## What is IronLock?

IronLock Guard Monitor is the lone-worker safety app for security officers on shift.

It is provided by your employer. You need an account and a scheduled shift from your
security firm to use it.

SHIFT CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Start and end your shift from your phone. Your site, hours and patrol area are shown
before you begin, and your monitoring centre knows the moment you are on duty.

WELFARE CHECKS
The app prompts you at random intervals through your shift. Enter the four-digit code
to confirm you are safe. If a check goes unanswered, your monitoring centre is alerted
so someone comes looking.

PHOTO VERIFICATION
Capture a live verification photo when your monitoring centre asks for one, or on your
shift's own schedule. Photos are timestamped and tied to the shift they belong to.

LOCATION WHILE ON SHIFT
Your position is recorded while a shift is active, including when your phone is locked
and the app is closed, so your team knows where you are if something goes wrong.
Tracking starts when you begin a shift and stops when you end it. It never runs
between shifts.

WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL
Welfare checks and photo verification keep working when there is no coverage.
Everything you record is stored encrypted on the device and sent automatically once
you are back online, so a dead spot never becomes a missed check.

BUILT FOR THE JOB
Large controls that work in gloves and in the dark. A countdown you can read at a
glance. Nothing to configure on site.

## Version history (last 1 release)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-07

A DISTINCT ALERT FOR CHECKS
Welfare checks and photo requests now have their own alert tone instead of your
normal notification sound, and it sounds for about 20 seconds. A check is much
harder to miss with your phone in a pocket.

SHARPER VERIFICATION PHOTOS
Verification photos are now captured at 720p, up from 480p, so detail holds up
when your monitoring centre reviews them.

WHEN A CHECK IS LATE
If a scheduled check has not arrived and your connection is fine, the home
screen now says so, instead of leaving you wondering whether the app has
stopped working.

MORE RELIABLE ON A POOR CONNECTION
Work recorded offline is delivered more reliably once you are back online, and
a check you are answering now is never slowed down by uploads running in the
background.

SMALLER FIXES
The app no longer flashes a white screen as it opens, and the permissions
screen explains more clearly what each permission is for.
