### 5/5 — It’s good

It’s good

### 5/5 — Best Free Workout Tracker

*2026-04-10, version 1.6*

It does all the essentials, helps you track and keeps you on point with your workouts. Can’t find your fav workout from the list? You can add it! It would be super cool if on the informational gif of a specific workout, the muscles you were targeting would be highlighted:) But that’s just aesthetics. If you’re on the fence about this app, just get it. It does all of what the paid for apps would do, but for free. Heck, I’d even be willing to pay $20-30 a year for this.

### 5/5 — Nice minimalistic workout app!

*2026-04-05, version 1.6*

I was looking for such app for a long time. I want to thank you the developer for making it.

### 5/5 — No Stupid Subscriptions

*2026-03-24, version 1.6*

Just what everyone needs.

### 5/5 — Free /simple

*2026-03-13, version 1.6*

Free and simple when you just want the logging and not the coaching

### 5/5 — As good as you can get for a free app

*2026-02-20, version 1.6*

Only thing it doesn’t have, for me, is cardio and forearms but you can manually add those.

### 5/5 — Probably the best

*2026-02-16, version 1.6*

Open source, minimal, all you need, no ads, completly free. Export options, health logs, history, minimal but powerful data.

What more could you want. One of the best ive seen yet on the app store.

### 5/5 — Best workout tracker

*2026-02-03, version 1.6*

I’ve used a lot of workout trackers. This one has doesn’t have any in app purchases or adds or anything that’s annoying. UI & UX is great. Freemium level software at its finest. Well done.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-02-02, version 1.6*

No frills no ads great product for someone new to the gym or a seasoned vet. Very simple but does its job extremely well with no fluff. Don’t change anything

### 5/5 — Love it - minor feedback

*2026-01-30, version 1.6*

For a free app, this is great. Love the minimalist design and customization ability of exercises and routines.

Feedback:
• Should have default rest timer settings for “compound” and “accessory” work rather than dumbbell/barbell.
• Needs customizable or more options for exercise set tags. Would like a “Warmup” set tag, maybe “Giant” and/or “Super”.

### 5/5 — It works. Period.

*2026-01-22, version 1.6*

I had been looking for a privacy focused app and Iron hasn’t disappointed. I have been using it for over a year and taking a leaf from the developer I also built Solv Fitness Intelligence app to understand the impact of my workouts

### 5/5 — Fit for purpose.

*2026-01-20, version 1.6*

I’ve been using Iron for well over a year now. It works. Period.

I’ve been wondering how to analyze and interpret, not only the data, but also results. So I came up with Solv Fitness Intelligence to answer “Is my training producing results?” by synthesizing strength data from Iron, cardio, nutrition and recovery into outcome level insights. Just like I’ve benefited from Iron, I’m hoping Iron users can benefit from Solv.

### 5/5 — Free with No Ads

*2025-12-28, version 1.6*

This app is perfect for logging workouts, tracking progress, and even has a timer in between sets. My respects to the maker, thank you so much!

### 5/5 — Awesome sauce

*2025-12-23, version 1.6*

The fact that you get all these options and features and it’s free 10/10 perfect

### 5/5 — Love It!!

*2025-12-17, version 1.6*

This is an easy app for beginner’s like me! I love this app!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Still missing a lot of workouts

*2023-12-28, version 1.6*

We’ve been asking for updates to their prepopulated workout list and nothing has been added in over a year. There’s zero cardio workouts, half of the standard gym machines aren’t there, and quite a few plate workouts are missing. Yes they can be added manually but they aren’t available in a search, it doesn’t track progress, and you have to manually input calories if you’re tracking. It’s not the best but it’s probably the simplest workout logging app. They need to update the workout list though. It’s been out for a few years and zero updates to it. It’s almost 2024….

### 1/5 — Unable to edit reps or weight

*2023-06-27, version 1.6*

If I could give no stars I would

### 2/5 — Difficult at best

*2025-03-18, version 1.6*

Just when I thought I had it all figured out, it changed my workout sets to Minutes from Weigh. I don’t want to track the minutes I lift, I want to track my weights. Just difficult to use. Free or not, not worth the effort

### 2/5 — Used to be great

*2024-06-01*

When I first got the app it was set up for sets/weight/reps and after every set the timer would start. It was perfect!! Recently they changed it to some time based thing. I reached out to ask if there was an option to switch it back via email. After a week and multiple emails there was no response. So disappointing since it was so perfect for my training. Please make it an option again so I can continue using this app! Thank you!

### 4/5 — As simple as that

*2026-03-18, version 1.6*

This app is exactly what I was looking for: something as simple as pen and paper to keep track of your workouts.
Only four stars because Apple Health is not working. Every time I try to update, my phone crashes.

### 4/5 — Best free app ever but

*2026-01-26, version 1.6*

Needs some little changes to get the fifth star

Thank u team

### 4/5 — Solid training app.

*2026-01-15, version 1.6*

Really solid workout tracking app. Clean interface, easy exercise creation, and flexible logging without unnecessary clutter. It’s especially good for people who like to customise movements rather than rely only on preset exercises. The only area holding it back from 5 stars is muscle group classification — some categories are a bit broad for compound or hybrid lifts. A more granular breakdown (for example separating shoulder heads, traps, etc.) would make tracking even more accurate. That said, it’s excellent value, especially as a free app, and clearly built by someone who understands training. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves.

### 4/5 — Good but needs improvement on keyboard

*2026-01-02, version 1.6*

Keyboard messed up and overlaps other buttons

### 4/5 — Simple and effective

*2025-11-10, version 1.6*

It does what you need it to do. No fancy bells and whistles.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best workout tracking app

*2026-07-19, version 1.6*

I’ve tried a bunch. This is the best one by far.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-06-08, version 1.6*

This app is an amazing platform to track your workouts. I LOVE IT

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-05-26, version 1.6*

Does everything I want it to without overcomplicating things, and no paid addons!

### 5/5 — Simple no fuss

*2026-05-24, version 1.6*

Simple, No Fuss Tracker, Love It

### 5/5 — Actually free ~ no late stage selling

*2026-05-23, version 1.6*

Amazing app. It’s refreshing to find a simple, straightforward app that doesn’t eventually ask me to buy anything. The creator is a saint for doing this!

### 5/5 — Just what I need

*2026-05-11, version 1.6*

I’m an older woman just getting back into weight training. It’s been so long I can barely remember the names of the exercises. I think this app is perfect in terms of listing all the various exercises for different muscles, showing short “videos” of what the movements look like and setting up your entire routine. Additionally you can personalize reps and sets as well as break timers within the routine. I’m so thankful to the creators of this app for not charging a fee to use it as I wouldn’t have been able to develop a practice had that not been the case. Other training apps are so expensive and I haven’t found one as great as this one!

### 5/5 — Best App Ever.

*2026-05-03, version 1.6*

Never leave reviews but this deserves one. Simple. Easy to use. May not get any more updates but is customizable enough to be a complete logging app on your phone. Please never get rid of this.

### 5/5 — Tracking is immaculate

*2026-04-21, version 1.6*

Only problem is I wish they had more workouts and implemented forearm workouts

### 5/5 — The Perfect Gym App

*2026-04-20, version 1.6*

This app is great! It has helped me put together a routine that is manageable and effective. If I had to grieve about one thing it would be there aren’t a lot or any exercises that focus on the lower back and forearms. But still worth the memory space on your phone

### 5/5 — Keyboard and Menu overlap

*2026-04-18, version 1.6*

Keyboard and menus overlap and not able to use the keyboard
