## What is Ironhold?

One castle. Endless waves. Every rebuild starts higher than the last.

Ironhold is an idle tower defense set in the world of Thornveil, where you command a single keep across an unending siege. Place your defenders. Route your gold. Watch the walls hold — or don't. When the keep falls, the coffers fill, and the next siege begins stronger than the one before.

This is a game of small decisions that compound. Every coin picks a lane. Every upgrade sharpens the loop. Every run teaches you where the walls will break next.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

— Defend across endless waves. Wave 40 is not the end. Wave 400 is not the end.
— Recruit from eleven great Houses. Fifty-five named defenders at launch, each with their own strengths and their own price if they fall.
— Route your gold across attack, defense, and support. Every siege is a new economy.
— Rescue what the walls take. When a defender is captured, you can send others to bring them home.
— Return to progress. The keep works while you're away — resources, waves, and stones accumulate offline.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

— The roster stays with you. Named defenders level up, remember their wounds, and carry your history across every run.
— The Veilwatch turns each week. New invasion scenarios, new leaderboards, new pressure.
— Twenty-eight artifacts to unlock, each one bending the siege in a different direction.
— No timers standing between you and the next decision.

Ironhold is built for players who want the depth of a strategy game and the pace of an idle one. The walls will fall. That's part of the loop. The chronicle is what you build across every rise and every ruin.

Hold the line. Rebuild higher.

Contains optional rewarded ads and in-app purchases. Both are entirely skippable.

### 5/5 — It’s got an Iron hold on me!

*2026-09-04*

This game is awesome. Fun. Addictive as all hell. Really easy to pick up, but also hasincredibly deep up upgrade paths and styles. Plus quests! Who doesn’t like quests? (Cue the sound of crickets, because there is no one who doesn’t love a good quest!)

### 5/5 — So much great in one package!

*2026-09-03*

This is by far one of the best app games I’ve ever played. The game play, the build options, and the limitless nuggets waiting to be discovered make this a must-play. I wish I could give it six stars!

**Developer response:** Really appreciate that, and how you said it, cuz there’s more “nuggets”coming after this week as well as the Veilwatch system, where new ways to execute a siege will happen.

### 5/5 — For idle and dungeon lovers

*2026-09-03*

Ironhold has made idle games fun for me again!

Candidly, I love a half-idle game where I can tune in every few minutes rather than once an hour - this game crushes it. The castle defense aspect scratches the itch of leveling and earning against a never ending hoard of goblins, dragons and orcs, but the cool part is capturing heroes.

While playing, heroes enter the field and you can capture different levels (common -> radiant) they can improve your tower defense in future rounds, but what I LOVE is that I can send them on quests at the beginning and end of my day.
This part is a completely idle way to earn which is way better than starting a tower defense before bed and waking up to losing at level 300 like I’ve done with games like The Tower.

To me this opens up a world of possibilities for grinding stones and gems and leveling up my heroes as well as my castle.

Would highly recommend this game and can’t wait to see it evolve the hero stories and side quests

**Developer response:** Thanks so much, and the roster (character) system was the surprise feature I added before realizing it would be core to the whole game. And that will be a huge focus for the next few updates, with better feedback, branching quests, and an incremental system that flows out of the quests and dungeon. Also, dungeon bosses will matter very soon!
