## What is Ipsidy?

Ipsidy mobile offers biometric, multi-factor authentication that lets users control their identities and authorize transactions before, not after, they occur. Ipsidy helps enterprises and governments verify and trust that the person on the other side of a digital transaction has been duly authenticated. From the convenience of the user’s mobile phone, Ipsidy authenticates across these factors:

•	Something You Know – PIN
•	Something You Are – Biometric Facial Image and Data

Ipsidy supports authentication of identity and electronic transactions across a broad range of verticals.
For each event, Ipsidy presents the user with a simple “Confirm/Deny” request to their mobile phone with data elements unique to that event. Users approve everyday transactions on their own device with a simple ‘selfie’ that authenticates their identity. Ipsidy converts the selfie into a biometric facial template that is matched against a previously enrolled reference template.
As a trusted mobile-multi-factor identity application, Ipsidy enhances the security of physical and digital transactions and events, reduces account takeover and ultimately helps all parties know who they are doing business with.
Use the Ipsidy app with an Ipsidy out-of-the-box identity solution:
•	VERIFIED by Ipsidy includes an enterprise portal where agents can trigger biometric authentication of customers as well as everyday transactions such as account changes, account transfers and other service events.
•	ACCESS by Ipsidy offers biometric authentication of residents, visitors attempting entry into a building or controlled area, using Bluetooth beacons to trigger the identity authentication event.
