The newspaper is not balanced and fair. It has become a liberal and gossip newspaper. The standard of journalism has fallen at the Indo. I’m a long time paid up subscriber but the amount of ads both ai generated with sound and video continuously interrupts my podcast and music apps. I’ve complained in the past but it’s never fixed. Have deleted app and will reload it but if I still can’t access the full stories I’m going to cancel the subscription. I see someone else had the same issue six years ago. Will it ever be fixed? ### 1/5 — Lying by not reporting the truth *2025-04-02* Hello I’m from Ireland living in the US for nearly 30 years I have a payed subscription to the Irish Independent app for years and have always used the newspaper to stay current on what’s happening but I have lost trust and will not continue to support this newspaper because you don’t cover what’s really going on in the country about how small rural communities are being destroyed by immigration you’re no longer a trustworthy source you don’t cover the real stories of people losing their hotel s there jobs their communities are being destroyed while you write stories about unimportant issues you are a bought and paid for one sided rag that can’t be trusted to cover the real issues ### 1/5 — Privacy nightmare *2025-03-29* Wow! However what I do think is unreasonable is that after signing up and paying, the app frequently doesn’t recognise that I have subscribed and doesn’t let me see the content I have paid for. I did try to write some thing before but required a name on the piece and every name I tried it said that it was already taken and I tried some very unusual names so it’s clear to me that you’re not that interested in what I have to say.
