### 4/5 — Import options could be better

*2026-08-07*

App works well, but it would be MUCH better if it were possible to import from the Files app on the device, instead of having to side load it using iTunes.

### 4/5 — Gute Lösung zum mobilen Sammeln von Buchungen

*2026-07-23*

### 4/5 — Indispensable niche app

*2024-12-30*

But has an issue with memorized transactions changing Account of new transaction. Split transactions are handled awkwardly, again because of old memorized transactions. Account or Amount should not be changed by old memorized transactions

### 4/5 — Some good features

*2023-08-08, version 2022.4*

I use iQIF when I’m away from my computer. When I return home I export my purchases to GnuCash. It does this pretty well. My issue is that I have created categories in GnuCash that are not in iQIF. If is not overly clear how to get these into iQIF.

### 4/5 — Great for travel, email slow

*2022-06-11*

This app is great for keeping track of my transactions when I’m on travel for work. My only problem is when I export the transactions and email them to myself, I never know how long it takes before I actually receive the qif file. (Currently waiting at least 30 minutes for my last export. )

### 2/5 — Too simple

*2021-11-24*

The app gives very little customizing once you import categories, accounts etc. For my use I only need to enter transactions from 6 accounts. Credit cards, cash, debit etc. But once you import accounts you cannot delete ones not being used. Same goes for categories. Also seemingly no way to enter split transactions. Once transactions are exported everything is exported into a single file. Quicken 2007 (yes 2007) does not accept multiple accounts importing from single qif file. This app will likely be a bust for me as in all of its simplicity it misses the mark on very basic stuff.

### 5/5 — Great little piece of Software

*2021-09-07*

I use it every day. It's easy to use and very well thought out.

### 5/5 — Perfekt

*2021-04-23*

### 5/5 — Time saver!!

*2020-12-09*

Very useful to enter transactions on the fly (for ex cash). I use it with gnucash and it works perfectly as you can import (initially) your accounts tree into iQIF and export transactions back into gnucash with corresponding accounts recognised like a charm. User interface is very well done and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Super Amazing!

*2020-01-05*

I use this in conjunction with CheckBook Pro. Especially useful since all my accounts, categories and payees can be easily imported to iQIF. Love it!

### 3/5 — Comma for amount-input in Germany

*2019-10-31*

Phone is Set to Germany defaults
With version 3.10 it‘s nearly impossible to enter values in the amount-field.
Always the decimal-point is forced, entered values are not translated: they remain zero...

### 4/5 — Frank

*2019-08-11*

Works effectively for all its intended to do except for directions on how to upload data from iPhone to Quicken.
Instructions should be spelled out, step be step.

### 5/5 — Great companion for GnuCASH

*2019-05-23*

I use this to track cash transactions during the day, then import them back into GnuCASH. It works great. In addition, I asked for a change in the way a default was set to save me a few extra clicks during data capture, and it was rolled out within a week. Sweet!

### 3/5 — Sehr gute App mit Potenzial

*2018-11-23*

### 5/5 — Still great, but...

*2018-10-31*

While I still love the app, memos are not imported into gnucash unless BOTH memo and split memo are entered. This includes when there is no real split.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t import with .gnucash files

*2026-04-01*

This was useless to me. It would not import a gnu cash file. Blank screen when choosing that option.

### 1/5 — No Import of Categories via iTunes

*2025-08-27*

Seems that the App isnt uptodate, Import like categories is over ITunes App and not langer avaible

### 1/5 — It does not import/export to apple devices

*2020-01-20*

Since it relied on a feature apple removed from iTunes 2 years ago its impossible to import or export any of its data to a GNUCash program running on a Mac.

**Developer response:** While you can still get the files off the device the old way using Finder, now a share sheet can be used which will allow the QIF file to be transferred via a number of means including Dropbox, iCloud Drive, email, etc.

### 1/5 — Fairly useless

*2019-05-31*

Doesn’t sync transactions from qif file so you have no way when out and about to know if you’re about to enter a transaction that will cause accounts to go negative.

If it synced transactions I would say this app is worth paying for.

### 1/5 — Crashes after update

*2018-04-22*

Latest update crashes when selecting a stored payee.. can only create transactions for new payees

**Developer response:** A fix (3.6.2) is in review. A work around in the meantime is to tap on the 'Payee' label at the far left which will pop a searchable list of Payees (like accounts, categories, tags) that you can use to add a Payee to a transaction. I deeply apologize for the inconvenience.

### 1/5 — Can't export QIF

*2017-06-16*

The app is quite simple and easy to use, apart from 2, very important, aspects:

1) it's quite a pain to import accounts, you need to use iTunes, and as a Windows user, I try to avoid it.

2) I can't export my QIF file! When I hit Export, the app crashes!

### 1/5 — Export does not work

*2016-07-11, version 3.2.2*

I tried to import a file from iQif and the values were all zero when I imported into my Banktivity

### 1/5 — Useless

*2014-04-03, version 3.0.8*

Since the last update I can no longer import into Quicken on my Mac. Makes this app useless.

### 1/5 — No customer support...

*2013-12-19, version 3.0.5*

Enough said.

### 1/5 — Bad update

*2013-10-28, version 3.0.2*

Date picker disappears every time you remove your finger from the screen and the calculator picker covers the number pad.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Sehr gut

*2026-08-13*

Geht problemlos. Auch die neue Version ist super geworden.

### 5/5 — Easy to use update

*2026-07-29*

The new interface is clean and easy to use. I've been using iQIF for years now and it make recording expenses simple. The new method of searching for Payee doesn't seem to get hung up as the previous version did occasionally which makes using the app even simpler

**Developer response:** 2026.4 just released today should address the Accounts search/selection issue. Thank you for your patience!

### 5/5 — Sehr gut

*2026-07-24*

### 5/5 — Great app, indispensable for this Quicken traveler

*2025-06-19*

Easy to enter transactions when away from my desktop, never fails to import into my legacy Quicken. Absolutely indispensable. If you need QIF for import, you have to have this app!!!

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2024-09-23*

Thanks Eric for such good utility app

### 5/5 — Works

*2023-02-02*

The default gnucash app doesn't work well, and I just dont have time to download the source and debug it. This app works well if you need to add your transactions to gnucash but dont want to wait till you get home.

### 5/5 — If you think it might be good for you, just get it

*2022-02-05*

The developer is super responsive and always wanting to make his app better here. The app is nearly perfect for my use case - as my mobile companion to GNUCash. I’ve been using it for a couple of years now and spotted a couple bugs and Eric squashed them very quickly.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2022-01-08*

Thank you for this!
Absolutely perfect for jotting down transactions when out and about to import into MS Money.
