## What is Iqra?

Iqra is a reading library for the Holy Quran, Duas, Ziyaraat, Sahifa and Hadith.

The app is built around reading. In supported texts, line-by-line translation places the meaning directly below each Arabic line, so you can follow what you are reading without losing your place.

Switch between English, Urdu, Roman Urdu and Gujarati where that content is available. Roman Urdu and Gujarati are built into the reader, with Gujarati support included with Khoja readers in mind.

Search the library, Quran and Hadith. Browse by topic, search inside texts, and filter Hadith results by book or topic.

Save complete readings as favourites. Bookmark individual lines, add notes, return to recent reads and share a full reading, a single line or a Hadith entry.

Set up the reader with your preferred text size, typeface, spacing and theme. Use light mode, dark mode, system colours or AMOLED black. Swipe between reading views, open readings in browser-like tabs and keep the screen awake while reading.

The core library downloads once and then works offline. Quran editions and Tajweed are managed as separate downloads. Reading insights show your sessions, reading time, current streak, completed readings and most-read content.
