## What is iQuQ?

Nobody wants to be stuck managing the music at their own party.

iQuQ gives the queue to everyone. The host starts a session with Apple Music. Guests join free on their own phones, add songs to the shared queue, and vote on what plays next. The group shapes the vibe together — in real time.

Some moments just need everyone in on the music.
• The house party where three people are in the host's ear before the first drink is poured.
• The backyard BBQ where the host's got tongs in one hand and a phone in the other, managing requests all night.
• The pregame where someone put on a breakup playlist and killed the energy before the night even started.
• The road trip where someone plugged in their phone without asking and now it's their aux for four hours.

iQuQ has been built for all of it.

One host starts the session. Everyone else joins on their own phone. The queue belongs to the room.

How it works:

Host starts a session with Apple Music. Guests join the iQuQ app — no subscription needed. Everyone adds songs. Votes move songs up. The group decides what plays.
What's in the app:

• Real-time music voting — guests vote songs up or down, the queue reorders live
• Collaborative queue — everyone adds, nobody's stuck waiting to ask the host
• Favourite songs during a session to save them for later
• Eject button for fast skips when the room needs a shift
• Score data visible to both guests and hosts so you can see how the queue is landing
• Smooth animations and haptics that make every vote feel like it counts
• Onboarding that gets a session running in under a minute
• Free guest participation — no Apple Music subscription needed to join, add, or vote

Host requirements:
An active Apple Music subscription is required to host. Guests do not need Apple Music to join, add songs, or vote. Hosting starts with a 24-hour free trial.

Subscription info:
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage subscriptions in your App Store account settings.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.7 — 2026-06-16

This update is all about the look and feel. We've refreshed the visuals across the app, tightened up the animations, and polished the details so running a session feels as good as it sounds. Cleaner, smoother, sharper — start a session and see for yourself.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-05-15

Quick Bug Fix from 1.0.5

### 1.0.5 — 2026-05-14

What’s New

Wi‑Fi session discovery — Improved how the app figures out your network after you switch between Wi‑Fi and cellular and back, so nearby host sessions are easier to find again.
Same network, clearer matching — Host session creation now uses the same Wi‑Fi identity logic as guest discovery, so the party you host is more likely to show up for guests on the same LAN.
Mesh / multi‑access‑point Wi‑Fi — With the latest API update on our servers, discovery can treat you as on the same home network even when your phone and the host report different access‑point IDs (common on mesh routers). If you haven’t deployed that backend change yet, say “coming with server update” or drop this bullet.
After reconnecting to Wi‑Fi — Reduced cases where stale Wi‑Fi details (e.g. old access‑point info) could hide a session until the network was removed and added again.
Guest Wi‑Fi list — When network info is missing, the app nudges location/Wi‑Fi refresh so discovery can retry instead of staying empty.
Join by room code (guest) — Fixed a case where entering a join code from the guest party list didn’t continue the flow when no sessions were listed.
Apple Music permission — Removed an extra full-screen step that shouldn’t have been there; the small Apple system prompt still appears when iOS needs a decision (it won’t show on every sign‑in after you’ve already allowed access—that’s normal iOS behavior).
