## What is iQIF?

Dissatisfied with the official Quicken iOS apps and only need to enter receipts on-the-go? Looking for a way to enter GnuCash transactions on the go? iQIF is perfect for you — now with support for importing .gnucash XML Account exports, and a brand-new, modern redesign built entirely in SwiftUI.

iQIF lets you effortlessly create transactions on your iOS device and, when ready, export them as a QIF file that can be imported by Quicken, GnuCash, or any other money-management app. It is NOT a bloated pocket version of a full finance app — it's simply a fast mobile interface for creating transactions (it does not sync both ways with Quicken). Please note that your desktop finance application must be able to import QIF files.

KNOWN ISSUES:
PLEASE VERIFY YOUR VERSION OF QUICKEN CAN IMPORT QIF FILES BEFORE PURCHASING. Some newer versions of Quicken have deprecated the QIF format in favor of the proprietary OFX format. Does NOT work with Quicken Essentials.

*** PLEASE CONTACT ME PERSONALLY WITH PROBLEMS BEFORE GIVING UP ON iQIF — I can't reach out to people who leave a critical review, but in many cases I can fix the issue or help you work around it. ***

### 5/5 — Sehr gut

*2026-08-13*

Geht problemlos. Auch die neue Version ist super geworden.

### 4/5 — Import options could be better

*2026-08-07*

App works well, but it would be MUCH better if it were possible to import from the Files app on the device, instead of having to side load it using iTunes.

### 5/5 — Easy to use update

*2026-07-29*

The new interface is clean and easy to use. I've been using iQIF for years now and it make recording expenses simple. The new method of searching for Payee doesn't seem to get hung up as the previous version did occasionally which makes using the app even simpler

**Developer response:** 2026.4 just released today should address the Accounts search/selection issue. Thank you for your patience!

### 5/5 — Sehr gut

*2026-07-24*

### 1/5 — Doesn’t import with .gnucash files

*2026-04-01*

This was useless to me. It would not import a gnu cash file. Blank screen when choosing that option.

### 1/5 — No Import of Categories via iTunes

*2025-08-27*

Seems that the App isnt uptodate, Import like categories is over ITunes App and not langer avaible

### 5/5 — Great app, indispensable for this Quicken traveler

*2025-06-19*

Easy to enter transactions when away from my desktop, never fails to import into my legacy Quicken. Absolutely indispensable. If you need QIF for import, you have to have this app!!!
