUv3 upgrade anyway. Do not buy.

iPad Pro 12.9 inch, 5th generation
Software 15.3.1

### 4/5 — Love the synth but no AUv3 support.

*2022-02-25*

The only thing this synth is missing in AUv3 support.

If it had that it would be perfect.

### 4/5 — Migrate to AUv’3 please

*2021-03-16*

I love everything about this program but please migrate this to AUv’3 technology please

### 3/5 — auv3

*2021-03-09, version 1.35*

c’mon guys.show some customer appreciation (?)

### 2/5 — Gutted

*2020-12-30, version 1.35*

I just got this to find it near on impossible to use it within the BeatMaker 3 app with out having to go between the to apps n then for it to crash I going try get refund I think other than that the sounds are pukka

### 4/5 — Vector digital classic

*2020-12-29*

I love this for what is and the unique mod possibilities. It can be so much more than a cool semi Cheesy 80s synth I hope everyone digs. Cheers

### 3/5 — NEEDS AUV3 UPDATE

*2020-12-21, version 1.35*

As a stand alone it sounds great, but to be actually useful in any way these days, you need to update iProphet to AUv3 in order to use in other hosts, im sure more folk would be interested too.

Why have you implemented AUv3 in iSEM but missed it in both the iProphet and iMini apps?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Abandoned

*2026-05-22, version 1.35*

Not updated for years. The midi implementation does not work. The app should just be removed. I’m surprised Arturia would want this to still be available when the midi is so broken.

### 1/5 — No longer useable

*2026-03-12, version 1.35*

I really don’t think this has been updated for many years. Many of the presets are chock-full of artifacts, buzzing in the background which renders this once interesting keyboard useless.

### 1/5 — Wish you could save patches

*2025-08-07*

This is a fantastic synth, however without the ability to save patches after all the parameter tweaking it kind of defeats the purpose of using it unless you’re ok with presets. Seems like a glitch that’s been part of the app for a few years now. At least it is for me.
As soon as that’s fixed, then it’s 5 stars.

### 1/5 — Seems Arturia abandoned this and other iOS apps

*2025-03-20*

Abandonware.

### 1/5 — Functionally Dead

*2023-10-30*

I wanted to like this synth, but lack of AUv3 means that this app is functionally dead.

### 1/5 — AUV3 support please!!!

*2023-05-26, version 1.35*

Hi guys,
Love the synth but really needs to have AUV3 plugin support to be any real use. I purchased iSEM, iMini and iProhet and only iSEM has auv3.. with the release of Logic Pro for ipad will you consider updating these to work as plugins?
Thanks

### 1/5 — Battery Hog

*2022-11-24*

Eats the iPad battery, no way to turn it off! And there’s no sequencer! Not worth it, even if free.

### 1/5 — No audiounitsv3 support

*2021-08-31*

There is an epidemic of synthesizers not being auv3 compatible and thus being severely limited as options for music production on the iPad. Please fix this. Synth sounds great but it doesn’t play well with anything else.

### 1/5 — Still an unused, unfinished & disappointing app

*2021-01-12, version 1.35*

Update: 12th Jan 2021 - I cannot believe that these issues still remain after waiting for so long (approx 3 years) since my original review! App deleted once more, as it is still unusable.

This produces the great sounds of the mighty Prophet VS, but this rendition has issues and missing items, including the all important velocity and aftertouch modulation. These really make this synth come alive and I cannot understand why Arturia have left them out on the IOS version, as they have implemented it properly on their VSTi. Instead, they have assigned accelerometer X & Y as sources in the modulation matrix. Why anyone would want to tilt their iPad while trying to playing the keyboard at the same time is a mystery to me!

Along with 2 show stopping bugs - hanging notes produced when sliding up/down the virtual keyboard while playing chords and all my presets I had been building up, magically disappearing, I am very disappointed and cannot really use or recommend this app in its present state. I really hope that Arturia can fix the problems and give it velocity & aftertouch capability and it will be a 5 star app - just like iSEM is.

I have noticed in the latest release, that Retronyms are now encouraging us to tell them about issues found. However, some time before this update I contacted both Retronyms and Arturia about these issues. Even though both of them responded that they are aware that there are problems with this app, unfortunately they have not been fixed.

### 1/5 — No longer working

*2020-12-16, version 1.33*

iOS 14 killed this, great synth, no longer working, don’t waste your money until it’s updated...if it ever is

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Jekyll and Hyde

*2026-03-02*

Bought this “abandonware” after spotting a note that suggested running this in AEM after hitting the “high quality” button in AEM Settings. (Thanks Marty) Night and Day.

### 5/5 — 5 years after the last review I see…

*2025-02-08*

This app is fine. It has nice loud, authentic sounds. I’ve been using this for a few years now. 5 stars no complaints.

### 5/5 — Fantastic. But please consider AU support!

*2023-05-19, version 1.35*

Love this app but it would be so awesome if you added AU support especially with Logic Pro coming to iPad. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Totally addictive

*2021-03-09, version 1.35*

Computer Music magazine said of the iProphet: “We can’t get enough of it.... Hard to put down.” It’s true. This app is totally addictive. Amazing, beautiful, evolving sounds. You can hammer dud notes into it and it still sounds like a film soundtrack. Lose yourself for hours just playing it. Brilliant. All it’s missing is Auv3.

### 5/5 — I love it

*2017-06-30, version 1.31*

I would like to see Arturia develop more great apps for iOS like they do for masOS. They only have 4 for iOS. I have all of them. I want more!

### 5/5 — Another Arturia Great

*2017-01-05, version 1.3*

Very impressed with this app. I think it just may be my favorite yet by Arturia. It has a very clear and unique sound, and will no doubt become a hefty component in my recordings.

### 5/5 — Wonderful addition to any synth collection - a must have!!

*2017-01-01, version 1.3*

Really great sounding synth, an absolute steal at 4.99. Lots of presets but easy to make your own unique sounds. Great for evolving ambient pads. Arturia killed it on this one

### 5/5 — Great

*2016-08-08, version 1.3*

Sounds amazing and functionality has been restored for saving user presets (had to restore iPad and reinstall but worth it as the sound is amazing).

### 5/5 — Good stuff.

*2016-04-12, version 1.3*

Enjoy this one a lot.

### 5/5 — Arturia collection V

*2016-01-31, version 1.3*

I have three of the five classic synths made by Arturia and I enjoy using them very much ... when is the ARP 2600 or the Roland Jupiter going to be available in the iTunes Store ? If they were available they would be purchased, and with the 104 hour course to accompany them
