## What is IPSDI Exposure Tracker?

Welcome to the new IPSDI Exposure Tracker.

Developed by the International Public Safety Data Institute (IPSDI), a leading research and training organization dedicated to advancing public safety through data science, this app provides firefighters with powerful tools to track their individual exposures and keep a record of them should they ever need it.

Exposure Tracker delivers a simplified, modern experience, focusing on the exposure itself. Not every incident results in an exposure, and exposures don’t just occur during emergency calls.

If you were an NFORS Career Diary user, thank you for being an early adopter. If you are new to exposure tracking, thank you for taking the step to pre-plan for yourself, and document your exposures.

## Key features

- Track individual exposures
- Record incident details
- Simplified modern interface
- Focus on exposure events

### 1/5 — Great idea but useless if I cannot sign-in

*2026-07-31*

Created an account on iOS back in April, but the app has never allowed me to sign in since. I reached out to customer service and exchanged a few emails before they completely ghosted me. Followed up again four days ago on July 26 (via both the website contact form and the original email thread from April) and still haven't received a response.

### 5/5 — Much better!

*2026-06-28*

Huge improvement from Career Diary. Easy to use and straightforward.

**Developer response:** Hi BMiller199578. Thank you so much, glad you're loving the new app.

### 5/5 — New and Improved!

*2026-03-05*

Such a better experience with all the improvements they made to the Exposure app!

**Developer response:** Hi Fire-PIO,

Appreciate the kind words, we put a lot of work into this one and it's great to hear it's paying off for you.

### 5/5 — New and Improved!

### 5/5 — So much better!

*2025-11-19*

Huge improvement from the Career Diary app. Only takes a minute to log an exposure now and is very easy to use.

### 5/5 — A+

*2025-11-13*

Great update! Love the new app

**Developer response:** Hi Lyss01,

Thanks so much, glad you're loving the new app.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2024-01-03*

Thank you for creating this app. I am logging every fire and it is awesome to see everything completed in detail.

**Developer response:** Hi FlaketTrev! Thank you for the feedback. We recently rebuilt the app from the ground up, and version 2.0 is easier to use than ever before. Please give it a try and let us know what you think.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2023-08-24*

Apple iPhone is the most popular phone in America. This app doesn’t work with iPhone. It’s not safari capable to even set it up. I like the idea but how do I recommend this to my crew when it doesn’t work?

**Developer response:** Hi Lokwxi,

Thanks for the feedback. We've rebuilt the app from the ground up, and version 2.0 includes a brand new iOS app you can download right from the App Store. Please give it another try and let us know what you think.

### 4/5 — Great, UI a touch buggy

*2023-03-09*

Really helpful app, great idea. Well done. My only issue with the app is the UI can be somewhat buggy with parts of the app rendering off screen

**Developer response:** Hi Arazenk,

Thanks for the kind words, and for flagging the rendering issues. We've rebuilt the app from the ground up, and version 2.0 fixes a lot of those UI bugs. Please give it another try and let us know if anything still looks off.

### 2/5 — I like the idea, poorly executed

*2022-12-16*

I am 22 years into my career, would have loved to have something like this when I was much younger. Downloaded the app, doesn’t seem to like the new iPhone 14 with the island at the top, have to tap buttons near the top of the screen several times before they respond. Won’t let me enter data without getting the Chief to sign up first… not sure it’s worth his time to get the department added if the app doesn’t work well… a catch 22 I guess. Will check back after the next update, maybe it will be better.

**Developer response:** Hi Axeman20,

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, and for sticking with it. We've rebuilt the app from the ground up, and version 2.0 fixes the tap issues on all recent iPhones. We've also made it a personal tool, so you can track your own exposures right away without waiting on anyone else to sign up first. Give it another try and let us know what you think.
