## What is IRC Fiber?

IRC Fiber is a modern IRC client for ircfiber.com. Features: multiple networks, channel and private messages, member lists with ops/voice, IRCv3 server-time and read markers shared with the web client, a dark theme matching ircfiber.com, report and block tools for a safe community.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-29

IRC Fiber 1.1.0 adds Style Studio.

• Tap Aa next to the message field to style what you send: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, monospace and reverse, UPPER/lower/mOcKiNg case, and zalgo
• Colours: solid, rainbow, gradient or a different colour per word, with an optional background, from the full 99-colour IRC palette
• Unicode letter styles (bold, script, fraktur, circled, small caps, upside down and more) and banner text in hundreds of FIGlet and TheDraw fonts, with a gallery that previews every font
• A live preview shows exactly what will be sent; search finds any style, Recent brings back the ones you used, and nothing changes until you tap Apply
• Networks in the channel drawer now show their avatar with a connection badge

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-28

IRC Fiber 1.0.1 is a redesign.

• Sliding drawers: swipe right for your channels and left for the people in a channel, docked beside the chat in landscape on larger iPhones
• A new chat layout with avatars, grouped messages, collapsed joins and parts, a New Messages marker and threaded replies
• Image and YouTube previews, a full-screen image viewer, and uploads of photos, videos, files and text snippets
• Notifications show who wrote and in which channel; reply to messages and accept channel invites right from the notification
• Share from any app to a channel or conversation, send messages with Siri, find channels in Spotlight and open irc:// links
• Browse a network's channel list, edit channel topics and ban lists, look people up with Whois, and op, voice, kick or ban from the member list
• Light appearance, Dynamic Type, and display and notification settings kept per device
• Faster reconnects and your full scroll-back history
