### 4/5 — It still hard but good

*2025-10-09, version 1.0*

Ok I like the game but at level 3 they just ambushed you but mostly it a good game

### 2/5 — Controls clunky

*2025-01-17, version 1.0*

The controls for moving the marines make my wrist hurt. The kingdom rush games were better.

### 2/5 — Yeah, no. Just not fun thanks to the game

*2024-12-14*

You start to play and you think, hey this will be a fun little casual action game, reminds me of Warhammer from back in the day. Cute but neat. But then it sends waves of enemies in the middle of a casual easy setting and it just stops being fun. It invites you in and then makes you feel stupid. Skip it unless you want to get sweaty instead of just having a good time with some tower-defense like games. Remind me what the point here is?

### 2/5 — I wish there was controller support

*2024-09-06, version 1.0*

I really love the concept of this game, but no matter what I try, my controller won't work with it. I'm forced to use the keyboard, which feels incredibly unintuitive for this type of gameplay.

### 3/5 — Wish iCloud syncing worked

*2024-08-01*

I wish iCloud syncing worked across all devices. I honestly thought that was an Apple Arcade requirement so this feels broken. Great game though which is why I’d love to pick it up on different devices.

### 4/5 — Great RTS

*2024-05-07*

A very fun strategy game that has a strong core gameplay that is complemented by unique level design. Only complaint is that the skill tree feels like it takes away fun elements of the gameplay only to give them to you two thirds into the game.

### 4/5 — Hello StarCraft, Missed You!

*2024-02-29*

This game reminds me of the campaign mode of the original StarCraft. There’s plenty to discover, and lots of upgrades for equipment and companions. Theres side missions that earn more credits. Overall, it’s definitely worth a couple of hours playing. No micro transactions with the Arcade subscription, so a game gas to stand on its own. This one, does!

### 4/5 — Epic, but takes up a lot of space on your phone

*2023-09-22*

Be warned. This game takes up about 1gb pf data on your phone. That is 20% of your icloud storage.

### 5/5 — Fantastic effort

*2023-09-21, version 1.0*

This is a great little game - runs like a dream on my M1 Pro, fantastic. Great gameplay and fun challenges. There's even a Star Trek TOS easter egg which was a great touch :)

### 5/5 — This game is great! Underrated tbh

*2023-09-18*

This is just another amazing game by iron hide it's great gameplay there's a few things I don't like like how you can change the units into different units randomly throughout the game if that's the case why bother even making a certain type + why do mechs cost three times as much as infantry if they are worse 😂 it makes no sense but whatever there are plenty of levels and special missions and difficulty it's better on Apple Arcade as you can use all the heroes but even without it's an amazing game.

### 3/5 — Fix the game please

*2023-09-12, version 1.0*

I would really like to play this game I am a big fan of ironhide games but it will not even let me start this game ,it says processing and won’t load, devs please have a solution for this.

### 4/5 — Ok

*2023-09-06, version 1.0*

It’s an great game but needs more content. I beat it in less than a week and now nothing more to do.

### 5/5 — Endless mode

*2023-08-30*

Hello! Can I just say that this is a great game! But can you add an endless mode? Like one were you have to survive endless hordes of the aliens? Love the game and pls pls pls make endless mode.

### 5/5 — Finally a decent rts

*2023-08-22, version 1.0*

Ah yes a proper good rts game to play again after years of rarely seeing any. Plays well on mobile and plays well with keyboard mouse on the macbook. Although the control is terrible if played on MacBook via touchpad, so control could do with a bit more intuitive.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No Multiple Saves or Completely fresh restarts

*2026-02-02*

You only have one save with the option to clear your progress. However, all this does is reset your missions and achievements. You still keep all of your heroes, items and currency, meaning that this “clear progress” option is only half true. Please give us the option to have 100% fresh restarts and/or multiple gave saves.

### 1/5 — Pass

*2025-03-27, version 1.0*

One of the poorest designs imo for movement and attack, which is 95% of the game. I like the idea, concept, and the game design, but if I’m not able to efficiently move and attack then what does the rest matter?

### 1/5 — Not playable on Macbook Pro

*2024-05-18*

This game is non-functional on a Macbook Pro without a mouse. Every mac game in history that requires a "right-click" has used control-click or command-click instead, but for some reason almost every Mac Appstore game doesn't allow this, including this one. Unless you want to use some complicated multi-touch gesture or set a specific area on the trackpad to count as "right-click" which is pretty much impossible to use in real world play, then this game is completely useless. I don't know if this is some kind of Apple standard not to allow control-click functionality or if these game developers are too stupid to program it in. Either way, if you're using a Macbook without a two-button mouse, don't waste you're time. The game is unplayable.

### 1/5 — Stuck on "Press any key to start"

*2024-04-03, version 1.0*

Unplayable on macOS - can't start a single game since it gets stuck on the "Press any key to start" page.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2024-01-04, version 1.0*

Why they force you to watch cutscenes on the same level after losing is a complete waste of gamers time.

Oh wait. They are forcing us to watch cut scenes so they can increase their play time to make more money.

Deleted.

And you should too.

### 1/5 — Stuck on loading screen

*2023-09-25, version 1.0*

Stuck on loading screen. iOS 17 on iPad.

### 1/5 — Was fun tell they cheat

*2023-08-02, version 1.0*

One of those electric or fire guys are stronger then a Flamer or anything I have no that’s so stupid and so many where are they coming form where ? There not being made just appearing on the thin air just stupid I’ll never play this crap again 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

### 1/5 — Won’t let me play

*2023-07-13, version 1.0*

Everytime I open the app i get stuck on the title screen

### 1/5 — please fix your game

*2023-06-18, version 1.0*

when ever I try to get in to the game I’ll be stuck on processing and have be writing for a half an hour now

### 1/5 — Won’t me play

*2023-06-10, version 1.0*

I cannot even start the game because it gets stuck on a “processing screen”. Developers please help.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very worth playing

*2026-02-20, version 1.0*

I played this game for a week or two, a very great game worth the journey. Wish for a sequel.

### 5/5 — Amazing Game Amazing design

*2026-01-05*

The only thing I would change is to add a option in the settings to make a tap to move instead of drag

### 5/5 — So much fun cut short

*2025-10-06*

Super fun, but cut short. Once you get the hang of it you start going through the levels faster, and there aren’t that many. You still can do the special Ops but there’s not much after that.
It needed more levels. Once you beat them all a couple times you get they aren’t as fun and you know how to do everything. Also once you get so good you can’t get better. It’s still is supper fun.

### 5/5 — This game is awesome!

*2025-06-29*

Okay, let’s talk. I like this game for many, MANY reasons. 1. I like the change of formula: I’m just going to say it, I’m not a die hard kingdom rush fan, I only played vengeance. But I think I’ll like iron marines better than any kr. I’m just a magnet attracted to non kingdom rush iron hide games, (iron marines, junk world.) But I’m getting off track, as I said, I like the change in formula. It’s really interesting, a tower defense/RTS mashup. It’s the fun of tower defense with a cool twist, you get to move around units, which I personally really like.:):3	2. The art and genre: the graphics are gorgeous, color everywhere, and animations are great too (especially with Easter eggs, more on that later). The genre is amazing too, I may be a bit biased because I love fantasy/sci-fi but 🤪. The first world starts off strong, with all these gross but good looking insectoids. The planet is great, with goo puddles and stuff to really give off a disgusting vibe. The second world is a more robot world, really leans a lot into the sci-fi genre. The robots are really cool, I like that in this world, most enemy’s have unique abilities, like respawning structures and making shields. World three is good too, but the actual world is nothing special, just some run of the mill snowy wasteland. The enemy’s are really cool though. The designs are pretty much all the same, but the abilities are a different story. I won’t tell you they are though, you’ll have to play the game for that ☺️. 3. Easter eggs and humor: From what I’ve heard, iron hide is the king of Easter eggs, and that’s true. Every single one have animations, which show how much care they put into their games. Nothing else to say they’re just really good. 4. Gameplay and bosses: long story short: it’s really fun. Short story long: every enemy adds a different layer to this challenging cake. For example, there are guys spitting acid at your defenders, the defenders died but your towers are easily destroying the worms. Then a hammer tongue is destroying the towers letting the worms destroy your base.😱. See what I mean? Each enemy adds to the challenge in a different way. The bosses are really good too. My favorite is second world boss. Here’s a rundown of the fight. First phase: he’s spawning flying robots that shoot an onslaught of lasers at you. Second phase: he keeps the flying robots but also spawns ground robots that if close enough to a tower spot will go in it, stopping you from putting a tower their. Third phase: he goes berserk, getting rid of his robot servants, shoot out huge beams, dealing huge damage, and is also able to release huge onslaughts of lasers on the player. Sounds epic? It’s also epic in game. And that is why I love iron marines. (Fun fact, one of the heroes: Shatra, was in kingdom rush: fronteirs.)

### 5/5 — me lik it

*2025-05-14, version 1.0*

i think it will bee cool. i might white a reviw after i actuly play

### 5/5 — Holy StarCraft!

*2024-08-04*

This might be the best game in Apple Arcade after Fantasian. Super solid gameplay and very challenging. I was stuck on the Tyrant for a few try’s until I realized a better strategy. Which is what makes this game great. You can use various setups to complete missions without need to spend money except in game coins that can easily be earned. The fact that it is a mod to StarCraft is just icing on the cake.

### 5/5 — Game is a good time

*2024-03-30, version 1.0*

Control takes a little getting use to, but once you do the game is fun. All units you face have some weaknesses as do your units, pay attention and switch accordingly you’ll be fine.

### 5/5 — Five star

*2024-02-14, version 1.0*

Good

### 5/5 — WE NEED IRON MARINES 2 NOW

*2023-11-14, version 1.0*

THIS GAME IS AWESOME PLZ MAKE ANOTHER ONE NOWWWWWWWWW

### 5/5 — Yes

*2023-09-23, version 1.0*
